Kirin had rose an eyebrow at the woman as she had stared at him for a few moments actually causing his cheeks to turn a soft pink. What the hell was she staring at? Was there something wrong with his hat? Pulling it off his head and flipping it over looking at the black fabric and writing stiched into it saying. "Armail's Finest." and the back reading "Lone Wolf". Jesus he loved the hat really it was comfy. Hearing her finally speak up and brush past him he would raise his hand up to the dragon kin and head out with the woman following behind him. Builder would skip happily behind them both

Adept rank was just around the corner, all she needed to do was go for it. She REALLY hoped that Kirin wasn't a drone himself, or else things would get pretty boring. She saw people doing things in the Training Zone and sighed in annoyance.

OoC:

After his resignation, the city had fallen so low. Raphael had married some random kid, leaving Jasper in the dust. He changed the name of the city to fit his desires. He even made that kid he married King. It was awfully insulting. But of course, Raphael still acted as if he and Jasper still shared a bond, but it was clear that whatever they had was over when Jasper decided to slow things down. He'd been feeling this way for several days now. To him, the bond was almost already severed. But now, even with Raphael so far away, Jasper finally severed the bond. Wherever Raphael was, he'd feel it. His feelings were no longer connected to Jasper's, and vice versa. Throughout the time, Raphael was able to feel what Jasper was feeling, yet he never acted on it. With Envy fueling his thoughts, it only got worse. Occasionally, his eye's would flash a bright green as Envy tried to push through. She was able to take over his mind, but she failed to take form. There was nothing she'd like to do more than to just seek Kirin out and blast him into oblivion, but even Envy, with all her power, was not strong enough to handle both kings of Aramil. She wouldn't win, she didn't have enough power. Instead, she'd leave. When Jasper severed the bond, it'd hurt Raphael enough, if he ever actually cared about Jasper. After gathering all of Jasper's things, they left, never to return to this place again.

Favnir gave a big huff as his fight was stopped before it started. He pulled a book out about Aramil. It listed there was a vault, he smiled grimly at the though. "What was in there?" He thought "Gold? Jewels?" He chuckled softly as his lust for riches rose.

He then read that to get through the vault was a challenge itself. A test for his might it seemed. He closed the book and headed for the shops.

Raziel would walk into the training zone with a half finished cigarette, deep brown eyes scanning the training grounds as he looked for the one called Ares. Ares would probably see him first however, as Raziel wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for. he would continue to idly take drags from the cigarette, listening to the casual conversations. Some people were talking fearfully of the attack, but Raziel paid them no mind. He figured he could defend himself fairly well.

((Permission from Wulf to start my own training with bonuses))
((Btw wulf, most of it is training posts. the only thing you really have to read is the bottom paragraph.))
Raziel would immediately get to work on making s**t. The first thing he decided to make would be some concussion grenades. These grenades were extremely simple. He gathered up the necessary tools and shells, filling the grenade up and putting it together so that in the end it looked like any ordinary grenade.

Immediately after he began making the grenades, Raziel looked around the training grounds with interest. Whoever had stocked this area obviously had mechanists in mind. There were several tools, pieces of metal, welding and forging material, wieres and power supplies, the whole deal. He was probably supposed to be learning skills here, but the mechanist could not pass up building a robot right now. Hell, he even had the blueprints for it. He pulled out the blueprints, spreading them across the table before grabbing all of the necessary materials. He began melding the pieces of the frame together, and within a short time the basic frame of the body would already become formed, the mechanist working as quickly and efficiently as possible. He lit a cigarette, placing it in between his lips as he continued working. Soon enough, even the frame for the head and arms would become formed. He then began Shaping the metal for the legs frame, assuring that it would be able to take sufficient weight. After adding that to the frame he would start doing all of the wiring, shocks and hydraulics, and programming, putting a rather remarkable AI program into it'a memory system. Right now you could tell it would be some sort of mechanical dinosaur. Forming the plating took him a while. He had to make sure that the plating was durable, but not too heavy. The machine needed to be fast. After adding the plating, he added the teeth and motor system in it's mouth, assuring that it would function like a chainsaw when the robot bit down. He then installed the razor sharp claws on it's feet. After it was all finished and a few minor tweaks were added, the robot's eyes lit up suddenly, and it stood up. Raziel smiled slightly, the first smile he had done in a very long time. "My name is R.E.X." The robot pronounced simply, and the mechanist patted the bot slightly, rather proud of his first creation.

