As the counter-spell worked its magic, Draconia struggled free from the encroaching tree branches and looked around her.
"Oh, dear!" It was chaos, as far as her eyes could see! What was she thinking, joining the CIRCUS? Finally, Drake spied Glen, perched with Rory behind him on top of JD's convertible.
"Glen!!!!" She cried out and started to run to him. "What's going-erk!"

Finally untangled from the chainsaws, Bartleby Farnum had crept up behind the dragon ghoul, twisting an arm behind her back and brandishing his tricked-out cane.
"Back! Back, all of you disgusting freak things!" The panting normie cried out, dragging Draconia backwards with him. "One wrong move and I'll...."
He waved the cane threateningly towards Draconia. He glanced sidelong at Hagetha, who had heaved herself into a sitting position and was rubbing her dented hairdo.
"For Benjamin's sake, madame, right yourself and take care of this rabble! I won't be stopped by a group of freaky brats! Not again!"

Ronan glared at Doriana. "You never have time for ANYTHING." He rolled his eyes and turned his attention to Farnum, hands balling into fists as he approached.
"YOU!"
This man was responsible, him and his revolting witch companion. They'd made them sleep on hard floors, eat nothing but revolting turnips, had them risk their lives for idle amusement!? He was NOT impressed, no, Ronan was in fact fuming. Selkie valued their freedom, and Ronan particularly valued his education. How dare they make him think it was ok to run off and join this ridiculous circus!
"let her go." He hesitated, much as he wanted little more than to pummel the guy, they had to get him to let go of Draconia first.

Doriana opened her mouth to respond as Dashner pushed past her to get to the normie to was holding his beastie captive. He stood beside Ronan, giving Fernum an annoyed expression.
"Let my beastie go." Dashner crossed his arms, as Fernum wouldn't let her go. "NOW."

Tori was happy to see the tree go back to it's roots. putting a spell on the tree like that only confused it and made it angry.
"Thank you, Glen. It's just not natural for it to be alive like that. Poor Tree-Spirit was very confused." She said to him as she quickly hugged the tree, then let it go.
She thought it was all over when the other MH kids where getting back to normal, but she was wrong when she saw Farnum grab Draconia!
"Let her go!!" She cupped her hands over her mouth to shout to him.

"hrrrrrk...heeeeeelp. Get off me!" Nero gasped. The witch was sitting on his chest and crushing his lungs, he couldn't take a deep enough breath to heave her off.
"Broooo, heeeeelp.....she's fallen and I caaan't get uuuup..."
He struggled to turn over and crawl away. Minutes ago all he could think about was how clawesome the circus was and working on his act with Kai, then a Glen said something and now all he could think about was getting this enormous witch off of him.

"You might be from Avalon but the time for Kings and knights-in-shining-armor to come and save you is over!" She was feeling very helpless right now, and could only grip her whip tighter. She could only hope that those vicious mew-mew kittens would jump out of no where and attack! But that didn't happen! sweatdrop
"This is a monster's modern world and you are a modern dragon-ghoul! Write you're own adventure story! And save you're self! Are you going to let him treat you like that? I don't think so!"
Vanissha's always wanted to give a thrilling, rally the troops up speech! And she thought she was going a good job so far! Acting class was really doing well for her!
"Don't just stand there! Hit 'im with you're best shot!" Then added as an after thought. "... or at least you're wings.... Sheesh, you've gotten the rest of us with them more then once..." She really needs to work on filtering what she says

The swamp witch cackled as she stepped in front of Draconia and Bartleby and she let out a screech, aiming her wand up toward the sky. All the kids looked up as a jet of light emanated from the witch's wand into the clouds. The sky instantly urned dark and foreboding and a funnel cloud formed and from within it, a mass of flying shadows surged forth!"Catacomb gargoyles!" Rory yelped and the flying beasts from the catacombs beneath the school descended from the dark clouds and flew toward the children!
And immediately Glen aimed his own wand up at the sky and a colorful array of light jetted from his wand and formed a rainbow over the dark clouds, and the kids heard a whole new sound. Flapping of gentle, feathered wings and a battle screech -- and flying monkeys from Oz arrived on the scene and aimed right for the gargoyles before they could reach the kids!
As the aerial battle drew the attention of the kids, Glen looked at Kai and laughed."Mom said they haven't seen active combat in decades!""Glen! Look out!"Glen turned and brought his wand up just in time to deflect a blast from Hagetha! She fired off two more powerful spells, each one sending the boo witch stumbling back but he was able to just manage to deflect them -- until he lost his footing and fell to his backside.
Hagetha looked to Farnum and cackled."What are they teaching these brACK!"And a spell thrown by Glen knocked Hagetha back against Draconia and Farnum, forcing the normie villain to release his grip on Glen's beastie!
Hagetha looked enraged!"How DARE you...!"And she whipped her wand around just as Glen swished his own and right before the kids' startled eyes, their little bluddy Glen was magically dueling the swamp witch! Both witches slashed and twirled their wands and jets of magic and flashes of light ignited toward the other, and magical shields rippled in the air, deflecting the spells!

