DAmien put his nose to the air and huffed, huffed like a good doggy. "Thats exactly what's odd Shun." he barked back, swiviling his ears around in confusion. "I'm not smelling anything right now."

It was not only disorientation, but it made no sense, there should be something in the air, but try as he could, there wasn't a way to detect it. "Its like the fog is robbing me of whatever i can pick up."whatever it was that was calling, the eerily familiar whispers of home
the green eared boil wasn't sure if it was really there or some illusion.

"If its anything like what happened on the islands, we are in a world of trouble."
foreboding, yes, highly likely, also yes. Jackdammit.

Between the sensations, the voices, and the formless figures, the black dog was left unnerved. He recognized this, a little too well, and in an attempt to block it out, he clamped his hands over his ears. But his attempt was futile. "So damn noisy!" It was the third time now. He had felt this once before on the island, where they had been stranded. Just that alone had sent off warning bells. But he had felt the same thing later again when they were at the four clans and each time he sensed something dangerous, powerful. This time was no exception.

"I don't like this..." He growled out, hackles raised as a chill ran up his spine. Whatever was approaching, it was close by.

The scenery suddenly blurred into white, and for a few frightening seconds, Poke was unable to move. The feeling was brief, but when it left she was faced with the all enveloping fog that brought with it the familiar whispers of home, and unfamiliar figures forming in the distance. She felt her being pulled towards them, before it was pummeled with the desperate longing for friendship and company. She nearly collapsed under the force of the emotion, but managed to keep her footing and her focus, long enough until the feelings subsided.

The dragon growled at the scenery, her fingers flexed with the desire to form into the sharp claws that would bolster her defense. But her bravado felt incomplete this time. The sense of emptiness was still there, and she looked around for anyone she knew. Ah, Xiu and Shun. M-maybe it was a good idea to team up.

"Xiu, Shun!" She called out to them, running towards the two with dread in her stomach. Something what coming. She didn't have a clue but by Jack something was coming that was going to kill everyone. She saw a third student there, sniffing around for clues, but she did not know who this student was. It didn't matter, because the more there was the better. She really..didn't want to be by herself at the moment.

"Jacking hell, can we go one week without being....grrrrr...attacked..." Her voice tapered off into a snarl as she turned about, trying to pinpoint when and were the threat would appear. She only stopped growling to ask Shun a quick question. "Is Mitsu safe?"

One moment he was picking up trash with a couple of barely known demons. The next, everything was going grey, white, muted. There was simply a void. It was confusing for a minute, was he there or was everything gone.

Home.

Home? Had he imagined the voice? The fog was changing, shifting, shapes emerging. All he could do was watch as the changes occurred. Beings emerged. Not moving, not doing anything but staring, fixated on one point before dissolving, only for another to be formed, another to fade.

Home.

He could feel the word down to his core. Desire washing over him as he began to see, to smell, to listen. Sights that to him were mostly unfamiliar, the forest, nature. He could only compare it to a time when he had felt wanted, accepted...before he had been untrustworthy. To the faintest stirrings he was feeling when he passed the Nurse's office. Acceptance. Wanted. Happiness...simple pleasures. But this, this was so much more intense, a feeling he had never even dared to dream of.

And then it was gone. But already the desire had been sparked. Already his mind was filled with the longing for this home, his true home. Where he would be happy. He wanted it. More than anything, a deep ache that clawed at him, all the way down to his core, hurting with the need of it. Without it he would be just a useless shell walking about. He wanted a home.

He knew the figures were waiting. He vaguely heard Miss Sin talking, though he could not really make out her voice to hear that she wanted them to leave. No, he just felt cold, quiet. Calm. He stood there, some of his always present defenses dropping away as he waited, unfocused, just staring like the pillars of figures at something in the distance.

He wanted to go home.

Zar had arrived to the disarray of the fright night remnants like he had discovered some sort of nirvana. Lately he'd been penned up in his room, slowly sinking more and more into the vice of routine, into the endless cycle of cleaning and schedule. It felt like control over his world, it had a satisfying buzz to it. But eventually even it began to lose its appeal. Nuru had been exiled from his room, a cause of too much chaos and muddy paw prints. He was a chaos factor, and it was inefficient to keep him around. But there was only so much one could do to clean up a tidy room, and after he had exiled almost every speck of dust from his sanctuary, stacked his papers to within a millimeter of one another and sealed up the windows lest a breeze disturb his precise work, he found there was nothing else to do. Even his bed, unslept in was perfect, a glorious testament to symmetry. He felt centered but restless, there needed to be more to organise, more to exert his control over, to master.

