Rose Byrne Rose smiled happily and giggled at Cutie. "He is just too adorable!" she exclaimed, petting it gently. She wondered what it was, and what the strange smell was, but she did not bother to ask, to caught up in the adorableness of the little creature.
Rose bit her lip some before deciding to ask if she could hold Gracelyn's pet. "May I hold ummm..... Is it a boy or a girl?" she asked, unable to tell. It was adorable, but she had no clue how to tell its gender.

Gracelyn carefully encouraged Cutie into Rose's hands. The small creature sniffing at the smaller girl before dashing up her arm to cuddle under her chin. Gracelyn offered a gentle, sweet smile, " I assume Cutie is a boy until told otherwise. He's very playful." Cutie chirped as if to agree.

Rose Byrne Rose giggled happily and snuggled him, holding him gently. "Oh he is just so soft and cuddly~!" she exclaimed, infatuated with the little creature right away. "I wish I had a little creature of my own..." she said wistfully, nuzzling the little creature.
Rose knew she would never accept Cutie, as he belonged to Gracelyn and had been a gift. She kissed his head and smiled. He was indeed the cutest thing she had ever seen.

If there was anything she would be selfish over... it was Cutie. Gracelyn smiled softly, " Maybe when we get to go shopping again, we can find you a pet. Or maybe you'll be rewarded with one by one of the clients." She nodded slightly, " Since we have the whole day... would you like to work on a duet?" Cutie chirped at the kiss and began to squirrel about with Rose's hair. Sniffing here and there and hopping from time to time. She didn't have treats on her but she smelled nice! Cutie purred.

Rose Byrne Rose smiled and giggled at Cutie's hyperness. "I hope so.... It would be nice to have a little creature of my own..." she said softly as he moved around her hair, hopping around. His little sniffing sounds were adorable, but his little purring sound was even more adorable.
Rose looked at Gracelyn, wondering what she meant by a duet. She asked her, leaning against a counter and watching her. She hadn't finished eating, but she was too distracted to eat currently.

" Singing or dancing together," she answered softly. Gracelyn close her eyes a moment, thinking. Cutie nuzzled Rose's jaw, running to the end of her arm and leaping to Gracelyn. Cutie glided to and landed on Gracelyn's shoulder. The small creature began to groom. She hummed softly, " You did wonderfully last night. I was very happy you did not have to undress. The guests were very kind last night." She looked out the window, " We could work on something together and maybe perform when we're confident. I... I don't want to seem pushy. You did so well- you didn't seem nervous at all."

Marius and Matt took the dirigible to town where Marius begun, as usual, by cashing in his checks from the night prior. Marius and Matt walked over to the bazaar of slaves for sale and, in an instant, Marius grabbed Matt and tossed him into a cage. He removed the explosive cuff from the magician and collected the fee from the slaver via the previous night's negotiations. Marius didn't even so much as look at the slave as he turned to leave.
Marius continued to browse the slave market and stopped when he came to a cage where there were two cuddling men, seemingly in their early 20's. He found interest in the two twins, as he had never owned twins before. He leaned up against the cage and gawked a little more, not caring the two were staring back at him with intent curiosity and slight fear. Marius nodded, and found the men's slaver. He bought them with no further negotiating, and escorted them immediately back home, explaining the rules of the house as they travelled.
[[Time-lapse.]]
When the dirigible left the home, Marius un-chained his newest purchases and brought them inside. It was at this point, past dinner time and he was very anxious to have the two perform for the first time that evening in a few short hours. Marius left the boys to their own means, after eagerly eyeing them up one more time.
"Welcome home, boys."
Marius walked into the living room and started a fire in the fireplace. He fixed himself a very full glass of merlot and stood by the panoramic windows, his hand on his hip, sipping happily.