Draconia saw Glen's courageous resolve, and heard Vanissha's words. Truth be told, she couldn't tell WHERE exactly Vanissha's rude-but-too-true speech was coming from, but it hit home deep in her ruby heart.
"Bartleby Farnum....you are RUDE and uncouth and how DARE you put your hands on me!" Draconia's wings sprung up angrily, knocking Farnum back and sending his staff flying right towards Melody Nocturna.
With him disarmed, Draconia stood in front of what he saw as an ARMY of angry monsters! Flames ignited near her mouth as she stalked forward, followed by Tori, JD Leeds, Dashner Hawke (whose advance was halted by a pie smacking him right in the face) and the rest of the gathered students.
Farnum's face turned pale and he struggled to swallow as he backed away from the advancing group of students.

"N-n-n-now, let's talk about this...." Bartleby gulped again as he backed up, holding up his hands and trying his best to look innocent. "I-I-I think we've, uh, I think we've had a bit of a misunderstanding here, heh, heh...."
He glanced over to Hagetha, who was lobbing lightning bolts back and forth with the little green witch boy....no help there! Farnum tried to keep his voice from cracking.
"We can make a deal, you see? F-F-Fame and fortune, that's what I have to offer! I can make you all famous! And rich! Stars of the Cirque Sinistaire! Wouldn't that be a dream come true?!"
His words weren't working. Draconia let out an angry huff, and it caused a small fireball to ignite, nearly singing Farnum's mustache.
"Aa-aaa-aaah!" He moaned as he scuttled back further. What choice did he have now? There was no escape! Farnum backed up again-
*click!*
Farnum jumped as a door of bars fell down from nowhere, separating him from the angry advancing monster mob!
"Wh-what?!" Farnum spun around, and then realized, in terror...
"The final cage! N-no! I'm trapped! Let me out! LET ME OUT!" Farnum grabbed the bars and gave them a shake. Near his hands, Merabell Ice growled and barked at him.
"I changed my mind! Keep me in! Keep me in!"

Ronan advanced with the others, seemed Glen was handling things just fine with the swamp witch.
"What do we do with him?" He looked to the others, should they contact the authorities?

Jewels crawled from her hiding place, yelping on alarm at the aerial battle raging above.
" Caverns below... not shiny, not shiny at all.. " She hurried away as a gargoyle plummeted impressively from the sky and landed on the car with a crash. Oh dear, JD was going to be most upset.
Spells flew around the clearing, and Jewels had the feeling this really wasn't the safest place to be right now. "Kai, Nero, watch yourselves!" She raced across the battlefield, ducking and dodging low flying monkeys and gargoyles returning to the fray above. "Move!" she screamed as a deflected spell hurtled in their direction. She threw herself to the ground as another whizzed past her head.

Melody dusted herself off after thanking Felix and the others for letting her loose from the trees rough branches, scratches were all along her arms and legs but otherwise she was fine.
She walked to find the crowd all looking at the evil ringmaster as he was yelping for help from his cage before Mera gave a good growl, changing his mind instantly.
Melody stood her guitar by one hip and put her hand on the other, a look of disgust dusted across Melody's face as she looked at the man who imprisoned he cousin for so long; her eyes began to change, but she stayed calm and sighed, knowing he was now okay.
But what to do with the ferocious Farnum?

Felix rubbed his sore horns, he really needed to let them grow before he headbutted another tree.
He winced touching his horns, yeah, they'd sting for a couple of days.
Oh well.
He caught up with the others, looking at the circus boss in the cage.
Well, now what? he thought.