And so the fright night festival had been his sanctuary. He spent a good while tidying, having to pause now and then to exile all trace of dirt or dust from himself but making a good progress.

He didn't notice the lowering fog until it was all around him. He didn't consider it suspect, it reminded him of the hunter island and it pleasantly leeched the offensive colours out of the world around him. Yes, it would do nicely for now.

He got back keenly to his task at hand.

Astra suddenly found herself frozen to the spot, the area around her and Yuki becoming smothered in fog. Her gaze was fearful, not just for herself but for her boilfriend. Was this what had been frightening the ghost boil? Thankfully the sensation wore of quickly, and she rid herself of the sash in order to fly upwards, darting around Yuki to make sure he was safe.

"S-stay close!" She ordered in a shaky voice, already holding up a leaf to throw if needed. All around her she could see figures appearing, ones made of fog with eerily blue eyes which stared in one direction only. She wasn't sure what they were looking at...

She then fell to the ground, a sense of longing enveloping her senses. She wanted to be with her friends, wanted desperately to cling to Yuki and hold him and never let go. She wanted to see Riley as well, and Lizzy too.

The fairy had not been to the four clans, But she had experienced the effects of the fog many times before, so she was aware of what was happening. Once the feelings were gone however, she held herself, shaking with the desire to just hug Yuki. But she couldn't do it now, what if when she turned her back something came to strike at them. No, she was the senior student, she had to protect him!

"A-are you okay?" She said in a shaking voice, looking around slowly and afraid of what she may find hidden in the foggy mists.

"Then...I guess...there's nothing we can do right now but to wait for whatever is going happen?" The ghoul was grimacing as she said this, her tail lashing back and forth in anxiety as she surveyed their surroundings with an air of wariness. All the other students were clearly on the alert as well.

She jumped slightly upon hearing her name, only to relax when she realized it was just Poke. Xiu reached out to grasp the other ghoul's arm, pulling her into the makeshift little group that they had formed. If they were going to have to fight something, it seemed a lot better if they did so as a group rather than run off individually.

The question about Mitsu made Xiu's gaze flicker towards Shun, though she seemed confident in the belief that the reaper had chosen to leave the lycan somewhere safe.

...That being said, if there was something going down here, she was worried that something could be happening around the dorm area as well. After a moment of thought, she tugged on Shun's sleeve, indicating that she wanted him to stoop down a little to her level as she lowered her voice. "If something happens here, you should go and check on Mitsu."

Roch's reaction was instantaneous. He forgot about the booth and his name and moving to his ghoulfriend and best friend's sides, summoning his guitar and gently trying to push them towards the group of other students. He wasn't about to lose either of them--hunter or anything else, jackdammit.

"I think everyone should leave now," he said quietly to Demi, Xiu, and the others.

Danny was busy laughing at something stupid Amphi had said when the feeling came over her. Home.

Oh no, not this. She knew this feeling. It was so stark a feeling, so deeply rooted to her core that there was no way to mistake it. Her voice left her; a normally talkative ghoul struck silent.

Home.

"Yeah I think we better get out of here," she mumbled.

Hearing someone shouting his name, Shun turned to see Poke rushing over towards them.

"She's safe at home," he replied quietly, then turned back towards the Hellhound.

"That may be a bit of an understatement," the Reaper replied lowly.

Though, he soon paused at Xiu's words, then nodded slowly to her as he listened carefully to what she had to say.

"I may not be able to reach the dorms without being cut off if something happens at this point. And while I can hold my own, I think it would be best to not be by myself if something goes down. I don't think Mitsu would forgive me if I let something happen to me."

Everything was wrong. More than wrong. Thackery's trembling hands could barely hold the phone he stared down at, thumb hovering over the keys, tapping, deleting, tapping again.

He was so stupid. This was worse than losing all the golden apples in the world. He scarcely blinked, eyes wet with anxious tears, still ignoring everyone around him. He knew something was wrong. He knew it was going to be really, really bad.

And it was infuriating that the only thing he didn't know was a string of skellyphone numbers that he'd deleted because he couldn't stand the feeling of abandonment.

Chryses had avoided the Fright Night Festival itself, but the cleanup, while likely crowded, felt like something he simply had to be there for. He had been working quietly and diligently to neaten up, all the while wearing a world-class disgusted expression because this was well and truly gross.

And then the fog rolled in. He straightened and looked around, eyes narrowed.

Home.

No, home was somewhere he much wanted to avoid, thank you.

