Aezeloth smiled warmly at Judgement as she spoke and made a slight hiss. "Gah, I should not have left your side, my apologies Judgement, I shall not do that again."Taking the coin from her he shook his head but pocketed it anyway. "A Fine gift Judgement - perhaps I shall find something of equal import to give you in return, should we travel again."When she gave him the hug, Justice found himself lean into her slightly, his own arm pulling her to him to hug her back. But the moment passed quickly, and he said nothing of it. "Aye, but you tried and that is all that matters," Justice said as he placed a hand gently on her shoulder with a grin. "Though I won't lie and say I do not worry as well. Though I must say, I do very much like your idea - perhaps it will raise our morale."Not only that - but it was just fun.

Jericho liked the sound of that. "Oooh. So many possibilities with that sort of thing!" he laughed. It was a pretty nice thought. Maybe it could be something they could bet on. He wouldn't mind another thing to gamble at around here, even if it'd be for a short time. "I definitely like the sound of endless treasures. You could never have too many riches. That's what I think," Jericho said. Though, he soon took a pause, and looked more directly at the Hierophant. "So. What do you think will be the next plan for us? Perhaps this... Voice will come and give out the next set of tasks? Or will it become all out war?"

Nevena was already imagining grand battles in pits, former allies fighting against one another to the death. She could make a wonderful spectacle off of it--why, perhaps her poisons could be supplied for special 'sudden death' matches! One little nick, and game over.
She was humming to herself, pleased beyond words, before the question drew her out of her simple-minded fantasy.
"I believe that may be the next course of action, yes. The Voice seems to orchestrate how and when we move, and the Kings are left to obey--or face the consequences." This wasn't to say that their King was a mere puppet, oh no, but Nevena had heard the Voice for herself. There was no denying its sway.
"Perhaps another kingdom will fall. Perhaps there will be more for us to loot. Or perhaps we will soon see battle... I would not lie and say that I do not wish for the opportunity to to spill the blood of our enemies."
Her smile was anything but kind.

Jericho tapped his chin, nodding as he went over the various possibilities of what the next move would be once it was time. "Personally, I hope for battle. It's been too long since I've had a good brawl. Cracking the skulls of some foes would be really nice to do," he said. "I have to wonder just how much power the Voice has exactly... All we know is that it is simply that. A voice. What consequences does it bring? Surely it wasn't the one responsible for Silver's fall. Just what can it do aside from speak?" he asked while crossing his arms thoughtfully.

Tears started to drop when she recalled the happy memories she used to have in the Silver Kingdom. Series of incidents made her tired and toppling from inside, she needed a way to abreact. Tears dropped like drizzles, wetting her face and move down along her to chin, then it fell onto the ground and disappeared. Arynek was too sad to care about that, she was just hoping for something, something that nearly impossible to happen. All she wanted was to get back their home, the lovely Silver. Then she heard a bright voice. Arynek didn't turn around at once, she took some times to tidy herself up, wiping away all the tears oh her face. It was a Shadow, she believed who was Black's denizen. " H-Hello? " She was in doubt. " I don't think we've met before, I am Arynek, once inhabitant of Silver......" She shook her head just a bit and her reply was kinda feeble. She didn't want to accept the fallen of their kingdom, the lost of her home. Arynek viewed the Shadow who called herself The Sun from head to her feet. She was wearing some shinny armor and Arynek couldn't see how she looked because of the mask. The Silver girl tilted her head, obsidian?OOC Character: Arynek HP: 50 /50 Kingdom: Black (Wild Card) Appearance: Adapting the Black kingdom, Arynek is now a grey figure that you can tell is a girl with long hair. Zee Oddwyn Arynek was a jewel-seller so she noticed on jewels quickly. Also, she has a habit of tiliting her head when she was spacing out of her thinking.

Amarus shrugged, "We'll always find our way back anyway. Connected, right?" she joked, rattling the side of her Meteor hammer chain against Zel's own chain. She smiled without replying as he mentioned that perhaps he'd find something later. She didn't care much for trinkets, but she figured since he hadn't been able to come along with her to the cavern she would at least give him that. As if he was there with her the whole time.
"Bet I can beat you again," she suddenly suggested, grinning; without a second thought, she grabbed hold of her discarded breastplate and jumped on it, riding her way down to the end of the stairs, tucked low for balance as well as aerodynamics. Her shadowy hair, highlighted in her purple-pink colour, whipped behind her and she laughed madly the whole way down, whooping once as she reached the open doors...
and shot straight out them, clearing several feet? Until she landed in a big area that was essentially some kind of... perpetually shifting stair racing coliseum. As soon as she had slowed enough to look around, she said: "Well... this wasn't here before, was it?" Not that it was surprising, with their shifting landscape. And a smile spread across her face.
She waited for Zel, looking around in mild awe, and contentment. This was her home. Even if she was a Shadow, filled with void, named only after the Tarot she represented, Judgement loved her home.

"Well met, Arynek!" Sun responded, easily and sincerely. She noted the time Ary had taken to present herself, and chose not to comment on it. When she'd spoken, the reason for her distress became clear. "You were lucky to escape, I think." she ventured, placing a reassuring hand on Ary's shoulder. She would not speak a lie that she was sorry the Silver Kingdom was gone. Her King's wishes came first. But as for the people of the Silver Kingdom? She had no quarrel with them now, and it seemed that Ary was already adapting to the shadows, judging from her appearance. Wait, why was she staring at Sun? The Sun mimicked the head tilt unknowingly, following Ary's line of sight. Sun's armor? The Sun pulled her hand back, and unfastened one of her arm guards. She handed the wonderfully wrought bit of armor to Arynek. "Ever seen the like of the Shadow armor before?" she asked, smiling with interest. Her head is mostly covered in a hood, save for the face, which is half-covered by a mask with the sun carved into its surface like a singular eye. The mouth beneath the mask is rarely seen without a smile.

