Senga continued to shuffle through the vague vicinity that surrounded the strange booth, getting lost more than once and nearly getting distracted as well. But he was determined now. Senga loved challenges, even if they were of the most ridiculous sorts.
The Isle of War was rolling in its grave.
How had Senga dropped to a level so low?

Senga stomped past someone singing a song that sooner or later got stuck in his head, and forgot what he was doing for five minutes before remembering the candy hunt.

Senga was a terrible candy hunter.
This much was clear when he found himself back at the booth empty-handed after walking in circles for gods only knew how long.

Senga how are you so bad at this.
Very bad.
Senga rubbed the back of his bruised, bloody head, fluffing his wings and staring in contempt at the little booth that seemed somehow the most challenging of all. He was not going to lose. Or maybe he was, who knew.

Senga could hunt all manner of things.
But the cosmic screenwriter from somewhere up above was laughing at him because he was terrible at this. The young executioner grumbled as he circled around again, empty handed, tart in hood, like a lost puppy without a sense of smell. And then, like a miracle, it appeared.
Or rather, the tart in his hood suddenly rolled over and a sweet fell to the ground, dislodged from its place underneath the blue and white creature.
"You..."

Unfortunately, there were no more sweets hidden under the wonderland tart, and Senga returned to perusing the festival grounds for treats while the scent of coffee continuously tried to lure him away. Yes, he was most definitely one newly hatched coffee addict, and it was showing.
But with sweets on the mind, Senga ruffled his wings and set off again, only to find one waywardly located in a small basket full of promotional pins at one of the boothes he'd never visited before, completely out of place but overlooked by the rest of the crowd. Swiping it up, Senga puffed his cheeks out with satisfaction. Two down, three to go.

There was a catchy tune now stuck in his head, and Senga hummed along to it to keep his mind off of the infuriating disappearance of candy, and his inability to relocate it. He'd have to visit the Fright Music Booth again sometime.
Senga thought about Jay's strange stares and the prospect of other people around and thought better of that idea very quick.

Yep, the cosmic screenwriter was definitely playing a joke on him tonight. Senga dodged around a crowd of Halloweentown denizens and sighed. There was no way he was giving up but... where had all that candy gone!?

Apparently everywhere, because by the time Senga realized where he was, he was almost across the entire festival grounds, and it took him a very long time to walk back to the silly booth, and even longer to find it again.
Tricky little thing.
The tart in his hood rolled over again and stretched its paws. Senga fluffed his wings and sighed. At least he had company.

Said company sooner or later crawled out of the hood and onto his shoulder as he searched, and Senga offered it pilfered sweets from a nearby booth as the treasure hunt continued.
So maybe it was kind of growing on him. Just a little.
Senga sighed.
This new place was certainly changing him in all the stupidest ways. Now, where was that candy? The next place he checked was a closed booth, perusing its corners and the spaces in between, and even the left out bowls full of promotional things such as shirts and pins. There was nothing there though, and Senga gave up soon enough. At this rate, the hunt was going to take all night long.
But well.... maybe it would all be worth it in the end.
Senga snorted.
Since when had he become an optimist?

"Theres gotta be a sweet somewhere around here..."
Senga yelled when something flew out of nowhere and hit him upside the head. He should have been getting used to that; stuff around the festival had a knack for throwing things from the dark and disappearing before Senga had a chance to pay them back. Usually the items were tokens, or strange gifts that he didn't really need. This time though, it was a tiny sweet, half gnawed on. But it was a sweet.
The culprit was long gone by the time Senga went over to look at the place where it had flown from.

"Ah, coffee sounds so good right about now..."
Senga was so busy thinking about the glorious flavor of coffee that he walked right past a candy on the ground. It was only the second time around that he noticed it and yanked it away from the dirt, adding it to his meager pile and getting one step closer to finishing the hunt.
