The ringleader turned when she heard Shun's voice, pink curls flying as her bright green eyes settled on him. She didn't know this boil but he had approached. Perhaps he could help.
"He's gone missing. I had a lengthy talk with him last night and sometime after he disappeared. I thought he might have just wandered off during the night to explore but when I got up this morning he was no where to be found. He didn't even taken care of the mini pets." And from the way she said it, that action alone meant something dire had happened.
Mitsu's brows furrowed a little more listening to the frantic woman. From the sounds of it he had run away but...somehow that seemed odd. He...ran away from the circus. Didn't scarelings usually run away to be part of the circus?
"Any idea where he might go?" Mitsu asked softly.
The woman shook her head. "I have no idea at all and it doesn't make any sense. I talked to him about training to take over for me and he seemed so excited about it. He had all sorts of ideas and ambitions...I don't know why he would have left."

Ah, so the boy had gone missing.
"When and where was he last seen? Surely one of the performers had spotted him." he asked.
Shun soon ran his hand through his hair though, thinking about this, wondering if they should be getting any deeper into this. It kind of wasn't any of their business. He had asked initially out of curiosity, but he didn't know if they should actually try to find the kid.
He glanced towards Mitsu to try and gauge her reaction to all of this. He was fine with leaving this to the ringleader and the other performers, but his lycan tended to be the more compassionate one out of the two of them.

The ringleader shook her head. "I asked everyone and I mean everyone that works at the circus and no one has seen him. The only one who seemed to have an idea of where he might have gone was Archer. He said he saw him heading toward town in the middle of the night. Usually doesn't mean anything sometimes he just picks up a few things and comes back...but this time he didn't."
"Archer?" Mitsu asked, since she had no idea who that was.
The woman nodded. "His brother." She looked like she was about to cry, tears already gathering in her eyes. "I think...I think something might have happened to him but these people," She hissed the word looking around glaring at the folks that barely turned in her direction. "..won't give me a time of day. Says he just ran away and that's all there is to it." So in turn she was getting no help from anyone here.
Mitsu brought up a hand and clutched at the fabric of her shirt, her heart aching for this poor woman. Shun was right to assume she would feel compassionate in this situation and if he really didn't want to help his time to leave had already passed. Instead Mitsu turned her eyes toward her reaper, large and sad and begging him to do something. Anything. He was likely to have two people crying on his hands if he wasn't careful.

"Oh. The a*****e of an acrobat," Shun said flatly, though quietly. Why would the brother be involved in such a thing though, he had to wonder? Shrugging that off, he looked towards Mitsu, catching that big eyed look of hers. Yes, she wanted to help. He could see that. Grimacing, he was silent for a little while, then let out a sigh.
"We'll see if we can find anything," he said towards the ringleader. He didn't really want to get involved, but he also didn't want his lycan to be crying over this.
Hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle.

The ringleader frowned and Mitsu was quick to nudge Shun in the side for his choice of words. The guy might have been a jerk but she was pretty sure this lady didn't appreciate hearing it.
"He doesn't always have the most pleasant attitude but yes, he's the acrobat." She huffed, her tears gone for now. Her expression softened though when the boil said he would help and she smiled faintly at the two. "I appreciate it. I'm not making much progress on my own. Maybe check back at the circus for me? I'm going to keep looking around here."
And with that the ringleader turned toward the town and continued her shouts. "TOM!"

Shun felt that nudge and he looked towards Mitsu with a shrug. What? If anything, it got the woman to stop crying. Nodding quietly to the ringleader, he shifted the bag on his shoulders, then looked in the direction where the circus was set up.
"Let's get started then," he murmured quietly, making his way towards the big tent.
"I guess we should start trying to question some of the others. I don't know how else we'll be able to find much regarding the kid."
They didn't have a whole lot to work with, and they didn't know Tom much at all.

For now Raven's Nest could wait though they weren't in any real hurry at least. Mitsu just wanted to help out the boil who had actually given them a clue when they had no idea where to go. It was only fair to pay him back or at least make sure he was alright. If they found out he had really ran away Mitsu wasn't sure what they would tell the ringleader but for now she just hoped they would find him and in one piece.
Nodding to Shun she followed him as they made their way back to the circus, the large tent coming into view not long after they started. "I don't really want to talk to Archer." Mitsu could do without seeing him again. She wasn't sure how Ziggy would react though the feline was currently asleep in her arms. Mitsu had let her out to stretch and get some fresh air along the walk while no one else was around but the feline wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep.
"What about the announcer at the front of the tent?" Mitsu asked. "Maybe we can ask him."

"I'd rather not speak with him either, but we may need to," Shun said, pausing for the moment as he scanned the area around for anyone they might be able to speak with. Though, for a moment, he eyed the sleeping cat warily. He still didn't trust Ziggy all too well.
"The announcer may know something," he agreed, before looking around to try and spy the stout man. It didn't take too long before he managed to spot him sitting outside the main tent.
Nudging Mitsu gently, he motioned towards him, then started to approach.
"We heard the boy named Tom had gone missing, do you know where he was last seen?" he asked, getting right to the point.

