The little exchange between everyone occurred, and then everyone was gone, heading towards a trap door and leaving the zomboil all alone in the dark. If his hand had indeed found Yins, the other boil had pulled away before taking off, and, feeling more then a little hurt by the action, Alex glanced back towards the office, considering just leaving now since he was clearly unwanted. But no, he couldn't turn back around, not when everyone was going in the other direction. Zombie horde instincts encouraged him to follow, as well as his desires to make sure everyone he cared about stayed safe. Who really knew what danger might lurk beyond that opening? Alex followed behind the others, beyond any hope of catching Yin or finding his other friends in the darkness. Goin down the trap door~ ramenli nothing to see here, really anyone!! want to harass a lonely zombie? Feel free!

All of this was a little too close to what she had seen through Ava's eyes. So close, that it was unsettling. From the sound of chatter going through the group stuck here along with her, it sounded as though others were possibly thinking the same. Well, as long as they didn't end up like the others, then she would continue on with the exploring.
Tybalt was easily spotted not far off from where she stood, thanks to his built in night light of eyes. Other familiar faces were among him as well. Good, if something did go bad, then she wanted to be near people that she could put her trust in. If only Bul was here as well..she would text him, but thanks to his phone having gotten waterlogged, that option was out of the question.
Students appeared to be attempting to pry open what looked to be some sort of trap door. Perhaps that was where the voices were coming from?

Mei looked up in what she figured was the direction the taller boil was. "Well you never know. Things tend to not be quite what you think they are around here." She stuck her tongue out at him playfully, clutching her bottle closer to her. "Eisheth is a alchemist. So I figure since cider is contraband and since she's also a Horsemen she's never seen cider before." Looking down at the bottle she smiled inwardly. "Alex you ok back there? Still...er...unalive? In one piece for the most part?" Her voice was just a little louder, but not much. Just enough for the zomboil to hear her from the front of the group.

When the jiang-shi called to Alex, Mort turned to also pick out his zombro, though he was a little distracted by a familiar face lagging behind. "C'mon, Mei, you too!" he called to the red-head.
Pause.
That would probably cause some identity confusion.
Uhhhh. Okay, what was her full name? Mei something. Jack, it'd been months . . . Jaaack.
"LFX stick together," Mort added, generating a little spark of electricity between his fingers to help her figure out their position. Hopefully that helped delineate the difference and not reveal how he'd forgotten his old teammate's full name. "Zombies too. Let's k-keep these ghouls company, Alex." Because the way things were going, trouble was definitely going to find them. It was a feeling in his bones, and the circuitry that constituted for it.
Now back to the conversation at hand. At Meixiang's teasing face, Mort only grinned, the tinges of bittersweetness perhaps caught as he clenched a fist; green electricity arced about it to briefly light up his face. "Oh, do know. Trust me. Been through enough to know i-is best be on guard." And even then, sometimes that wasn't enough.
What bothered Mort most was that this was too much like the Trance, like the time his observed student had fumbled her way through the darkness into a cave of empty promises and cursed treasures. Wary wasn't beginning to describe how Mort felt about this endeavor, as much gusto as he had in the beginning.
"Personally wouldn't waste good cider on Horsemen, but maybe you have better luck," he said. "Really've only met one I-I liked. Rest usually give bad looks or, from Famine, probing ones."

Yay friends! Alex caught up to his friends (somehow) using Morts electricity to guide him. "Still in one piece, yes." he gave the small ghoul an almost unhappy smile. "Don't suppose any of you have bumped into Yin?" Morts group phone tag, consider Alex following until further notice!

Knowing there was at least two of them in the school with the name Mei, the living doll didn't quite realize that Mort had been referring to her. Rubbing at the back of her neck, she followed Mort over, thanks to him helping her find her way with his ability. "Hey, Mort. Long time no see." LFX. It felt like forever and a day since the whole haunted house incident. But it was nice to see that Mort remembered. There were a few others with him, but it was kind of hard to tell whom they might be with the lack of light.

Once Mitsu was back, Shun walked on with her towards the tunnel. Hearing Mort speak of the cider, he slowly shook his head to himself. "Depending on what's down there, we may have greater things to worry over other than the cider getting damaged," he said flatly. There was a bit of talk regarding the horsemen. He didn't particularly blame them for being wary. Personally, the Reaper didn't have much issue with them, but then again his relations with Invictus were fairly sound. They respected one another and were willing to give aid should they need it. That said, he figured he could at least rely a little on the conquest horsemen in the least.

Lumikki had totally been paying attention...maybe. Well it wasn't really her fault she didn't notice the other students that had joined the group, she was kind of wandering around wondering if her brain was right and this tunnel seemed oddly familiar. As well as worrying if the cider she had stashed away in her coat would be taken away from her or not, hearing a voice come up from behind her she turned to see a boil who seemed very unhappy, as well as two other ghouls. Seeing a spark ahead of her she smiled, "OH! Light!"...okay a little too loud. Hmmm should she tell someone where she was just in case. "...do...does anyone know where this tunnel might lead? Because I have a slightly bad feeling about this..."

