Damien blushed feeling her soft lips. Was he dreaming? No she was kissing him. When they finished he looked at her shyly. His heart began to race as he leaned in and kissed her again a little deeper this time. Deciding to listen to his heart he decided to just see if she would become his. "S-Say...would you..ever since you've came here I've had a crush on you. Would you like to become a couple? Or uhh..maybe at least go out on a date?" he asked after pulling away from his kiss again. Why not? Nothing could hurt asking? She was very pretty after all, maybe settling down with her might not be so bad.

"The thing is the place I live in now was my old home before the attack." Maya looked down she did not like being scolded. She was not a little kid she was old enough to have some of her own. She came down from the tree. She turned her back on Efren.

The young woman looked around the town, watching as the survivors walked about her, not paying her any mind. Much like before the attack, everyone absorbed in their own lives now, rather than preparing for those around them. "Maybe if we had more observant people the virus wouldn't have hit so hard." she cursed mainly to herself. Tina held resentment because of the virus and losing her fiancée, she needed someone to blame, and ignorant people where the easiest of scapegoats. Sighing, the young woman shifted her bag to the other shoulder, her weight following along with it, she threw her chestnut brown hair over her shoulder as well, looking for someone who looked knowledgeable of the town. Finally, as her walk continued she noticed a man looking up in a tree, where she could faintly make out the woman who was just waking up "well there is something I haven't seen in quite a while." she smirked, the fact the young woman would sleep up in a tree given the past showed she was intelligent enough to not stay on the ground. "Spent many nights in one myself trying to hide from those damn monsters." she said yet again to herself. Tina found her person, so, the young woman brought up her courage and walked over to where the couple was at. Her voice, sweet yet bold emitting forth from her delicate pink lips. "Excuse me! I was hoping maybe you could show me in the direction of the clinic, after which I will leave you to your ways"

Efren looked at the woman. He didn't understand why she put herself through some much pain. "It's a bad idea to stay in a place like that. You should sell it and get a new home." He scolded her. The hunter turned to the girl who came up to them. "You're looking for the doctor? I think Dominick will be pleased to see a live one. He lives up the road and to the left. You can't miss it because it has a resting bench outside of it." Stephanie was surprised that he didn't run away, but that only proved to her that he did like her. When he kissed back the woman was surprised. She didn't think he would do it, but he did. When spoke his mind she smiled. "I've kind of liked you as well. I just didn't have the courage till today to ask you to do something. I would like to be couple with you, you can even be the father of my children." She answered as she walked over to the door and reverse the sign so it said closed to anyone who came up to the door.

As the extremely attractive; so not her type dark haired young man pointed in the direction of the doctor’s house. She politely bowed her head before making her part. "Thank you. " she replied with a flashy smile before departing in the direction in which the dark haired man had pointed.
She followed the directions he had given her, traveling up the road, quick to take in the local land marks, and the activities such as the few children that where around playing. It was such a relief to see such happiness begin to transpire before her very eyes, considering the dark, yet recent past.
The Nurse was quick to find the house, seeing the cute little bench that was indeed sitting out front. The girl was very careful not to walk on the lawn, following the path up to the doctor’s door. Quiet, yet very stern she knocked on the door, trying her best to remember the name as she waited for an answer.

A red headed older man opened up the door. He was a bit aged, but not too old. The man smiled at the woman and stepped to the side to let her in thinking her to be someone who needed a little help. "Welcome please come in. How may I help you?" He asked. He had a doctor's tone to him and it was clear that he cared for the people who stepped through the door.

"I cause myself this much pain because I am afraid. I watched my family die and I could do nothing about it. I know it sounds stupid at least maybe to you, but I swore on their graves that no matter how much I was in pain or where I was I would train and protect people at any cost. I also don't enough to get a new place." Maya looked down. She was trying to keep herself from crying.

