The right hook came in, but Nuke had other ideas as he attempt to spit in the face of Jarel!
A disgusting move from a disgusting man, but Fusion would do anything to win.

Jarel can't really avoid that spit, as he's not expecting it. He steps back, wiping the spit from his face and absolutely steaming

Nuke has to take a chance, he has to go for something big. With Jarel's face turned to the side wiping away the saliva across his face, Nuke rushes forward for a Spear!

and once again, the Dragon is sent to the mat with a spear. That spit served as a decent distraction, clearly

The crowd were on their feet, jeering loudly as Nuke took his cheap shot. But there was no cover from The Prodigy, no movement towards Jarel after that hard spear spiked his opponent in to the mat.
Nuke laid there, his hand moving across his head, inadvertently wiping blood across his forehead even further.

with both men down, the referee has to begin his ten count once again.
Jarel remains on his back, taking these seconds to rest as well

Nuke breathed in heavily. His neck, chest and arm were all either in pain, bleeding, or both. The crowd actually started a clap; a loud standing ovation, followed by a wave of cheers from across the entire arena. What a match these two had put on, a true classic for the ages.
The ref's count was building up and Nuke had to move, he had to get up, he just couldn't lose tonight. Clawing at the mat, he gripped his hand in to a fist and pressed it against the mat, pressing himself up with his good arm up on to his knees.

the ref's count is getting up, and Jarel too, refuses to lose this match. This is his night, his next Wrestlemania moment. He cannot and will not stay down. he rolls to the side until he reaches the ropes, once again forced to use them to pull himself up

By now the original ref was up and had made his way to the back, possibly with a concussion from the kick Nuke had given him earlier. Realising this, Nuke actually had a fresh slate here, as this ref didn't know what he had planned earlier.
It took a lot of effort to move but Fusion felt that his muscles were loosening up a bit more after that short rest, which was where the conditioning and stamina of the company's first-ever Grand Slam Champion came in to play.
Turning to Jarel, Fusion attempted to play him at his own game and run at him for a hard kick to the head.

Jarel is finally up, and turns towards Nuke as his long time foe attempts to kick his head off. But not today he won't.
Jarel ducks under the kick and quickly attempts to scoop Nuke up while he's off guard, looking for a tombstone piledriver in an attempt to put him away

The kick missed!
Nuke is scooped up quickly, spun around in the massive arms of Jarel, and ready to be planted in to the ground. But for Nuke, he still has that technical prowess, as he attempts to grip his legs around the head of Jarel and throw him across the ring with a Hurricanrana!

Jarel thought he had him, only to find himself launched across the ring and on his back again from a hurricarana. that jars him good but he slowly tries to make his way to his feet again

There was no giving up from either men as Nuke also started to get back to his feet. The blood had now covered a whole side of his head as he got back up, and he was now feeling really quite dizzy. He awaited Jarel to strike, readying himself.

This was it. This was his moment. Jarel went for an easy-to-see strike.
Nuke ducked, waiting for his adversary to turn around. He would then attempt to kick him in the gut and hit his Fusion Cutter in the center of the ring!