The wolfos had the cider hidden in his robes, safe. There would be time for bribery later. As he came out from the hole to survey the damage he read the note. Number stored, he looked back into the hole. Students looking for passages, and then finding a hole. How lovely. The familiar faces vanished and with little else to investigate, he followed. Red eyes glowed slightly, he sniffed the passage, trying to determine what there was to find. People who took cider Hey next time, please don't assume things like that my character is going to expose a stash of cider or show that he found any. It really annoys me that no one asked about that and assumed that he wouldn't have kept that information to himself. Edit: Unless you all took empty cider bottles. :U

"Ohh right, that makes sense. Maybe she'll be able to make something new out of it!" Wasn't that what alchemists did? Leo found herself wondering what kind of thing you could make from cider. Hmm. Maybe she'd ask Mei again later when all this was over and the cider had been delivered; surely you could make something interesting from cider. Alex? "Alex!" She hadn't even noticed him here, but now that he was catching up to the group, she threw him a happy smile. And he was followed by a ghoul she'd never seen before, so for good manners sake Leo threw a smile at her too. Whether or not she could actually see it in the darkness was debateable. "And nice to meet you, miss. I'm Leo." Skipping a bit and humming the tune Mei had made up, she turned her head to look at the Reaper boil who'd spoken. "Hm, I guess that's true." Depressing, but probably true. "And not even the faintest clue." She replied to the ghoul who'd looked suspiciously happy earlier. Not that Leo could talk, seeing as she was suspiciously happy right now.

At some point the passage seemed to grow longer, stiller, a strange unending silence. And then-
- It looked like an ordinary section of the school and could have been any locker room, simple and all too unusual in the underground setting. A series of lights buzzed and hummed from above, the lockers against the side of the odd cave-curved hallway were interestingly enough, polished, each of them closed, a padlock in the center. The first of the lockers started at 1 and went all the way to an even 150.
It was literally a stone hallway that was both sides, comprised of lockers out of all things. There was something engraved however, at the base of each one, a series of words:
"Defenders until the end."
A small icon was engraved on some of the lockers, though others lay simply empty. Fresh Halloween snapdragons adorned some of the lockers: someone had visited this area recently.
Upon closer inspection, underneath the number of the lockers was a name. OOC - There are 150 lockers, but students from PART ONE OF DEFENDERS may find that lockers 100 - 125 contain very familiar names- Claiming a memento: - Your student can choose to OPEN a locker. As they go down the list of names, perhaps ONE of the names is actually familiar to the students perhaps even the name of their flashback student they had shadowed. Once they find that past student's locker, they can now choose to open it, but they will need the combination from Mitsu's book. It is probably in bad taste to open more than one locker though... there is something odd about the atmosphere here, almost ominous. - OOC: You can choose any number from 100 - 125 as your past flashback character's locker, and your present student can now discover it to open it up, but they will still need the book from Mitsu to figure out the locker combination. Any students attempting to open the locker with the right combination should post their locker number and combination in BOLD RED when attempting to open it.

Shehk hadn't tried to lead the way at all once the way had been opened, content to bury herself into the center of the group as she cautiously moved along the hallway. When it opened up, however, she made a rather curious noise. "Huh...doesn't seem like anything worth hiding...." she noted.
She had been walking past the lockers when one in particular stopped her, seeming to jerk to a halt before she took a few steps back and looked at one of them with a small and curious tilt of her head. Then to the other side...then back again. She reached out, brushing some dust off of the name plate before she sighed.
LOCKER 112 - BENEDICT SYLVAN STONE
'd**k'
"So. You did exist, d**k." she mumbled to herself, taking a moment to try and jostle the locker open before making a face. Well, what did she do about that?

Once Shun had joined her Mitsu found her way through the corridor into....a locker room. She surveyed the area in a moment of confusion. "W...why would there be lockers...here of all places?"
She stared at the numbers on the lockers themselves and then closer at the familiar emblem. "Defenders...." Almost instantly she began to search the names below the numbers one by one. She searched almost frantically until she finally came to a stop in front of locker number 110. The name below the number was much like any of the others but it stood out to Mitsu because she had known this ghoul, at least somewhat. "Quin..."
Staring at the number again Mitsu seemed to piece something together and flipped open the journal again to stare at the numbers. Once she found the one that belonged to 110 she carefully began to turn the dial to the combination on the page. 39-17-05
"These are combinations....I think." Mitsu amended.

Text to Shehk Hey Shehk? Stopped by Arel's about that 'package' from R's. Place is wrecked. You know whats up? She slid her phone away staring through the door into the mess of Arel's office. This was certainly not normal, swearing and a bit of yelling yes, but this was above and beyond the usual fits Arel might have had behind that door.

The emblem was all too familiar for the Reaper as well. But he didn't have any answer for Mitsu on why they were here. He paused when she stopped by a certain locker's... Quin's. "... Ugh.. d**k," Shun murmured as he heard Shehk mention the cockatrice as well. He remembered that particular figure all too well. These all must have belonged to that particular class. This was still a strange place to have these.. hidden away and what not. Was the school trying to hide them? Why weren't the lockers simply replaced? "Can you help me find Vel's?" he asked the lycan quietly, "Once.. you're done looking at Quin's that is."
There was a certain curiosity he had, having followed the raptor during those times...
