She could sense there was more to the story, but she wasn't all that interested. "Well hopefully you can find her." Was all she had to say.

Amarus was utterly focused with all her sugary overabundance of energy on this one task, on smashing everything. She did so love to smash! Smash, ruin, destroy-- you know, all those positive verbs indicating the destruction of everything anyone had ever loved. She glanced at Zel idly and thought: Could I still destroy you, if I had to?

The answer, she felt, was No; she shoved that thought to the back of her mind, unwilling to interpret what that meant. Was she too weak, now, to do what would have to be done in the hypothetical situation? Or was it that she finally... understood, what it meant to care for someone. To care, and not run.

She smashed at the targets, again, smiling to herself.

Her focus intensified, for a moment, as she struck out at the pouffs again. She couldn't help but keep looking over at Zel, though. "Wanna pick where we go, next?" she asked, smiling softly. The candy appeared to be wearing off, at least a little.

It was sad, but it was also relieving; she felt like she'd been stuck in the clutches of some hardcore happy drug for a while now, and it was kind of relaxing to start to return to normal. She was still fairly sugarhigh, though. After making her attempt at striking one of the pouffs again, she set her hammer down suddenly and wrapped her arms around Zel, at the first opportunity, silently pressing her cheek to his chest. She smiled wider, squeezed him for a moment, and silently returned to the game.

That was all she'd wanted.

Zel smashed at the targets, chuckling as he swatted with his mallet. He wasn't usually one for completely mindless fun - but this was entertaining enough in its own right.

Smirking, he kept casting glances at Amarus, glad she was enjoying herself. He liked the thought that their first date was going so well.

He hoped they'd have many more like it.

Zel chuckled and shook his head. "Eh, I'm actually quite happy with your direction - but I can try and think of a booth while I whack at these things."

He leaned into her hug and hugged her back, kissing the top of her head before returning his attention to the game.

It wasn't mindless to Amarus: every attack on the grid was war on the poufplushkind-- and she would be victorious! She would be, because it was in the name of Lotus Eaters everywhere! ... So sue her, not all of the sugar had left her system. Besides, she just loved smashing things. She had always loved smashing things.

She would continue to love it, probably honestly. At least she had no intentions of smashing Zel. And as far as first dates ever went, Amarus was having an awesome time.

Some voice in the back of her head kept whispering to her, telling her thank you, telling her it was the right thing to do. That distant part of her that belonged to another universe, the fragment she couldn't quite touch, felt as though it could rest inside her in peace: she was close to the one she loved, because Amarus was near him right now.

Basically, what a great Scarentines in general. "I don't care who picks, so long as we keep moving!" After all, nothing held her attention for long in this state.

She nearly dropped the hammer, this time, to look at him. Just because... he was sweet to her, and she couldn't ask for anything that nice. She fought back the wave of whatever feelings these were: You know what I'm like, you know what I can do, and you can still call me that? she wanted to say.

She shut her eyes, smiling softly, and picked the hammer back up. "I know just the place, then," she said.

With a frustrated cry, Mia smacked down over a poof with all her strength, nearing crushing the poor thing.
Panting, she dropped the rubber mallet and glared at the poofs, imagining them as little brown-haired demons.
How she despised that boil.

Laughing a bit, he smirked. "Then I say we just go where the wind takes us and see where we end up," He was honestly ready to just leave it up to chance at this point, and just let the next mallet mash decide where they were going to go.

"You know, the one love counseling booth thing looked interesting enough - we should check that out next," Zel finally said, mashing his mallet down again.

"Not that I think we need it but - heck, why not right?"