The strange figures had him near panic. What the actual Jack was going on. This was possibly the strangest thing that had happened to him, and he was counting the experience in the caves.

And then there was the longing, and he knew at once that the home he wished for was not his house, but Amityville, which felt more like a home than...home ever had. When it was gone, all the demon wanted was to have it back, to keep it close like one of the shining treasures he so blithely hoarded.

The voices were still there, and that horrible emptiness too.

What...was this?

The feeling was so familiar, and so unexpected, that it immediately sent shivers up Rikki's spine. Physically, he panicked as the feeling swept over his skin, into every contour of his body and locked down on all his senses. Gone was sight, sound, smell. His lungs tried to convulse, wanting to gasp for air that was there but wasn't all at once, but there felt like to room for his ribs to expand and let him pull in precious oxygen.

The voice startled him, though it was no more than a murmur in his ear. Vertigo made his stomach turn as he watched the nothingness before him swirl and solidify into something familiar and still terrifying. Things worked their way into existence, shrugging off the greyness like thick, sliding ooze as they fought to be something. They fell apart and barely formed and were monstrous in all the worst, unflattering ways. Just pieces of living things.

This time, he actually recognized the word that wormed its way into his mind. So many tones and separate notes to the word that it was like a million people uttering it at the same instance. Home. All at the very same second, home.

His chest ached. Acheacheached for so much and so little and something so complex and so simple. It longed for home, and wide white eyes. A face so like his, but older. Older, and wiser, and kinder. Less effected by the way things are now, and more reflective of how they used to be. It ached for arms that held him tight and spun him around, and fingers that skittered across his skin and forced gleeful squeals. It screamed for a face Rikki hadn't seen in ten years, sitting in a park under the stars as wind swept through the trees and created the quietest sounds to fill the night.

It pulled and ached and pained so very hard and then it was gone, leaving nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

Like it had happened all over again, for the very first time.

His shoulders shook until a strangled, wet sob was pulled from his throat.

He wanted to go home, but his home was so far gone.

Riyo looked genuinely hurt when the boil came out and said how bad she smelled. "W-well I can't help it either!" She shouted, huffing as she stripped off the jacket and turned it inside out. There. She didn't smell nearly as bad now.

Then it hit.

Everything went blank. Her feelings, her thoughts, even her sight. The jacket dropped carelessly at her side as she stared off into nothing. Never had anything been so still, so quiet in her lifetime.

Until that voice called out and broke the silence.

Home.

These figures. Visions. Muted greys. They were all somehow familiar. It was something she should've feared, yet the emotion completely escaped her right now. Home. They were so passionate in their desire. So full of longing. Yes, she was no stranger to longing. To the heart-wrenching hunger for comfort. This, however, was on a much larger scale. All the thoughts that filled her almost completely made her stomach ache when it was all taken away in an instant.

She stared off into the distance as the feeling drained from her body, a hand gingerly resting over her heart in the seconds after.

Someone was here.

They needed to go.

Where the longing had been, panic soon started rushing in like a tidal wave. It threatened to make her overflow. She was starting to hate the sound of her own name being called.

"D-deacon. Deacon!" She cried, grabbing his arm and shaking him. "We have to go. Somewhere. Anywhere but here."

Ren had not been paying much attention to what had been going on before, but now he lifted his head, ears flattening dangerously back against his hair, his entire body tensing as he stood stock still where he was. The fog around him lifted, swayed, twisted, and he felt an awful, horrible, familiar tingling sensation start from the top of spine and shiver down the length.

It was difficult to breathe. It was difficult to think. He knew what this feeling was all too well.

No.

No.

The feeling of being suffocated swirled around him, made his chest tight, made it feel as though the world was closing in around him. He could hear voices sifting through the fog, familiar ones that called to him, cajoled him, pulling at him, trying to drag him forward -

No.

The longing was there, a longing so powerful that Ren staggered, one foot moving forward, the other remaining still, anchoring him in place. He closed his eyes, lifted a hand, his fingers curling into a fist as he rubbed angrily at his brow, gritting his teeth.

Home.

And then it was gone, and he felt his chest ache, a hollow, empty feeling replacing the longing, and Ren swayed where he stood, uncertainty and frustration seeping into his thoughts.

Where is LW. Where is Jove. Where...

His mind felt thick and foggy. Ren stumbled a few steps, and found himself next to Tybalt, for once no sarcastic, teasing reply escaping his lips. Instead he leaned against the black dog, closing his eyes, inhaling sharply.

"I don't like this. It's like - "

It's like being back THERE.
