"What about the betrayal the fragments are singing about?" Heidla was still suspicious, but - hopefully - starting to calm down. "Have you managed to grab some of them? I was hunting down a couple of them, but one disappeared leaving me.... shocked and lost, and the other.... it smelled so weirdly that my head started aching. This is the one that whispered about betrayal... could it be that we' re all betrayed? Again? I remember fighting hunters.... Could it be that it is one of their traps again?"Her voice was seething with hatred. She was easily dismayed again, just the thought about the hunters was enough to make her rage rise in her throat. " Huntersssss...... have they turned into minipets, too? Should we find them and finish them off?"Heidla Name: Heidla Faction: Horsemen Element: Dark HP: 30/30 Damage: n/a atm Items acquired: glass key, blood key, one fragment

Rep felt outright nauseous as he reformed after yet another dissipation, sure he could still feel the horrible echoes of being mobbed to death by tiny foxfires. It was not a situation he wished to repeat any time soon.
He picked himself up blearily from the ground, though almost wished he could just lie there until what ever horrific thing was going on was over. He felt better, mended, but he couldn't shake that dull ache somewhere in him like he'd been hit somewhere he just couldn't repair with conventional means. Rin was nearby looking smug, and rather than his usual playful reaction he might have made, the sight hurt him more than amused him. He felt vulnerable and awkward.
"Please don't say anything." He wasn't in the mood for jokes, clearly.
He sought around for Harrison and Jordan, with a mixture of worry and dread- hating himself for almost not wanting to find them.
It was the pink on Harrison's collar that caught his eye a second time, and he scurried nervously nearer to say as softly and helpfully as he could. "You shouldn't take B0nez off man." He even tried very hard to get his attention on something else that wasn't removing his weapon by adding. "Where is Jordan?"
Last he'd seen him, he'd almost had things under control.

Jerry was still stunned, wary to approach the cats even as it seemed most of the violence had passed. With a wary chirp, he took a couple hopping steps forward, eyeing Rep nervously before turning his attention to Harrison. "H-harri... are... you ... is everything..." What was even going on? This was all an insane dream, he had to figure. They were knocked out and dreaming. Quote: JerryHP: 30/30 Element: Fire: - Once per battle you may roll 1d6. [ Void Zone ] Rin clicked her beak shut, gaze following Rep in quiet bafflement. What was up? Her head swung back around at Jerry, "The hell is going on you guys?" The question was more or less directed at anyone who was listening and not specifically one or the other.

Jordan opened his eyes to the void again, feeling echoingly hollow, the sense of hate and anger and betrayal rattling around inside him, leaden and foreign. He felt so strange. Jordan, your mind feels wrong, Ferros insisted from that distant place where he was. Something was wrong. Something was definitely wrong. He was listening this time. He couldn't muster an apology, not with the searing fury still muttering in his head, but he wasn't ignoring his weapon now. When he looked up, he saw Harrison trying to pull B0nez off his collar. Wrong. Wrong. All wrong. He wanted to launch himself at the thin cat again, smack him and demand that he stop being stupid, that he listen, but he knew Harrison would only - what? No. No, these weren't his thoughts. He struggled to push them away, to separate them from his own feelings and thoughts. He took a few steps closer to the other, choked out, "Harrison, stop, something's - something's ******** with our heads, the shards are making us think things, say things, it's not you. Listen to B0nez." The voice of hatred in him surged, almost blinding him with rage, and he hissed and pawed at his own ears, as though he could block it out somehow. Ferros, help me!The dragon growled louder, his rumble and hiss increasing, though it still sounded distant. Jordan focused on the mental sound, latching onto it as a welcome distraction. "No, I'm not okay. No thanks to you, trying to distract me." It all made a very ugly picture. Fluttering wings. Pressure, being held down while the dogs came for him. "You think I care where that b*****d is?"
Oh good, he was fine. b*****d.
Yeah, listen to me, B0nez said, Stop wasting time pulling aggro and getting your a** kicked by mobs, we're still 1/100 here.
Get out of my damn head!
"Only person trying to mess with my head is you and B0nez. I know what I saw. You knocked me down so those pets of yours could tear me apart," he snarled at Jordan, "and you watched," Harrison finally worked B0nez free, and thew him at Rep's paws.

It seemed the Scareon had gotten away, for now. No Foxfire swarm had jumped her yet as she moved towards the cats and two birds. For a moment it seemed the one called Jordan was gaining control before letting out a series of hisses and yowls again.
"Fight it. Keep fighting it, you don't have time to let it control you." What ever it is, she reflected, she wasn't sure if Humans could get insanity, but Mini's could, couldn't they? The creatures of Joy did so why not other smaller FEAR based things?
She watched as Harrison ripped his little charm off, though the just how important that was didn't register with Sammy. "If he doesn't want his little collar screw it." She said to Rep before turning to eye the foxfire heard.

