Leon Court Leon sat quietly in the room, glaring at the wall. He was angry, that much was clear. Nikolai had snuck off, lied to him, just to try to kill Kiyaka? Something didn't add up here. Either something bad happened between those two, or there was something missing. He sighed, crossing his arms over his broad chest and shaking his head. " This is what I get for coming back," he grunted, fury building up inside him.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." Leon Court, I presume?" Fredrich mused as he stepped inside to see the man staring at the wall. His own stoic, intimidating face was back on, and his dark blue eyes held no hint of kindness or care in them. " Some advice, don't have a murderous look in your eyes when you've confessed to nearly murdering someone." he said before sitting down across the table. The scene was as cliche as it could get. There was only one light in the room, and it hung by a thick wire, the walls were a dull gray, and a wooden table rested between the two with only a coffee mug and a file over Leon on it. " Or is this look on purpose so you can continue with this facade?" the detective continued, leaning forward and crossing his arms on the table. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

Leon Court " It's not a facade," he insisted gruffly. " I tried to kill Kiyaka, me. No one else. Jesus, can any of you people hear?" He rolled his eyes and sat up straight, his arms still tightly crossed and shoulders tensed. " Aren't you supposed to be packing me up and sending me to a jail right now? I mean, I confessed. I did it."

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." We don't arrest innocent people." Fredrich retorted. " The justice system may be corrupt, but we don't arrest the wrong person when it's obvious. A confession doesn't mean you're the one. Nor do fingerprints messily put everywhere." The detective narrowed his eyes at Leon, staring him down, taking in every detail. " ... You look tense. Now why would someone that insists that they're the criminal seem so tense and uncomfortable? Are you hiding something from me, Mr. Court?" he more demanded than asked, his dark eyes shining in the shadows of the room. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

Leon Court Leon slammed his palms onto the table, cheeks red with anger. " Listen up, you smug little brat, I did it. Me, no one else, just me. Now, you may not believe me, but it's the truth." He stood, crossing arms again and walking over to the corner. " Look, I know you can't keep me here if you can't charge me with something, and you've got me, covered in blood, fingerprints on the weapon and all over the scene, and a confession. What more could you want?"

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich wasn't fazed by Leon's outburst, he didn't even blink. He simply lifted his hands to lace the gloved fingers in front of his mouth and replied slowly with, " I would like the real killer. Or should I say, Nikolai Byko?" He opened the file to a page about Leon and Nikolai, there was even a picture of the Sin, and it was moved to Leon's side of the table. " It's true that Kiyaka was saying your name when we arrived, but when Mr. Byko came shortly after her eyes filled with an unmistakable fear. It wasn't the fear of seeing someone harmed, it was the fear of being harmed." His glasses shined. " The fear of seeing her killer." Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

Leon Court " Nikolai had nothing to do with this," he insisted, refusing to let his eyes look at the picture. " This was all me. I was tired of her constantly hassling me about this and that, always taking Nikolai's attention from me and focusing it on her selfish problems. So I got rid of her." He turned back, glaring at the detective. " Or, at least, I tried. I attacked her, and the public is going to be pissed when they find out that I'm not in handcuffs yet."

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.The Austrian didn't look convinced. He continued to glare at Leon before flickering his gaze to the files, he moved a gloved hand to turn it to face himself. " Frankly, Mr. Court, you've disappointed me." he noted while flipping through the pages. " I expected a psychology teacher to be able to act like a killer, but I suppose we can't help but get nervous on something so big." His piercing gaze shot back to Leon. " Shoulders tense, unnecessary perspiration, and avoided eye contact. More specifically, an avoidance of eye contact with this one." He slid the picture of Nikolai out and held it up. " How stubborn do you plan on being, Mr. Court. I've seen and interrogated enough murderers in my day to know that you couldn't even touch a knife with malicious intent. Admit that you're covering for Mr. Byko!" He raised his voice and slammed a fist down on the table. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

Leon Court Leon winced at the loud slam of the man's fist, tightly clenching his fists and closing his eyes. " There's nothing to admit!" he cried, shaking his head. " If you don't arrest me, Detective, I'll do something drastic. Something that'll put what I did to Kiyaka to shame."

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." Come on then! What's holding you back? Let me see what a killer looks like before he attacks!" Fredrich challenged, his voice patronizing. " I've got all day! Each second we spend here is one Nikolai uses to get closer to his next victim. He'll have killed another person by the time you've gotten yourself together, then where will your excuse be?" Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

Leon Court That was the last straw. With a burst of energy and an angry scream, Leon finally let loose the angry power within him, using up all his creative energy to summon a long, thin dagger, rose and white gold decorating the handle and tracing a rose detail down to the sharp silver. He jumped onto the table, holding the razor edge to Fredrich's neck, angry violet eyes struggling to force himself to press harder. He tried to, but something held him back. " We're already in a police station, so what have I got to lose?" Pushing away the last ounce of self-doubt, and realizing that if he tried to kill this man, he'd have so much to answer for, Leon pulled the dagger back and spun it in his hands to tightly grip the handle, then shoved it downwards to stab what he wanted to be Fredrich's stomach.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich's dark blue eyes shined when he heard the battle cry bellowed. He narrowed his eyes when he felt the cold metal against his neck, but he refused to show any emotion other than his icy somberness. Of course he wouldn't attack, he didn't have it in him. Fredrich opened his mouth to voice the observation when Leon moved. The detective's eyes widened a fraction, his instincts saved him. His right hand instantly moved up and caught the fist, the blade between parted fingers. It took strength to stop the momentum, and the blade's tip prodded the surface of Fredrich's stomach. " Well, well." the Austrian mused, some struggle on his face but that dark glare still strong. " Maybe you do have what it takes to kill someone." Suddenly, he pushed forward and shoved Leon onto the table. His grip on the other man's hand tightened and he moved it up until the blade was against Leon's neck. " Not to miss and messily stab them." Fredrich seethed. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

Leon Court He grunted as he suddenly found himself on his back, staring up into eyes that knew death. Yet Leon was unafraid, and he merely glared at the man. " She struggled," he managed to force out, eyes narrowing. " I'm no soldier, no assassin. I'm only a man, and men miss."
