"I'll keep watch, every day when the sun is just about the horizon any later is dangerous. If I don't come back within when the sun is below the horizon take the lead and tell Alona to move the heard." As far as he knew she was still slumbering. He still hadn't told many of his past and this was bringing back the pains of it. His eyes flickered, "just stay far from the coast Ayita. I don't want anyone near there."

"Don't worry." Ayita replied in a calm and mesured voice. "I have no interest in getting any closer than I absolutly nessisary to those fire sticks. Especialy if that is what frightened the animals so badly that they fled their homes in fear."
Lowering her head in aquiecence the painted mare nodded. "I will tell Alona. I will pray to the spirit for your safty and quick return. Watch your back. Everyone will be waiting for you. And Cyrus you do not face this danger alone. Even if we are not physicly present, your family is always with you."

Cyrus nodded as the time he had already approached so he took off in a run from the open glade into the dense forrest, thich brush and twigs to crush beneath his powerful hooves. The warrior painted stallion ran until he was close enough to the coast that the sea breeze jingled his earrings and blew his feathers.

Ayita watched the dark stallion as he dissapeared into the distance, silently asking the spirits to watch over him as he sought out the sorce of the trouble. When she could no longer see him she turned walking nearer to where Alona was resting. She wanted to be able to tell the lead mare what was happening as soon as Alona woke. So she stopped just a short distance away from the beautiful brown mare her eyes pulled once more to the horizon.
Discreatly she looked around to see which adults were present. If worst came to worst they would wind up having to move the herd. Hopefully that would not need to happen. If they moved the herd it would be harder for those who were currently away from the herd to find them again.
The painted mare prayed for the safty of her family as she settled down to watch and wait. She had no idea what the day might bring, but they would face it together as a family whatever came their way.

Dyami eyed Ayita and Cyrus as it seemed something important was going on. and just as suddenly as Ayita had come, Cyrus took off somewhere. he wondered what on earth was going on to have Cyrus take off like that. seeing Ayita looking around, he wondered if he should ask what was going on.

Feeling Dyami's eyes upon her Ayita turned to glance at the strong white stallion. From his questioning gaze she could tell he was wondering what was going on. It would be good to have as much help as possible should the situation turn sour. Glancing down to make sure she hadn't awoken the sleeping Alona the painted mare trotted lightly over to where Dyami was standing.
"There's trouble out on the coast. There are pale twoleggers there who carry strange sticks that make thunder and spit fire. He has gone to investigate. From what I could tell they probably don't pose an active threat at the moment. But there is no way to know for certian without checking it out personally. That is what Cyrus has gone to do. If he is not back by the time the sun slips down past the horrizon Alona is to move the herd. That may cause some confusion. If that happens we are going to need all the help we can get. I'd rather not panic the foals if we can do anyting to prevent it."

Dyami was shocked at hearing this. it made him worrie about his son Fenrir who was always wandereing and also the rest of the family and the herd. " i see, that really makes me worried. and im glad to know of this now." he then frowned, wondering what He and Ayita could do to help Alona while Cyrus was gone. " i dont know what we could do to cause less confusion. seems we are in quite the pickle now."

"It's a challange, I'll grant you that." Ayita aknowlaged the truth of what Dyami said with an unhappy look in her warm brown eyes.
"The herd in a fright is not at all what we want. But perhaps if we were to slowly spread the word to the stronger less flighty adults we could manage to protect the more timid and younger members of our family without causing any alarm. I didn't do so before because someone has to stand watch. But if you are willing to help we could take it in turns. That would at least give us a fighting chance if our fears are realized."

Celendria longed for wingbeats of old as she dreamed of Euphoria whom roamed the blue ocean known as the sky. She frowned looking at Glory and Kimi then to the others in welcome. "I must be on my way for the time being as I dream of my mate daily. Sad it is to be so passionate but I miss his soft caresses." she whinnied softly turning to Glory and Kimimela lastly. "I'll be back in no time. If you happen to see your brother please tell him the news."
She then turned and bowed to Cyrus, "My wishes to Alona and your family. I shall return." she noted as she turned to canter back from wence she came.
Glory reared up and thought for a moment. "Hmm Kimi I think i'm going exploring. I think you'll be alright here in the herd with the others. Mkay its time to go and find something interesting." she giggled looking at the others, "Take care of Kimi till I get back. I'll see if I can find something for the whole herd."
She turned to head out looking at the lemur mare whose eyes carried confusion and sadness, "Hey... I'll be back before you know it Kimi. I know the others will keep you company." she nodded in turn galloping off in the opposite direction of her mother.
The lemur mare stood still as the others had just severed ties to go in their own path. But where was Kimi to go to? She pawed the ground looking quite miffed as she stared at the others so new to her it was like arriving to this plain all over again.
"Like it here much Kimi does. Letting me stay Kimi thanks you."

"Cyrus mentioned we were not to move until the sun sinks below the horizon so we do have a little time . Though, I agree, we should talk to Alona before doing anything that might cause too much pantic. I thought I saw her napping somewhere near here." Ayita said craneing her head around look at the soquili nearest to her and Dyami.
((Do you think I should go nudge Hanging Gallow in a pm to let her know we need her?))

(( sure i guess if we wanna move this along))
" that is true and we should hurry then." dyami gave a sigh at the turn of events that where now happening. shaking his head, he would now after talking to Alona have his son, daughter and mate stay close. he just hoped his son fenrir was alright though he figured he could take care of himself. though he could not help but worry.

((sorry guys I have been busy with colorings for MR and with another forum problem that I haven't stopped in for very long sweatdrop ))
The sweet grass started to tickle Alona's nose. Crunching up her nose hoping to make it stop, she let out a sneeze, that woke her up. She looked around and notice Dyami and Ayita standing not far from her. Cyrus was no where to be seen, but she didn't worry for the moment he must be with the rest of the herd or with Cynara.
Standing up she shook the dead leaves and grass that she had bedded in off of her. She knickered to Dyami and Ayita and while her soft brown eyes searched the area for Moki her son.

Hearing Alona's greeting Ayita knickered back stepping closer to the lead mare. She glanced around casuraly to make sure they woundn't be over heard by anyone who shouldn't hear such sensitive news.
"We may need to move the herd depending on what Cyrus finds. He's gone on a scouting mission to check on the pale sinkned two leggered that have landed on the coast. A friend of mine encounterd one of them carring a strange stick that spit fire and made thunder. I did not see it for myself but upon hearing of it Cyrus decided to head off to investigate." Ayta said all in one breath being careful to recite her information properly. "I believe he will find that they are far enough away from us to be safe for now, but he wanted to be certian. He left orders for you to move the herd if he should not come back by sunfall."

Cyrus... was all she could could think for a flash moment. He shouldn't have gone alone. She was worried. But there was no time.
"So want Kanti said was true as well.... these two leggers have been cutting trees down... for what she could not understand" Alona said to Ayita. Her soft brown eyes gave her a sympathetic look before returning their gaze back to the ground. She shook her head for a moment and gave Ayita a nod. "You have done well in telling me the information. If he does not return by sunset I will need your help in informing the herd we will move, can I count on you to help?" Alona said giving Ayita a strong determined face, "I would have asked my children to help, but they are not here Moki and Cynara both have left to wander as well as Kanti. And Maeve lives in the village. I fear that they may be in danger as well, but for now we must worry about the herd. We all must be carefull, the herd musn't wander anywhere near the woods, not until Cyrus comes back with news. Does anyone else in the herd know anything about this?" she asked wondering if anyone else knew of what brewed outside the forest.
