He'd made it! He'd really made it! Thackery hurriedly climbed out of the pool in only his underwear and skipped back towards the gargoyle, expectantly holding his hands out. "Key! I did really good! Key please!" The gargoyle tossed it into his hands, and he made a small eeeeee noise in response. lengths swum: 32

Concerned, Thackery pushed on the last unexplored door, finding himself face to face with his younger self again.
Except this one wasn't so nice.
"You didn't protect him," he said, pointing an accusatory finger.
Thackery shoved him in a panic.
"No, nuh-uh, I wouldn't have..."

Thackery climbed the stairs and felt full of regret.
He opened the screeching door that he'd skipped earlier, ears pinned down at the sides of his head, ashamed.
This presented him as an extremely easy target. The raven descended on him and killed him in one quick motion.

This door had to be faced, whether or not he wanted to. He held his breath and pushed it open, trying to duck under the raven's first attack. It caught one of his ears, and he yelped, startled.
