"Oh, th' others aren't here?" She scanned their little group, tapping the cigar against her lips thoughtfully. Truth be told, she'd been so overwhelmed with everything here she hadn't had a chance to give it a second thought.
"Well, then. I'm sure they're all," she gestured with a hand, "still sleepin' away. Good t'see you, I don't think I got your name, son," she added.
She didn't seem too bothered to offer hers.

Smith had stayed behind the others to watch, but decided to try his hand at figuring out the device. He wasn't especially musically talented, but he figured it couldn't hurt. Smith tried covering the top hole on each instrument.

Stormy had been there this entire time, really. She was very, very good at being awfully quiet, especially with a room full of people. She too got a very odd vibe from this investigation, but had been content to see how it played out.
Grabbing a pair of glasses, she perused the items involved and hummed to herself. Musical instruments . . . notes.
The queen's face was missing. She ought to put it back.
She went up to the image and played F A C E out of curiosity.

Another thought came to him and with a shrug he joined the music makers and tried pressing the notes again when he could edge in

The lights turned off, revealing the portrait in all its warped splendour. There was a grating noise, the white of the portrait was glowing -
- And then split into a giant pair of fangs that devoured her whole.
After the lights turned on, and there was notably one less person in the room, the picture did seem more notably lustrous, maybe a little more colourful even.

Jude wasn't too certain about putting his fingers inside things and just stayed put for the most part, "Think it is possible that it was a mistake coming here, Maebe?"
They weren't really doing much and most other people already pretty much dove in trying all of the things before he could even ponder his next action.
"Mmm..."
Then Jude was in the dark for a moment and...Welp...
"Uhh..."

"Co to kurwa jest???" Regardless of how wary he wanted or didn't want to be around Mimsy right now, he was having some pretty vivid flashbacks to the last time she'd been chewed up by an inanimate object.
Smiling was silent, so Song didn't make a sound in his head.