Raziel began reading through a book containing information on the mechanist skills. He read on how to craft add ons and decided to try to make one on his new robot. Walking over to it, he opened up a small plate on the side of it's head and began inserting new data into the core processor. Immediately, the beast would have an HUD that told it it's current condition, etc.

Raziel decided it was time to move on to his elemental techniques. looking at his dinosaur, he would feel the tug on his energy as the machine was pulled towards him. The dinosaur came closer until he stopped the flow of his energy

As soon as he learned the first technique, Raziel decided it was time to learn the next. He thrust his fist forward at a dummy, and watched as a ball of air shot from his hand and struck the dummy. The target would rock back and forth for a moment before coming to a complete halt.

As soon as air punched the next move was equally simple. similar to air suction, he pulled a tool from off the bench using the wind. the tool flew into his left hand, and his left hand held the cigarette up to his face as he took another drag.

The next air skill he had to learn was fairly simple as well. All he had to do was use a good amount of energy, and it would help deflect attacks. Not all types of attacks though, cerain attacks could still penetrate.

As soon as he finished learning that skill, Raziel felt a torrent of wind under his feet. The wind took him upward, the human going higher and higher. His coat fluttered about him as the spout stopped, and the raven haired man began to descend.

As he began to descend, Raziel got an idea. Removing his interesting looking jacket, the man would spread it out. He imbued energy into it. As this happened the young mechanist would begin to glide forward instead of plummeting straight to the ground.

As soon as Raziel landed, he would learn the last skill he wanted to out of his element. Looking at a target and exhaling as hard as he could, the target was battered by the wind. After a moment it fell over onto it's side. Raziel smiled, as he had finished with his training for right now. There was nothing left for him to learn at the moment that he needed.

As soon as Raziel finished, he would look at Ares. "What do I do now? Kirin never really told me what to do once i've finished training. Ya think he needs any help with all this crap?" Raziel would ask as his dinosaur walked over to him, it's tail wagging slightly as it stood near it's master. Raziel took another long and lazy drag from his cigarette, exhaling towards the cieling after he did so.

Ares had watched quietly as the man had performed his training taking in speical note on how he did and how had made his first machine before his own optics. Strange design all together, but it looked like it would be useful later on. Holstering his rifle on his back as the man asked if Kirin would need any help with the problem the machine raised his hand for a moment. Data would slowly begin to process through out the A.I.'s data core before finally speaking up to the man. "Emperor Kirin has a series of missions for you to perform and return he will grant you the rank of novice. First mission is D rank, you must link up with Squad 2A in the Cannon Hanger. There you will meet the squad leader there and follow his team to the front lines. Other Missions will be sent to your coms..." he said bluntly before starting to move past him and moved into a brisk run to gather the men.

Kirin Benoit

Raziel nodded before drawing both of his pistols, walking towards the cannon hangar to start his mission with his mechanical dinosaur walking behind him. He flicked the butt of his cigarette away as he did so.

Soren stood on the edge of the training zone observing those who were busying themselves with one activity or another. There didn't seem to be that much going on. Not that he expected to find anything interesting. The time had come for him to harness what he knew he had the potential to do. For years he had been lingering within the city doing little more than just getting by. His most recent bout of nightmares had instilled within him the desire to change that.

Quite frankly? Soren was fed up. He was tired of feeling helpless. He was tired of feeling as if at any moment his worst fears could creep up behind him and rip his head from his shoulders. In his time in the city he'd seen powerful figures come and go each one capable of stunning and not so stunning things. He was resolved to do something to carve out his own niche in the world...and maybe hunt down the beast that haunted him in his darkest dreams.

He passed his gaze over the training dummies where a sparse few would-be warriors seemed to be mastering their techniques.

"Or maybe they're just hacking away in hopes of making a dent?" Soren smirked at the thought. He wasn't opposed to swinging a sword it just wasn't for him. He'd been working a life of hard labor going from one menial task to another, he was ready for a change. So he approached the shelves lined with books detailing...well...books detailing whatever it is they detailed. He looked at all of them without any clue as to where to begin.

"Your old master said you had "untapped energy", whatever that means. Maybe one of these books can explain it? Where to start though?"

Running a hand through his chestnut brown tresses he sighed heavily looking somewhat daunted.

"Well...lets just pick one and start reading." He was bound to get somewhere, wasn't he?

Reaching up he grabbed the first book that his fingers touched opening the cover he began reading.