The announcer looked like he was busy writing across a clipboard when Shun and Mitsu approached. He looked up shortly, hopeful, when he heard Tom's name but realized he was only being asked about him shortly after. His expression turned a bit grim when he seemed to recognize the two in front of him, especially the cat, but for now he nodded and addressed them. "Aye, I haven't seen him since yesterday. The misses was talking to him, wanted him to take charge of our little family business. I never would have thought the prospect would have spooked him off."
He scratched his head looking worried. It seemed he had no more of an idea of where the boy could be than the ringleader.
"Are you sure Tom ran off?" Mitsu asked.
"It's the only thing I can imagine. No one here would ever think to hurt the boy or do anything against him. They all love him and respect him." He looked perplexed but his expression changed when a couple of large monsters pushed passed the flap of the tent with large crates in their arms. The first one looked like he was struggling with his load and the announcer was quick to tell him to be careful.

Shun thought about these responses for a moment or so, trying to piece things together, but they still didn't really have a whole lot to work with.
"Do you know why he might want to run off, though? Also what where his duties here at the circus?"
Since the kid didn't seem like an acrobat and all. But knowing what he did here exactly might help with a thing or two. Just maybe. The ringleader had mentioned something about taking care of the minis, but that might not be the only thing he did around here. It could very well be a sort of 'side job' in a way.

"No none, he always seemed to like it here." The announcer said with a frown. "Ever since he was little he aspired to be part of the show. We always thought he would be an acrobat like his brother but he just had a way with the minis so he became a trainer. The most wild of creatures seem to tame easily with him and he can get them to do anything. He had a lot of ideas on shows he wanted to do with minis and no one else but he lost some of that fire about a year ago. We thought we had just sparked it in him again, giving him an opportunity to go further...but perhaps we were wrong."
Mitsu frowned again trying to think but there really wasn't a lot to go on. No one had any real idea why he might have ran off. It seemed likely something could have happened but then again maybe the pressure seemed too much? The lycan was busy piecing things together that she almost got knocked over by another set of monsters coming out of the tent with large crates hefted up on their shoulders.
Startled Mitsu moved back and watched them pass, staring at the crates that were labeled for different destinations. "What are those?"
"The crates?" Mitsu nodded to the announcer so he continued. "Mostly we pick up a lot of supplies as we go. We have a sort of route we keep to all year long on a three year loop. We hit up one place and stock up what we can with food and things we need and move to the next and do the same but we have a lot of people that work for us and a lot of mouths to feed people and minis alike. We often have things shipped to us along our route that we can't always get especially up here in the norther region. We keep the crates they send the supplies in and exchange them in order to get a deal break."
Mitsu's eyes lit up at the new piece of information. It wasn't relevant to what they needed but learning new things always sparked something within the lycan.

Shun took in this information, tucking it away while he thought it over. If the kid seemed to like it here, then it didn't seem to make much sense for him to run off, even if some of his ambition did die away.
"Does he have any other known family? Aside from his brother here that is," he asked. If not, that would make even less sense. Though, he was soon distracted as Mitsu was almost taken out by some crate movers. Furrowing his brow, he looked towards them, watching for the moment.
"I see..." he murmured regarding the information with the crates. It wasn't really relevant to their investigation though, unfortunately.

"Well, Lad. This is a family circus." The announcer smiled at that doing his best to look proud even if he felt a little heartbroken. "Tom is my son. The lovely lady that runs the show is his mother, Juliet."
Mitsu turned her attention back toward the announcer. She stared at his short stout stature and then thought back to the ringleader who was full figured and tall. With the extra piece to the puzzle she imagined Archer and Tom who barely looked alike and nothing like either of their parents......were they adopted?
"I know what you're thinking Lass," The announcer said with a half smile. "They really are our children though we have many who we have adopted on our journey."
Mitsu seemed a little embarrassed she had been caught, her cheeks heating up but she at least nodded to the man before she turned to look at Shun. Even with all this information it really wasn't getting them any closer to figure out where Tom might have gone and it was obvious he hadn't shown up yet. They probably needed to move on and find someone else to question.
In the mean time Ziggy had started to stir in Mitsu's arms, eyes blinking and taking in the sight of the circus once again. Her eyes grew dark with excitement, tails swishing eagerly and it seemed to alert Mitsu that she needed to grasp the leash just a little bit tighter....just encase.

Ok. That was unexpected. That might explain why the ringleader didn't seem to appreciate Shun's a*****e comment too. Hm. Oh well. But as it stood, it made very little sense for why the child would run off in that case.
"I see. Thank you for the information," he said while thinking it over. All it really did was point out how weird it would be for the kid to run off. Maybe he was just hiding somewhere.
"Do you know where we could find... Archer?" he asked. As much as he didn't really want to deal with the guy, it might help out a little. Maybe.
"For that matter, is there anyone around here that didn't like the kid?"
The Reaper was unaware that Ziggy was starting to stir.

"He's probably inside working on his routine." The announcer turned his gaze back to Ziggy. "Probably would be best if he didn't see the cat."
Mitsu frowned but nodded and started to pull her bag around so that she could put Ziggy back inside. It loosened her grip just enough that Ziggy took that moment to leap free from her hold and dart off through the circus. Mitsu had tried to grab hold of the make-shift leash they had made but it slipped through her grasp.
"Ah, Ziggy!" Mitsu was starting to wonder if this was going to be a habit as she took off after the acrobat cat, trying to avoid the people that Ziggy was darting around or the small props she ran under. It was very evident Mitsu wasn't at her peek condition for running anymore. After a while she began to slow down and she could only watch as Ziggy trailed after the monsters with the crates. "Huff. Puff." She managed to get out between gasps of air.
