Miki started to get even more tired since she hadnt had anything to eat since that bite of the candy bar. "S-sorry, I forgot to warn you," she said frantically. She picked up a napkin and dried him off. "It's usually a hot drink. So you should be really careful with it. Here," she handed him the cup of water. "I sort of figured I would forget to tell you it was hot. This should help your tongue cool off. I should probably eat my parfait now before I pass out again."

Bastion  Bastion took the water and sipped it, his mouth started feeling a bit better. But the liquid didn't taste as good as the tea. He leaned his head back on Miki's shoulder and smiled, he was having fun, though there was a strange feeling in his chest when he got closer to the girl.
"Go on and eat, but after tell me. What are those feelings of affection? You said I was being affectionate without even knowing earlier, what did you mean?"

Miki scooped a bit of her parfait into her mouth. She was surprised again when she felt him back on her shoulder. She looked to him as he spoke. "Its a little difficult to explain the feelings of affection since most of us humans arent exactly sure, but i guess its when you really like someone. So much so that you care for them and want to protect them. You start to feel nervous, self conscious, and you chest tightens when you're with that person," she said then she took another spoonful. "When people are affectionate they do things like hug people, lean on someone's shoulder, and hold hands."

Bastion Bastion stared up at Miki then he smiled, maybe what the girl was explaining was what he was feeling in his chest. He then looked over at his hands and cupped his hands together, and then he looked back up at Miki and held arms up to her.
"So, I'm feeling and showing affection for you? Hmm... Is this how you do that holding hands thing? It seems nice..."

Cheshire just realized they ordered with out him, he made himself disappear and reappeared at the counter whee the waitress was. "Excuse me Ma'am, I would want a cup of your finest chai, a pastry with fruit, and that's all...." He said with a grin as he floats by her

Bastion Bastion smiled softly as Miki took his hand then he adjusted his head so that it was lying comfortably for her.
"It is much better, you're very warm and soft... I think I can grow to like it on this planet."
Bastion said as he watched Miki eat her parfait, then he looked on his head to see Cheshire was gone. Where had he gone?

Miki took a drink of her tea and saw Cheshire at the counter. "I'm sorry we ordered without you," she said to him. Miki blushed a bit at what Bastion said. She put her spoon down and rested her head lightly on his. "You are warm too."

Bastion Bastion jumped slightly when he felt Miki place her head on his. He was slightly confused for a moment, then he liked it. Though he wondered, was this a form of affection, his head was definitely not his shoulder. Did it count as a sign of affection?
"I wonder... what are other signs of 'Affection?"

Miki nodded."I guess you can also do things like this with friends and family but it has a different feeling. When you show affection toward friends and family you dont get that strange feeling in your chest, but it does seem to make people happy," she said.

Miki wished she knew exactly what he was feeling so she could explain it. Then she saw him rubbing his stomach. "Happiness is something you feel in your heart," she pointed to his chest. "If your feeling something in your stomach then your probably hungry," she said. Though she wasnt sure because he had said that he never needed to eat. "You should probably eat that second parfait I ordered," she handed him a spoon.