It was ironic, but, the first place he decided to go to was the last place he wanted to be. Sometimes he wondered why his mind always wandered to this location, as if he had some real obligation to consistently check up on everyone. He supposed he was just worried. The morale of the nation was not so good anymore. After the Titan Turtle had landed over them and killed so many, all he could witness here, everything he saw, was depression. It wasn't just what you could see, either. There was a feeling of it. No one wanted to be here anymore. They were afraid of being trapped in this magical sphere of energy, in a city beneath the surface, with a Goddess constantly taunting them, an Emperor too ambitious, and no escape from either. Raphael understood how it must've felt. It was like how the people in Nocturne felt under Fenrir, cornered from all sides and unable to do anything.

And yet he felt they had no right to ask for anything better. They should feel humbled to serve the greatest of all nations, and be ruled by the greatest of all men. They expected to live like the nobles of Fraxen, always mighty and healthy, with no fear. They would be disappointed to realize that it wasn't perfect there either. All of the nobles were just hungry and spiteful vultures wanting to clean the leftovers of the King. Aramil was about as honest as it got.

"Raphael," The lady appeared in front of him, humbly bowing. "Your mother answered my visit. She said she'll stay until you see her, and believes that you will with time."

However, she was quickly met with a hard slap to the face. Raphael's eyes glared down at her, and he corrected her actions. "Don't talk. I already told you that you can't speak in front of me anymore. Write a damn letter if you want to relay your findings." To that, she nodded, and slowly walked away. He didn't watch her as she walked off, only grimaced and held himself in place. Then, shortly after, he entered Helicanth. There weren't many people in here -- he figured as much. A large portion of the city had been wiped away when the Turtle fell, and the ones who did survive either left or became frozen with grief and paused their work. The trainees weren't so enthusiastic to serve Aramil anymore. They never really were, though, ever since Jasper started declaring war on everyone.

Pft, Jasper. The thought of that man got Raphael enraged. All he did was ******** up a perfectly good city, first by warring on Nocturne and Yuran, then by decimating it in a childlike fit. He first felt like he couldn't blame the other Incubus, since he was influenced by Envy, but then he remembered that he had a Sin too. He wasn't completely controlled by Pride, or really controlled at all. And yet Jasper would use Envy as an excuse. Raphael wasn't quite enough of a matador to take Jasper's bull. "Emperor!" A voice called out to him. It was Maria. "It's so good to see you here. One of the instructors has recently gone missing, and he was basically the last reliable one left. I've been forced to instruct them, and I know next to nothing about military. Can you please humble yourself with this task? I know it's beneath you, but we're awfully short on hands." She was the same person as ever, and somehow, her attitude worked on Raphael.

He always disarmed himself in her presence. "I started my life off teaching people how to fight, continued to do that throughout my life, and will never find it beneath me. So, sure, I'll do it." He nodded, and she smiled sweetly and hurried away. She had tasks in Villiath to perform, since Isis had been gone for so long as well. Raphael figured he should at least give all of the students some morale, seeing their Emperor come in to instruct them. He wasn't just a heartless b*****d trying to rule the world. He really did care for his people.

"Kneel," The demon said, his voice projecting across the large room. Many students began to gasp and bow, and some looked at him as if spiteful. The spiteful ones didn't remain so for long, however; he quickly corrected them by channeling a load of elation and pleasure into their bodies, and they knew it was from him. That was just his power. "I'll be instructing the newest of you in fighting. The ones who have already grasped theory and whatnot don't really need me. So, if any of you are lost or stuck, then speak up now or stay silent until tomorrow." He looked around, and the sight of them brought him some displeasure. They seemed like a ragtag bunch of people. Did the turtle only crush the ones with potential, he wondered . . . ?
PostPosted: Sun Dec 22, 2013 2:20 pm

Kneel.

That single, solitary command hit Soren in the gut like a solid punch. He found himself dropping to one knee bowing his head staring at the floor and he had no idea why. The few other students assembled in the room copied his movement though some seemed more hesitant than others. Soren chanced a glance up from the floor in the direction the commanding voice had come from. His blue eyes went a bit wide.

The emperor!?” Helicanth was suddenly the last place in Axiom that Soren wanted to be. He’d never had the privilege of meeting or even seeing the emperor in person. He’d seen pictures of him. He knew what he looked like but no mundane rendition truly did him any justice. He was tall. The man was taller than any other man Soren had seen before.

Then again, he’s not a man is he?” He’d heard the stories of what the glorious Raphael Vakarion and the immense power he commanded. To be in the same room with him it was both terrifying and awe inspiring. Soren swallowed hard. The room was charge with a tangible energy. He felt as if he could cut the tension with a knife.