Aezeloth grinned and nodded his head. "Of course, we are Team Retribution after all!" Watching her grab her breastplate he smirked and watched as she went down the stairs. He looked around for his shield and found it, dropping it down and hopping atop it, kicking off right behind her. "We shall see about that!" He called after her as he zipped down the stairs after her, skidding along behind her and out the door, into the arena. As the shield skipped to a stop, he hopped off and looked around. "No, I do not think it was," He said with a grin. "But I have to say - I like it."

The silver shadow-casters merited only a laugh from the king at their audacity to demand anything of him. When all of them had finally left, so too had the king. But only briefly. By the time even the earliest had made it back, he was there again, spreading his cards and reading the fate in store for him. It was no different than it had been since the day this began. Every time, without fail, a single card repeated itself throughout. The Tower. The king's dark look deepened. " Champions," he greeted the Shadows that returned. Any gathered miasma was plucked from their outstretched hands. In the Shadowlord's, flowers withered black and the light of the gems was swallowed up in corruption until both turned into nothing more than smoke. More miasma to fuel their kingdom. Never had they needed it more. " A legacy? A staff?" the Shadowlord asked, both of the Devil and anyone else in earshot - including a Wandering Shadow of the silver kingdom. " What did you find in the tower? Start from the beginning."

" N-Nice to meet you." Arynek nodded slowly but still eyed on the Sun, like a watchful cat. Her nerves had been a bit too tense after all of that. " I think so, but others......" A weak smile was given. Arynek's eyes moved with the bit of armor as Sun moved it and handed the armor to her, as if she was targeting a knit ball. She received the armor and started to stare at it, closely and narrowly. The obsidian on it was so beautiful, she seemed to see herself from its smooth surface and it was shinning like a star. Her negativity was a bit lessened, by the beauty of the gem. " Thank you so much." That was the first warm smile she was giving. Just as before, Amarus prepared to compete... but this time, in the glorious coliseum. "Kind of feels like a real proving ground now, doesn't it?" she suggested, with a grin. "All the better! I'll show you what I'm worth and become the ultimate stair master!"
Had she known of the exercise machine in worlds far away she would likely never have suggested the similarity.
She jogged to the top of one of the looping, coaster-style spirals of stairs, with a jump at the end, and took a running start. "If only our King were here to play!" She joked, as she took off down the spiral.
She started off fast, but noticing how tight the turns were, she slowed right down: as a result, her technique was unmatched, and she even managed to do a handstand right near the end, laughing madly as she sailed into the air, tucking back onto the breastplate so she could land it properly.
"Beat that!" She challenged Zel, "Team Retribution will never die!" she added, still grinning madly.
If things could continue on like this, without... the necessary end, without that feeling in the pit of her being realized, Amarus would be happy forever.

Uru looked to the king as he spoke. He certainly had a presence about him, one that was intimidating and demanded respect. That was of a king's nature, right? Nodding, he spoke. "The Silver Tower fell once before, that was what brought many Silvers to your kingdom. But the Voice called us back there again, among other places. I am uncertain of what happened to those of the maze and the valley, but the Silver Tower investigation is what holds merit at the moment." He spoke with some sort of urgency, concern. "I did not make it too far into the place I once called home, perhaps your other shadows could fill in that gap. It was what happened when it collapsed again that matters." Uru paused to collect his memories. "There was a lake beneath the tower, within a cave. It had treasures of finest golds and gems, as to be expected from a trader center. But there was also a chalice there that spoke to all of us. It said its role was 'Legacy'. It told us of seven relics belonging to the seven kingdoms. Seven relics once belonging - embodying - the Great King. It claims that you have the staff that is of the purest darkness." The Silver stopped and considered a moment, collecting his thoughts again. "The other kingdoms know of these relics now, just as we do. They may try to get their hands on the other six that they do not have. It would give reason for the other kingdoms to attack one another. Since the voice said the Black Kingdom had the staff, then it is a valid target."

It was that sound again, the one she had heard earlier when she was bringing Uru into the Tower for the first time. The clanging. But for once, she was finally seeing what her fellow Shadows were doing. Sliding down the stairs on armor and shields.
Maple made to follow, only stopping when the ShadowLord returned and she bowed to him in respects. But she ran out the door, making to where they would have hopefully gone.
When she found Judgement, filled with laughter, Maple approached her with hesitation She wanted to join in, it looked like fun.. but would they let her... and would Amarus still be upset over the punch in the land of Silver. "Aa... J-judgment ... m-may I join you?"

Aezeloth smiled at Maple and bowed his head. "YES! JOIN US!" He said as he started to climb up the stairs himself. Laying the shield down, he hopped on, and kicked off and crouched down allowing the board to move.
His speed was good - but not near as fast as Judgement's, but he managed to almost match her in style - even managing to do a hand stand of his own, though he stumbled the landing a little when he was done.
"HAH! Almost!" Zel said as he stood up, brushing himself off. "But not quite."

Beneath her mask, Sun smiled with satisfaction at Arynek's close examination of the arm guard. It was encouraging to see such obvious interest. Arynek must have worked with armor while she lived in the Silver Kingdom, and if her absolute concentration was any indicator, she must have been quite talented at it. She returned the warm smile twofold, placing one hand on Ary's back, and sweeping the other toward the Black Tower. She'd heard some rather... interesting sounds coming from its direction, and while she wasn't going to abandon Arynek, she was definitely going to investigate. "You are welcome! You should come see the supply room in the Tower!" she invited. "There are many other fine examples there! Also. Stair Racing." The latter was said with the air of a fond memory, and Sun looked to see what Arynek made of the term.