Tina was startled by the door opening, stepping back a few steps. The young woman’s blue eyes grew in size only to quickly shrink back to their normal wide eye glance. She was still getting use to civilization yet again, it was almost impossible to believe so much time had passed since the last of the zombies where destroyed. The Nurse smiled as she politely curtseyed before the doctor, introducing herself to the man who was now waiting for her to come inside. While she gained her wits about her yet again, she brushed past the man in a quick introduction. “Why yes, I am Tina, Tina Small. “ the young woman exclaimed as she turned to face the doctor now being fully inside his house. “I was wondering if you would be needing a nurse in your clinic. “ At the same time she began to pull her old resumes from her bag, credentials from a creditable college, she having her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. It felt odd pulling out all the old documents she once use to pull out when things seemed so hard. How wrong she was so long ago, to think that not getting the job would be the worst thing that could happen. “I have with me all documentation explaining how I could best assist you, sir. “

Efren couldn't stand to women like her. She was impossible. "Don't act like you're the only one. Each and everyone of us in this town had to face the same reality. The only difference is you can't move on. You hold onto the petty little things." The man snapped. Dominick smiled at the woman as he took the paperwork. He then looked over it. He took strong detail on the things that interested him. "I am always in need of another nurse or doctor. Please come in. I'll get you some tea and you can ask any questions you want to know." The man offered as he again moved to the side for the girl to come in.

The 28 year old readjusted herself as she awaited the doctor to lead the way, it being impolite for her to just sit herself, she waited until a seat was offered to her, seeing that was the way her parents has raised the girl. The faint thought of her parents brought rage to the girl rather than sadness, anytime she thought about the attack, the virus outbreak, the deaths that took place, she was faced with rage, rather than sadness, as she oft did with many things. "Well, as you can tell I attended Phoenix University, I was about to attend Stanford school of Medicine before the outbreak, but I never got the shot.. I have also my acceptance letter in there too... I have many written letters of recommendation from professors and co-workers, some still living I hope... " suddenly the reality hit her.. Silly things like this really didn't matter anymore, did they? She felt the breath being knocked out of her by the small realization.. Quick to gain her compositor before the man she was hoping to hire her would notice and deem her unfit for practice. (This was a common thing back in California.) "How is the Health in this town, doctor... " she than realized he hadn't given her his name yet.. "I mean, sick, injured, broken limbs, problems with Post Traumatic Stress, Pregnancy??" She felt a breath of relief come through, all hard work would pay off afterwards..

"That is where you are wrong. I have tried to move on that is why I train everyday to keep my mind off of what happend to them. I fear showing emotion until I met you. I keep coming here because I am trying to move on." Maya started to walk away because she knew that Efren was not going to give a care he was clearly showing that at the moment. She was going to head to where she trained everyday or at least that was her intension.

Dominick looked over her stuff one more time before handing it back. "I can give you a little more training. I worked in the ER before the outbreak." He told the woman. It seemed that she really wanted to continue her education in some ways. "Most of the injuries here are farm injuries, but things like post traumatic stress are common. Mostly among those who only just came to the town. As for pregnancy, that is on the rise. A new ruling has past that all young woman of childbearing age must bare children to repopulate the world." The man responded to her questions.

Efren huffed. If she was really over it then she would be showing it. The man turned around and was going to head the opposite way to walk away when both him and Maya were stopped by an official. "Excuse me." The man said. "Young lady who is your husband?" The old man asked. He was going to ask who was the father of her children. They were trying to repopulate after all.

Maya looked down. She really did not know what to say. She did not have one and at the moment had no intention of get married. "I.....I......I don't have one." She continued to look down when she answered the question. She worried about what they would do to her.

Her eyes lit up as he told her the news, to continue her education under a doctor! That was terrific! The Nurse gig was only to help pay for her doctorates degree at Stanford. Then, the girl heard something that puzzled her, actually disturbed her a bit. “Wait, doctor, are you telling me that women are being forced to get pregnant in this town? I am all for repopulation, but sir… “ her hands where resting on her hips. “Let’s face it, child baring age can be as young as 12-13 years old. You mean to tell me that little girls are being raped of their free-will and forced to bare children?” She sighed, this wasn’t her place to chime in, if it was what they felt they had to do save the human race, shouldn’t she be all for it? “Forgive me sir… “ she said quickly, that was one of her flaws, being blunt and telling things how she felt. She would be lying if she didn’t say otherwise. She wasn’t use to being around populations again, not civil population, she remembered the last group of people she was with, the group of inbred red-necks that thought they would force themselves upon her to help re-populate the planet. “So farm injuries… Well that sounds manageable.. “ her eyes met with the doctors for a split second.. She did have one more question.. “How soon after persons make home here, are they expected to bear a child? And is their… partner chosen for them?”