Madison's ears tilted back of their own accord, betraying her emotional state; she'd recognized Jordan's voice coming from a cat, and now that she knew what to look for she could spot little 'tells' in a few of the others. Other Hunters... ... but what were the others, then? There were more creatures here than there were Hunters who had been assigned to the mission, she was pretty sure. Native creatures, or... or what? It was all so surreal, so strange. Like a dream. With an unhappy sigh, she clumsily curled her fluffy tail around herself as best she could. Rep kept telling himself he could cope with this, it was just something wrong, something in the air, something in the water.
But he couldn't.
Harrison's words were intolerable, hearing him say things he couldn't possibly have felt. Or maybe he could, and Rep had just never realised - too stupid to see he was just a hopeful moron assuming he had unconditional friends. Insidious doubt crept through all his well meaning hopes like poison. His attention was seized as Jordan seemed to realise something wasn't right about what was going on. He said it wasn't them, but the doubts already slithering through Rep's mind made him think maybe it was, maybe it was what people felt deep down. Maybe that was the problem.
"I didn't..I.." he stammered as he tried to argue that he had only watched because there was nothing else he could do, that he'd tried to fight but had ended up the same way as both of them.
His words trailed off to nothing as B0nez was thrown at his feet, staring blankly at the skull as Harrison's final comments felt like they tore out more of him than anything else this trip - or any other - had managed to. He couldn't reply, he couldn't even get a handle on what he felt, just very gently and almost distantly picked B0nez up in a paw.
He was back to a helpless place he didn't want to be, he could do nothing for anyone, he wasn't like Jordan, he didn't have the right words to say to make things seem okay, he didn't have Harrison's self confidence, he simply couldn't cope.
If he had any common sense, he'd turn around and walk away till it was over, but he couldn't do that either, chained in place by feelings he had no damn control over. He'd made his choices, he couldn't change it. He said nothing else, just if Harrison took a single step away from them, hobbled after him on three legs.

The Herd whined a little as it turned into a massive block of ice. A new friend had appeared but they could go hug and play with her! So awful! Thank goodness she was doing her best to break them free! The ice vibrated at Sammy as she lashed out at them. The hooded kitsunay grinned toothily down at the mouthy little pet, "Does it really matter who I am, my dear? I'm just so far above you," his voice was full of mocking sympathy. "Though I suppose there is that habit of naming what you fear, to make it a known quantity. To make it safe and controllable." The creature's low laughter filtered down to Sammy. "I have little use for names child, but call me as you please." A loud crack filled the air, and the kitsunay disappeared from view as twenty foxfires full of pent-up fun and affection descended on her The herd loves you too Sammy. "Oh for goodness sake!" Jerry chirped in a huff, "You three are acting CRAZY. And coming from me that's ridiculous." He was still hesitant to get too close, but surprisingly out of all of them, Rep seemed the most in control. It was exasperating. "Someone said something about the shards- maybe the ones they grabbed were... I don't know... weird. Or something." He turned to Rin, a look of desperation on his face. "And Harrison tried to EAT me." He missed the mysterious fox's appearance and disappearance in all the madness. Perhaps it was for the best. Sammy turned to look at Rep one more time, she'd deal with him when she came back.
Dissipation sucked but she handled it better then the three humans would. So instead she turned towards the Fox. <******** YOU BRING IT YOU ARROGANT SACK OF s**t!" She stalked away from the three and Jerry facing the horde of foxfires head on as they swarmed over her. It would rank as one of the more crappy deaths. Like needles all over as they gnawed and nipped at her. It was quick though and soon enough she was back stumbling slightly to the side shaking her head gasping slightly.
The cold hollow felling was a bit new. Still she shook it away, looking for the kitsune again who was now gone.
She was back and the heard it seemed was distracted, so she moved after the hunters. "Listen to the bird. He's right." She moved after Rep scampering to keep up.
"Man the ******** up." She hissed tail lashing, "LOOK AT ME," a bone paw raised to swat catching his tail. "Snap out of it. You know this isn't them. You're a blood thirsty psychotic jackass human who I should all rights rip your damn throat out." She leaned in hissing quietly, so he could hear her alone "I need that psychotic a*****e not this pathetic sham go to them and fix this they're your friends not mine and we need them to get through this!"Stats Location: The Void HP: 30 Faction: Amity Type: Water Deaths: 1 Looks Like: This

Relief washed over his face when Edel finally recognized him, pushing his glasses up with a wing. "Y-Yeah . . . B-B-But would be t-too easy," he replied, watching with alarm as a hoard of cloaked foxfires mauled a scareon with a rather recognizable forelimb. Worse, there seemed to be a grinning wolf-like minipet watching them from above - or he had been like five seconds ago. Wtf.
Mort didn't like this one bit. Not the spatting cats he was certain now to be Hunters (given that they bore remarkably familiar markings he'd seen on their coats), not the sparking shards that evidently twisted emotions in an alarmingly similar fashion to Insanity (at least, from what he gathered), and now random herds that could flatten them - all for the pleasure of respawning to perhaps get killed again.
Hunters might think their respawn ability useful, but it was also tiring and demoralizing after a while.
"Will try n' stick c-close to," Mort offered, the distorted surroundings not welcoming in the slightest. "Whatever happens, will p-prolly end in big fight of some sort. N-Not to mention Hunters n' horsemen here too," he added in a lower tone, like that wasn't obvious yet. "Means f-fight will happen either way, minipets or not." He shot another look at the last place he'd seen the dark observer, frowning. "Think sh-should try flying up, s-see if get different perspective?"Mort the Spoilers Faction: Amityville Element: Light HP: 20/30 Keys: Silver

[ Void Zone ] Rin cringed at Jerry, "That's disgusting, he doesn't know where you've been!"
She turned her gaze over at Rep who seemed to be hopelessly wandering after Harrison now, "We should probably follow them to make sure they don't dissipate - again. It might not kill-kill them but it can't be healthy."

It was hard to say what was going on for sure but Mitsu had done her best to stay close to Shun while he pampered and obsessed over his shard. Really what was with it and why did she feel so out of it? It was hard to say, maybe this place was getting to her but when the herd of fluffy invaders showed up Mitsu stood to her feet circling around the pixie daeva protectively. " S..Shun..." She sounded worried. There were a lot of foxfires. Mitsu Status HP: 23/ 30 Fraction: Amity Element: Light Keys: Silver, Gold Rolls: 3/3
