 Kubinashi nodded and looked down. "well...it started out just fine...i was still really little, but i still remember everything. I was outside playing with some friends when we heard a scream. Turns out some humans were raiding our village..."he said, clenching his fists. "my friends were older than me and went to go help, and i just stood there watching...my mother tried to save me from the edge of a blade and died in front of me. I watched everyone die before my eyes. When i was the only one left...those bastards left me sitting in the middle of the village weeping. Said i would only rust their blades."he said, tears dripping onto his lap. "i chased after them...wanting revenge, only to recieve this"he told her, touching his scar. "they laughed at me...mocked my powerlessness...so i snapped and lost what control i still had...after that...i dont remember anything."he said sadly.

 annabeth was quiet and was looking off into the distance, she could picture the entire thing right before her eyes. It sounded almost what happened to her. i'm..i'm so sorry that happened to you she took a deep breath It sounds that what happened to my family... she whispered.

Kubinashi took Annabeths hand and squeezed it lightly. "what happened? Of you dont want to answer, you dont have to"he said, still shaking slightly.

It was quiet a long time ago, being immortal and all. My family lived in a small village in Italy. Back in those days, people had their suspicion about us. The village was made up mostly of vampires, but there were a few humans that decided to coexist with us. One night, a nearby village, much larger then ours decided it was the time to rid the place of us. They came in the dead of night, most of us were asleep. i was awoken to the smell of smoke and the sound of screaming. They were torching our village, killing anyone and anything that moved feeling anything around there was contaminated. My father told me to run and to hide. So i did. I didn't know where my sisters had gone, figuring they were hiding. I watched my father run towards a group a people. As he was attacking one, another came up behind him and set him on fire. i had no choice but to sit by and watch. After they had all gone i got up from my hiding place and looked around. I found my younger sister with a stake through her heart, and my mother, or what was left of my mother. I was filled with so much anger. the next day i walked into that bigger village, looking like a helpless child. I saw some of the same men i saw that night it all happened. They took me in thinking i was harmless. That very night, i killed their family, made them watch, then i killed them. Anyone who i saw the night my family died, i killed. a tear fell down her face I'm not proud of what i did...

Kubinashi squeezed her hand as he heard her. She had a similar past, but hers was worse. "revenge isnt always sweet like many think...the blood shed by rage scars the soul...im sorry for what happened Annabeth."he said sadly, pulling her into a hug.

I made them pay for what they did. They deserved it. every painful moment of it. she hissed through her teeth, the rage of so many years ago coming back

Kubinashi nodded as he heard her. "they did, i dont blame you"he said calmly. "a part of me wishes i remembered what i did, but another is glad i dont."he said, hugging her slightly tighter.

Annabeth wrapped her arms around her knees and pulled them to her chest. i still have nightmares of that night... that's why.. when im woken up... i freak out like i did when you woke me up. It's an instinct ever sense that night.. she began to cry and buried her head in her arms

Kubinashi looked down as Annabeth started crying. He slid closer and held her. "im sorry...if theres...any way i can help you lose those nightmares, just tell me."he said sadly. He wanted to help her, but didnt know how. "im always going to be here for you Annabeth, i promise"he said, trying to keep himself from breaking down as well.

promise.. promise to never leave me please. I can bare to lose anyone else. she clutched onto him as if he was going to disappear. She began sobbing into his chest. She hadn't cried ever since the accident, and now, she broke down and let it all out.

Kubinashi held Annabeth closer as he heard her. "i promise to stay by your side forever Annabeth...id propose to you now but...i dont have a ring to give you"he said softly, blushing. He didn't like seeing her cry and kissed the top of her head. He felt something odd about their surroundings, a dark presence was approaching.

Annabeth looked up at him when he spoke of proposing. w-what? she asked surprised. Annabeth's guard was down and couldn't sense the presence, it was due to her crying. She eventually began wiping the tears from her eyes still not realizing the presence. She did however notice a change in his mood. I-Im sorry i must look like a complete mess she said wiping her eyes again thinking that was the reason

Kubinashi blushed more as he heard her. "i-i said id...propose but...i dont have a ring..."he said shyly. Hearing her, he similed softly. "its understandable why youd cry Annabeth"he said softly. His ears then perked up and a soft growl escaped him as he caught the scent of his own family.

I do not need a ring she smiled and hugged him. As the growl escaped him annabeth sat straight up and looked at him What is it? she asked concerned. It would take awhile to build up her attentiveness again after she broke down this much.

"it seems...i let one escape when i lost control"he said softly, still growling. Kubinashi held Annabeth close, his eyes slitting as he glared in the direction of the scent. "the scents moving away now...should i chase him?"he asked, looking at Annabeth. He didn't want to leave her alone.