The twins had been sold for a shockingly low price, the handler explaining they had been returned many times due to their nature. Both of them only smiled and looked up to their new master in awe. Both instantly entranced. He was stunning and beautiful and fuzzy. Very, very fuzzy. Jaegar and Jaegar had said barely a word the entire time. They only offered their master a unison Cheshire smile and nodded when it was best too. Looking about here and there, never once letting go of one another's hand. The one with the pink hair would give worried looks about, the blue cupping his chin and both staring longingly into one another's eyes. A silent comfort. They stood beside their master as he waved them in. Their delight was obvious. They bowed together, following him only so far, watching him with curious amber eyes. They watched him build a fire, they whispered to one another. "He's very lovely," Jaegar grinned. "He's very pretty," Jaeger agreed. "I like his ears." "I like his tail."
Jaegar swooned and Jaeger caught him. Jaeger pulled his brother close, gently cupping his chin- their eyes longingly staring into one another's eyes. "Do you think he'll keep us, Jaeger," he asked softly. "Only time will tell, Jaegar," he cooed.
Their lips bare centimeters from brushing. "Do you think he'll love us, Jaeger," he worried. "Doesn't matter, we will certainly love him, Jaeger," he chuckled warmly. The twins grinned broadly and ran up the stairs to find their room. They giggled and laughed and danced their way around the upstairs. The both paused at a room with a canopy bed... and no bathroom. "No bathroom?" "Nice room." "Smells like magic." "Good." The hours had been spent quietly. Rose seemed to have lost interest in Gracelyn during the long hours and gone off. Gracelyn has spent the day, wandering the home- cleaning and tidying here and there. There was little to do, it was mostly clean. Cutie chirped and glided about with her- on occasion using his little tail to dust something, but mostly just riding along. It was a quiet, she worried on what she should perform that evening. She wondered if she was allowed to perform outside of the cage. She began cooking supper near sunset. Cutie sat on the counter working over some crackers and peas, out of the way. Gracelyn sang 'Ring o Ring of Roses' as she prepared a simple beef stroganoff. it was something which could sit a while without worry of being cold or spoiling. By the time the dirigible arrived back she would be done cooking. Carefully setting the table, she was happy to be able to do something... normal.

Marius turned when he smelled something cooking behind him. He turned to find Gracelyn had prepared a meal. "Oh, Grace. I didn't even see you there. Perhaps you have seen our newest housemates? They are twins, you see. They are named Jaegar...and Jaegar. It may be some time before we stop confusing the two from one another," Marius laughed. "Tell me, what is it you have prepared?"
Marius sat at the dining table and sipped his wine. He was, for once in quite some time in the past few days, happy. Well, content anyway. He was well rid of a stresser in his life, an unattentive, unappreciative little magician. It would only be some time before Rose and Gracelyn began to wonder about where Matt was, but they'd get over it really fast. Marius never liked to dwindle on the past.

Rose Byrne Rose was in her room, hiding since she knew Marius was home and therefore was avoiding him. She played with some of the jewels she had gotten the night before. They were beautiful, but seemed too cold for her. She set them aside and went to her window to look out.
Rose scanned the outside, seeing nothing but desert for miles. "Definitely no escaping... Not that I would..." Despite the fact she didn't want to be around her master, she didn't want to leave either. She had only just been bought, and Gracelyn was someone she would miss dearly if she did. Plus, she figured the only way to leave and survive would be to get sold back to the slavers.

A soft blush crossed the top of her nose, happy to see him. Housemates? New ones? She shook her golden head no, " No, Sir. I'm afraid I have not seen anyone except you. Did your trip go well." She bowed her head slightly- his question coming just after his laugh. It made her chest ache, that sound. She swallowed, fretting a moment at her wrists before answering, " Beef stroganoff... I- I wanted to have something ready for when you returned. I would be happy to make you a plate." Cutie would leap from the counter to Marius. Landing easily on the bare shoulder and began wuffling about to get a good smell of him. Cutie was most certainly invading Marius space. Gracelyn watched her pet nervously, bare hands playing with the edges of the white scarf around her neck. She was very attached to it already. To Cutie. To the scarf. Maybe even the man who had given them both to her. It was a strange feeling being attached to something so quickly. She bit her lip, watching.

