I do be believe you're being overanalytical.
It's supposed to be taken as the order it happened.
Sora drew the Poupu implying that Kairi ate the first bite, and Kairi's response was drawing a Paopu for Sora, implying that Sora had the second bite.
The fact that they're both there is just to show the commitment.
I'm sorry, but it's annoying when people take things SO far out of context.
Don't get me wrong, I love Sora x Riku...

Yeah that is what a friend told me when i told them I didn't think the paopu fruit was for the love between the two. Still it is nice to hope right?
Anyway it still explains the lyrics to simple and clean the best in my opinion but that is only my opinion.
