For future alliances/interested parties in the Koronis Family and the family members itself, research into the Karin Cluster/Family might be good? It is a sub-family of the Koronis family. It consists of at least 90 main-belt asteroids, though what those are, I don't know.

That's definitely something people could look in to. =3
Verithe found a pdf that has some names in it, but I haven't gotten a chance to look it over yet.
Depending on how folks wanted to do it, I'd totally be okay with a bigger thing than just this little family. Alliances and family lines are awesome!

I stumbled on a few more asteroids apparently considered to be Koronis asteroids when trying to think up names for my Chibi senshi, was initially going to go for Aslög as it's neat sounding name until I found out it's a Koronis asteroid, then I found Oort which I like better xd The full list can be found on wiki here

wow, yeah, that's like, 12 more senshi names right there. xD That is a very big group!
I think I might propose this to the group here and you guys tell me what you think we should do with the names. I think the group we have right now is a solid group size, but I also know there were some people who wanted to join, but the group was full.
Do you guys want to add these names to the group OR should we encourage people to... maybe make another group out of them? It could be one family and two halves, or if anyone else came up with a brilliant idea as an alternative... I kinda want to know what you guys think!
If we came up with a really cool idea for it, we could even submit it to the GMs for approval and have a fun sort of eventy thing with it. xD I dunno.

Wow an extra 12 Senshi is an awful lot! I guess we can consider the others to be like...the outer Senshi of the Koronis family? Maybe not as inbuilt into the core of the family but still very much apart of it - giving people the opportunity to use the name but also distant themselves from the main group if they so desire. Unless they really want to be apart.
Or like you said have two family halfs....WHICH MEAN WE SHOULD HAVE TWIN GUARDIAN CATS! emotion_bigheart emotion_bigheart emotion_bigheart

I'd love to have an Inner/Outer Family dynamic XD Outers are welcome at our parties but they don't have to be as deeply tied in with the main family.

I like the idea of two halves. I'm unsure about calling either half the "main" half, though. We could just say they each do their own thing and leave it at that.
(Note on the asteroid Tachibana: that name specifically refers to a type of orange blossom, one of two trees symbolic of Japan's Hina Festival.)

I like the inner outer idea, i think we might be able to come up with a cool back story for such a thing. Or even if the are two halves of a whole. Idk lolz i like Matisha twin guardian cat idea too!

If we had thought of it sooner we might have been able to organize things better to reflect two halves of a family...
Depending on how people feel when we have enough characters to decide such a thing, maybe it could be the Koronis Court and each half is a 'clan' or family. I'm not sure what names would work to describe it. xD Branch or Leaf, Something plant related? Or maybe we stick with 'clan' or 'family', I dunno.
Maybe we call it the Koronis Collective and have Court 'A' and Court 'B', with whatever we decide to call that part of the family. Empire seems like a bit of a large term for them, but we wouldn't have to necessarily rule that out. I'd like to avoid calling it a 'federation' as that feels star-treky to me. xD But a sort of... Alliance group would allow us to even have not just the two families, but any other 'rogue' or non-grouped senshi planet that wanted to be part of it...

I do like the idea of calling them "branches," actually, though which would be on which branch is the hard part - perhaps the main twelve from the beginning are one, and the others are the other?

Branches seem too good of a connection to every ones sphere to not have it as part of the group name in some way and its almost...military too!! Or stems....roots even?? Anything planet/tree related.
So there is;
Federation
Republic
Kingdom (I would have to check that it is allowed with the GM's)
Clan
Family (Tree - hoho!)
Collective
Empire
Alliance (as mass effect fan I love this)
So it could be the Koronis Kingdom with sub groups called....I dunno "The Dendro Branch, The Silva Branch, The Arbor Branch, The Flos Branch" (first 3 = latin name for tree, last one is latin name for flower)
OMG we should have like total Avatar tress on the planets/asteroids of each member so they can like...talk to each other and stuff, and there be a main one on planet Koronis!!!
And dear lord if I could someone how swing getting two guardian cats like raffled or in some future auction I would poop my pants! But then we have the problem of "YOU WILL HAVE TO BE APART OF THIS GROUP!" But anyone without a kitty should totally quest...or two of you quest. QUEST I SAY!!! ]

I think I prefer Empire, Union or Alliance for the overarching Koronis group. They make more sense to me, if the planets are each going to have the possibility of having their own kingdoms, republics, etc.
Our cats should by Xylem and Phloem. razz
Either that or we could have guardian ravens (pending GM approval), since Sailor Mars's guardian ravens came from Coronis in manga canon. Unlikely, but it's an idea.

I'm def going to need to look into those other names we found and see if there are any good names to use for the branches. Otherwise, number names like Alpha, Beta, etc might work... Koronis Alpha, Koronis Beta, etc. I know we don't want to 'rank' them or anything, but it almost feels more natural to name them like that, because they keep the Koronis name as part of it.

Song has said that as she wants to quest for a couple of other things first, she's going to open up Claudia to other questers. She's going to keep her quest, but if the name is taken when she finally gets around to it, we'll find her another name. ^_^
