EvvieEvvie stood, going over to a small bookcase on the opposite wall. She checked the titles a moment before returning with one of them. The spine read "Myths and Legends of Rykros" before she opened it up to search for the right page. "Here we go," she finally said, passing the book over to Escher. After the Gods War, the God Rykros looked upon his still bickering children and decided for the good of everything they created and worked so hard on, that he would seal them away. It would be on a place of the world unconnected to anywhere else and hidden from all but the most powerful. And so, using the last remains of his strength, Rykros sealed his children into tall structures on a lonely island. Pillars of strength and entrapment rose from the ground to insure the children could never be awakened again. Powerful and dangerous beasts came into existence. As Rykros surveyed his work, his final power failed him, the one protecting him from the same fate as his children. A final pillar, smaller and broken, rose to contain him as well. And now, lost to all in the world of Rykros, rests a small island with four pillars and a broken one where the gods rest for all time.

Escher took the book and started to read. He had never heard of this but it made sense. After hearing stories of the other gods, he never really thought more about what happened to them. "Hmmm, sounds interesting. Any way we can get to this island?" He said turning back to Evvie.

EvvieEvvie shook her head. "No idea. We'd have to first be able to find it. And since that hasn't happened yet, it leaves us without that avenue. And considering how it sits in relation to the other stanzas, I have to think the one right before it is trying to tell us locations we could use instead of the island. Since it says 'should all else fail' after all."

"I personally think this is trying to tell us locations and a way to open the pathway. But what locations are there that connect to these?"

She had explored every shadow and sunlight of the city, with no sight of Marco. Only the building in whose entrance she now stood remained unsearched. But a quick scan showed her that only a few people wandered about the grand hall, and none of them were Marco.
Annoyance became to eat her.
She glared at the the bracelet around her wrist; its surface had remained silent throughout the day. Marco had;t bothered to even send a short message to check-in.
If he's wandered off after some woman, I'm going to strangle him, she fumed, If hes going to go wandering off, he should at least contact me.
Muttering about Marco and his womanizing ways, she stormed around the palace, hoping to see him lurking in some shadow with his hands up some hussy's shirt.
She peeked into open rooms, rattled the doors of locked ones, hiding her actions with her body to avoid suspicion. But the open rooms were empty, and the locked doors resisted her jiggling.
I'm going to smack with my staff when I find him, she seethed, as she peeked into another room. It seemed to be an office, and it was occupied. A beauty sat behind a desk, reading from a book. A ghost stood before her.
Flushing, Lana poked her head back into the main hall.'
Silly, as if Marco would he in any of these rooms. You're just encroaching of other's privacy her mind childed her
But the warning did not stop her from listening when the woman spoke, reciting what seemed to be a riddle. Lana loved riddles. In her mind, she began to puzzle over it.
