The Blues Impressed at last, and Nyasa almost pitied the boy that the loud Blue chose; just thinking of sharing thoughts with that baby brat was enough to give her a headache. Eyes drifting back across the Sands, she unexpectedly found herself staring into a pair of large blue-green eyes.
Nyasa's eyebrow attempted to climb into her hairline as she eyed the hatchling, having a stare-off.
< ... pretty sure I'm not actually a Candidate. But, I suppose it's useless to try and convince you otherwise, isn't it?>
< Yes.> Vesaldyth replied simply.
And that was that. Shaking her head faintly, Nyasa made her way out of the Stands and ushered her new, unexpected partner to the feeding tables. There she paused, observing the other Candidates. Having been a non-Candidate and Holdless to boot, Nyasa wasn't as familiar with what to do, so when she picked up a knife, she mimicked the motions of the nearest new Weyrling.

Eggs hatched, hatchlings Impressed. All of it without bloodshed. Then the mother's riders cracked the eggs that did not hatch on their own. All three paired off with their chosen rider. Wykla smiled and mentally reached for Kameth, remembering her own Impression to the large winged blue.
Then it was over. Suspicion cheeped in her ear and she shook her head. Time to get the candidates off the sands.
"Candidates! Candidates! This way please." The teen glanced at the hatchlings at the feeding tables, then escorted her charges off. "I know you didn't Impress this time, but that's alright. Your dragon may be in the clutch after this one, or perhaps the next. There is no telling, so do not give up hope. I will be available if you need to talk."

Atlini was one of Trine's holds. He was a native then. Not that it really made a difference to her. "Walk carefully is what I'd say. Blisters form to protect damaged tissue." Cai felt a light fluttering request in her mind and accented absently. Barely a breath later her little green flit had joined them, settling quietly on Cai's vacant knee and inspecting the hatchlings gathered around.
Miath's eyes whirled with pleasure. Oh she liked Rynsemth! ~Caimine, Rynsemth would thank you for trying to help his.~ She passed on the message then tilted her head. ~ She would help more if it weren't for me I think. I am sorry yours is in pain Rynsemth~
"I should...what?" Cai's brows furrowed with confusion.

"Centering or ground the name sort of differs is a calming technique." He thought they would teach it to all healers, the medics in the guard knew it. This wasn't really the place to be teaching but it could help the healer. "Close your eyes and breath deep, hold it for three and then releasing your breath and counting for three. In vision something familiar, that you know how it smells, feels, the shape and when you can form it in your mind. It should help you calm, or get so frustrated you try to strangle someone." Wen chuckled, having seen both.
Cat shifted, the brown flit scaling up Wen's robes to look over the new green. He perched on Wen's shoulders and gave a questioning chirp to the new flit.
Rynsemth cooed.
