[[Death Division - Full Hunter - 28 Seconds]]
While his start had been slow, Otto found ways to work with the water. The body was small, but the will was strong, and he finished his lap in good time.

Assured that Lucky was alive, and giving a small salute to Peyton, Shiloh slipped back into the water. His form wasn't spectacular, and he wasn't particularly fast but as far as most of his division went, at least he could actually swim. Time: 33

[ previous roll: chimarii rolled 11 6-sided dice: 3, 2, 5, 4, 1, 4, 1, 6, 5, 2, 3 Total: 36(11-66) ]Chel looked up at Allan with a big smile. She was so proud of her leader. Considering she'd never seen his true power, Chel just considered Allan to be a really cute little nerdy guy. She hadn't yet learned to fear him.
"Be careful sweet pea," she urged Nevada, "Wait for the bandages from Jason, THEN go kick a**." Chel then looked up at Dory and grinned. "C'mon bluey, let's go!" She then linked arms with him and dragged him towards the edge, whether he liked it or not.
Lining up at the peg Chel waited for the whistle, then dove. The water rushed over her and Chel paddled happily. She was quite a fish in the water, and returned in no time.

Ami was content to sit there and watch the beautiful swimmers. No water for her, thank you very much. Just beautiful abs. Oh Robert, you were looking stunning today. Rep ... well Rep had never been her type but those abs were definitely her type. Otto- no ew it was weird to look at Otto that way. But it didn't mean he wasn't hands-
BANG.

A bullet shot two feet from her hands. Ami turned in the direction of the sound to yell at the wayward gunslinger, only to find Simon on the other end of the gun.
Well you didn't need to tell Ami twice. In about five seconds flat she'd stripped down to her t-shirt, leaving her shoes, tights and skirt neatly folded on the side of the pool, towards the wall.
When it was her turn, Ami dove into the water with beautiful form. She'd never done any swimming except recreationally, so she was nothing special. She thanked god her hair had been up in a braid- as it always was. It kept her hair out of her face, and her vision clear. By the time she was out of the water, she was shaking herself off angrily (somewhat like a bristled cat). Instead of heading to the kiddie pool, just she just stood by the side, waiting for everyone to finish.

Lawr walked into the cafeteria not expecting the chaos that lay within.
He found himself underwater and panicked - suddenly in a flashback to Wonder Park and his previous near-death, swimming frantically in what he hoped was the direction of escape.
He flailed around for almost a full minute trying to get out, it was pretty sad. At least he had endurance?

"Division swim meet," Gale repeated. "Why does this sound suspiciously like a Mark idea."
Of course, Allan was not too far behind Mark in terms of sheer weirdness, so either one of them was relatively. Gale sighed, reached up, and tugged off his soaked shirt, wringing it out over the pool. At least he had already been in shorts this time (coming from the training grounds), though his shoes were now gross and soggy. He pulled them off, emptied out the water, and then set them aside.
"Well," he said to Stormy, with his hands on his hips. "I guess there's no harm in trying, is there?"
Then he dived into the water.

The first lap went all right, he supposed, but Gale decided to try the turn at a bit different pace than he'd been at initially.
Then he looked as his life choices and decided nope, swimming back to the end of the pool and hauling himself out, dripping wet and shivering a little as he made his way back to Stormy.
"Sometimes I wonder about this place..."

As it turned out, watching a competition involving a skill that Mimsy didn't grasp was not nearly as amusing as she thought it would be. Robert seemed pleased with himself, though she couldn't be certain when it came to Robert if that actually meant anything, and several others were just as smug after him. None of them, however, were drowning like she and Lucky had been, so they were at least capable enough to avoid bodily harm. Boooo. She idly kicked her feet in the water and glanced from one side of the pool to the other, hoping for something exciting. Or at least something that made any amount of sense. Why couldn't the cafeteria have turned into a hadron collider instead?

Bix liked to swim but besides the lakes back home and one summer as a lifeguard, he didn't exactly have competitive swimming experience. He did freestyle to the end, but didn't quite grasp the flip-turn so instead just tagged and pushed off again. By the time he reached the end he was glad to see he'd tied with his bro Gale. "Woooo!" Soaking wet he hauled himself out and sauntered in his spiderman swimsuit to give Gale a hearty sports-butt-slap. [ 29 seconds - no sun bonus (tied time)]

"Allan," she corrected distractedly because Gale was taking his shirt off Gale was taking his shirt off. Stormy averted her gaze (it wasn't proper! they hadn't been dating even a month!) and nodded mildly, feeling her face color. "Uh, good luck?" she added with a glance, realizing her words were belated: he had already entered the pool.
Oh God, swimming. She wasn't a strong one, the cruise mission had proved that. But she couldn't chicken out either...Okay, deep breaths.
Self-consciously she peeled her shirt off to reveal a bright one piece that she had immediately regretted wearing; she did, however, keep her pajama shorts, because no.
It was with a whimper that Stormy fell in, not a dive but not a belly flop either. Her form wasn't exactly...graceful in the water. She wasn't flailing too much at least...

...until she hit the deep end. Then her heart really started racing. It didn't help that the water was still rolling about from previous swimmers, and though she tried to mimic the fluidity she'd seen in Gale and Bix's style, it...really amounted to more dog paddling. Slow dog paddling. Frantic trying not to look bad slow going dog paddling.
By the time Stormy got out, she was flushed from exertion and shame, and just sort of laid on the ground with her face hidden by her hair in hopes her fellow Mists wouldn't notice her. And also to stop wheezing and coughing out water.
Shame.

Solia was not okay. Not okay at all. Guy she liked looking at her. Trying to speak french and- He said a thing!Israfel let out an excited chirp. A thing a thing a thing a thing! He did, he did say a thing. A nice thing. And it made Solia all the more nervous. Then he turned away from her and she was left lacking in Jason. Jasonless. Without a Jason. Solia's brain was on a short wire, not sure where to send signals and what to do. A pool of water was in front of her, along with Allan and him talking about swimming and times and- Solia just quietly slid into the pool, looking for a corner to occupy and wallow in teenage emotional misery that was feelings.