I'll be instructing the newest of you in fighting. The ones who have already grasped theory and whatnot don't really need me. So, if any of you are lost or stuck, then speak up now or stay silent until tomorrow.

Aramil truly had fallen upon desperate times if the Emperor himself had been forced to step away from matters of leadership to train underlings. The room was silent. Soren found himself staring at the floor again. He felt as if every other would-be warrior in the room were doing the same. There was most certainly a deep abiding fear present in interacting with the sovereign. That being said something was grating on Soren’s nerves.

The room was silent.

Not a single person was moving. They were all barely even breathing. Soren would have closed his eyes in an attempt to block out the deafening silence but the whole reason he’d come here was to avoid the horrors he faced when his eyes were shut. But hadn’t he been shutting his eyes this whole time? Metaphorically speaking of course. He’d been running from what lay behind him instead of turning around to fight it like a true citizen of Aramil should. How many lay dead? How many were on the verge of death in the aftermath of the catastrophe that had struck them not so long ago?

Soren clenched his jaw. He took a deep breath mastering the confusing tide of emotions rolling through his body at the moment and stood up. He resisted the urge to clasp his hands behind him and toe the ground. He kept his gaze on the floor focusing on the patterns to be found there that he might muster up his courage.

“W-well, looks like I’m the only idiot in the bunch.” Soren swallowed hard. Sarcasm. He mentally chided himself. Now was not the time to show just how much of an a** he really was. He gave the monarch before him as courteous of a bow as he could manage. His movement were jerky and stiff revealing his obvious discomfort. It was not that he wasn’t feeling the waves of attracting, awe and pleasure that rolled off the emperor in droves it was that he was having difficulty coming to grips with those emotions. He felt them. Oh boy did he feel them. He was just absolutely terrified of giving into them.

Those were issues he would deal with later. For the time being he steeled himself determined to live in the here and now instead of lingering on his own personal drama. Taking a deep breath he looked his sovereign in the eyes.

“I-I would be honored to learn all you deem me worthy of, Your Majesty.”

He kept watch on everyone, and examined them with what ability he had to. He could see their desires as if they were energy before his eyes. Some of their desires were muddled, by fear or irritation, or by a feeling of insecurity; some felt as if they were nothing compared to their peers, and that they weren't presentable before the higher-ups, especially not Raphael. Some of them lusted for him, as many often did when he began to enter their minds. And the only reaction that he wanted, one of enthusiasm to actually learn, was only carried by one person. His eyes shifted to that one man, who he believed to be a human. He had brown hair, and light eyes. He was fairly tall, fairly muscular; the general look of most militia. However, he seemed more driven than most. He waited for him to rise, which he did. He listened in anticipation of his words, which he spoke. He said he wanted to be trained. All of that "Majesty" stuff was far less important than the will to learn.

The lights of the room glimmered, the moody shade of light his preference. His eyes, which were brown once upon a time, had been filled with a silvery red. And while the man was different than everyone else, he looked at them all in the same way another man would. He looked at them with disappointment, and vocalized this clearly to them. "All of you who did not speak will go to Training Area 11. There you will find the appropriate documents, books, stalls and dummies." He knew they weren't as prepared as they pretended. Collectively, they held a vast energy that nearly rivaled his own. But individually, he saw that they were all weak. They must've held weak wills, too, for they had no capability to improve their weak bodies.

But there was one, he noted. He was certain to speak to at least this one, who seemed to almost revere him, but did not let that distract him from self-betterment. That was exactly what he could ask for.

"You should stay here. The room won't be too crowded, and you'll just be locked in here with me. But don't worry. I won't speak too softly or act too strange, despite what you may have heard of me." The Incubus grinned, noting his reputation. Most people were mistrusting of his kind. Considering they had only really outed themselves once Raphael came into power, and before then most of them posed as humans, people felt they were naturally inclined to lie and deceive. While that was true, it was for protection. Using your body as leverage was taboo in many places. Luckily, his people could know that it wasn't so frowned upon here, in this city. "I'm interested in what exactly you'd like to learn. If you feel like disclosing that to me, then we can get started. But," He raised a hand. "Add your name to that compilation, please. I dislike not knowing the identities of people I'm acquainting myself with, especially when I'm offering them so much."

His grin remained plastered on, and he looked to the side to see one of the workers staring silently at him. Raphael motioned for him to shut the door, and shooed him away. "And state your race, too. If I'm unaware that you're actually a werewolf or something like that, and you start lunging at me, I'll just lop your head off. Let's be clear with each other."