"I'd love a plate, thank you." Marius scratched the top of the small rodent's head with a claw as it landed on his shoulder and nuzzzled him. "Why, I do believe this tiny thing has grown quite accustomed to its new living environment in such a small amount of time. I do hope you maintain the cleanliness of my home and develop a living habitat for this small beast so that it might not relieve itself just anywhere. And you...what say you about that scarf? Should I be jealous you'd rather cuddle it, than me?" Marius took a few more sips of his drink.
A low purr began to form in Marius' throat. He very much liked to banter and flirt, even moreso when the two combined. Gracelyn was most certainly something else. A unique specimen that Marius had never obtained before, one who was very mysterious in very many ways. Her wrists, her life's story, that scarf, this small creature on his shoulder. He knew Gracelyn hid so much, and he also knew if he wanted to know, he simply demanded it so. So why, of any incomprehensible thoughts, couldn't Marius demand the knowledge that so vexed him so much to not know?

Cutie chirped and licked at the claw, holding it with tiny paws. The big eyes blinking slowly, trusting of the fuzzy tall one. Smelled like a cat, but didn't seem to want to eat him. Gracelyn carefully prepared his plate, taking it to the table and setting it down with nary a clink of china on wood. " I will have to buy a proper cage for Cutie the next time we go to market but he's been very well behaved," her soft voice broke a little. Maybe he really didn't like her having a pet. She fretted at the edge of the scarf, the camphor smell having long soaked into her hands. She didn't know how to answer. It made her nervous. Questions like that were loaded. They were the kind which ended with bleeding hands or bruises. She trembled, answering him barely above a whisper, " N-no, Sir, you never need be jealous. I... I belong to you- heart and soul." She swallowed, bracing for a strike with tense muscles, " I..it's just... it's the first g-gift I- I've ever had.... it and Cutie." They left their newly claimed room and began to poke about. Hand in hand the two boys tested doors and peeked about until they came to a room with a raven haired girl. They stood outside the door but allowed it to swing in. They smiled broadly and peered into the room. They linked arms, mirroring one another and they shifted their weight to the right and left leg. A wall in the doorway. "Oh my, Jaeger, this room is much bigger," he cooed. "I agree, Jaegar, it is much bigger," he confirmed. "Oh look! Hello, Miss," Jaegar waved. "Indeed. Hello, Miss," Jaeger bowed. "Are you our masters mistress or our sister in slavery?" they spoke in unison.

Rose Byrne Rose looked up when her bedroom door opened suddenly. "Didn't I have that door locked?" she thought to herself, confused about why her door open. It was then she saw two boys, twins by the looks of them, with oddly colored hair. She slowly stood up, not knowing who they were or if they were trustworthy.
Rose listened to them speak and wondered what they meant. She thought on it a moment and figured out what they were asking. They were slaves here too, and they were most likely new, newer than her and she had only been bought the day before. "I am a slave...." she said softly before sitting back at her window and looking out it again, which put her back to them again. She was for some reason crying and didn't want to let these new slaves know she was.

The door hadn't been closed, the girl had not only approached but spoke to them and then gone back to her window. The twins walked into the room together and looked about together. They both silently agreed that the room was bigger, had a bathroom and was far, FAR nicer than their own. But it was better than a cage. Better than mocking jeers. Better than strange hands trying to pull them apart. A shiver passed one and traveled through the other. Their smiles dimmed a moment, squeezing one another's hand tightly before their Cheshire grins spread across their faces. They walked over to and leaned on either side of the girl. Looking out the window, invading her space. They had few boundaries with others, especially those that looked like children. They glanced down at her, then to one another. She was crying? A weeping slave- most likely too young to understand. It was moving, but the twins had little care for tears- the distress was what interested them. "What a lovely view you have here, Little Raven." "Ah.. Small Raven, do you find this gaze lovely?" "Far nicer than being in a cage- I certainly believe." "I would agree, wouldn't you?" "I am Jaegar." "I am Jaeger." "Please tell us your name, Little Raven."
