Natalia frowned. That was right. He would have to be in the water, all of them would. "I'll put a tent up so we can always be close by." There were problems with her plan of course, but it was something she wanted to do so she could always be close to everyone.

"I don't want you to do that. Your kids are going to need more warmth and comfort than a tent." Kai told her with some concern. "Yeah, this is the hard part of having a relationship like this," he said giving her a hug once they were out of the office. "but I guess this is my own fault for trying to have a life out of the ocean. Once we can all get out of the water we can get back together and have a proper family."

Natalia didn't like that. Not one bit. "Maybe I can do a spell that would allow all of us to have a fin and tails and gills." I don't want to be without you. It looked like she was near tears at the thought of being without the man that she had come to love.

"Well if you want to try, I'm not going to say no." Kai said with a smile. "Just so long as you're sure nothing bad is going to happen to you or the kids. Otherwise I'd love to take maternity leave and take you home."

Well there were some things that would be a down side. "The only problem will be race confusion. They wont understand that they are witches because they will look like mermaids." She told him. That was mostly as they get older over while they were still young.

"You can take them into town sometimes, make sure they know they're not primarily mermaids." Kai suggested. He was just now starting to realize how problematic this was all turning out to be. With a sigh he hugged her a little tighter, or at least as much as their respective bellies would allow. "I'm sorry, this is my fault. I didn't think things through at all when I decided to move to land, and now you've got to plan around my race's need for water."

Natalia held her boyfriend close. "I didn't think about it too. It's both of our faults." She told Kai. They were both stupid and didn't think about it. "Maybe we can find a house with a pool. It'll cost a lot, but at least we can be together." At this point it was clear that Natalia was thinking more with her heart than her head.

"That or a nice beach house." Kai said with a meek smile. "Maybe I can find a part time job or something to start saving up money. We've got something of a time limit after all before I'm stuck in the water for some time."

"Maybe I can ask my dad to put a down payment on the house." The girl commented. "It wasn't the first time she mentioned her father, but it was the first time she mentioned money with her father in the same sentence. She hadn't talked much about her family.

"Ah, the oft spoken of in whispers father..." Kai still hadn't really met her parents, but as her pregnant, merman boyfriend, he couldn't really blame her. "Well every little bit helps. Helping us stay together while I raise my kids would certainly make you happy. He can't deny that."

"I don't ever want to be split from you." She agreed with his comment with a smile. "I'll e-mail him later and tell him about getting a house with a pool." She told him. She wasn't going to worry about it at this moment.

"Alright. Sorry for coming with additional stress." Kai said with a small smile as he leaned in to give her a kiss on the cheek. "Buying a house is a tall order, so hopefully things go well. I still haven't actually met him, so you'll have to forgive me for being nervous for how that goes..." he said while cradling his belly.

Natalia smiled at her boyfriend. "Don't worry about the stress." She told him as she rested her head against his shoulder. "I just wont tell him. I'll say I want a place for me and my boyfriend, who is not the father of my child, to live in." She told him. She wasn't going to lie, but just not tell the whole truth.

"Yes, I can only imagine his reaction if you mentioned your boyfriend was pregnant. In my experience, that's not a normal thing here on land." Kai said with a sheepish chuckle. "Of course it's going to have to happen sooner or later."

Natalia giggled at his comment. "No it's not normal on land." She answered him with a smile. "But that's not the reason that I'm not going to tell him." She responded to him so he knew it had nothing to do with him being pregnant. "I just don't think he'd be happy if he found out that we're both expecting twins. Raising four kids at one time is hard enough let alone having them born at the same time."
