Kiera made a small grunt like sound before turning away and curling up again with her back to the air. "No way in hell am i going to eat-" She sniffed the air. " 'Soup' with them. Knowing Amelie, she'll poison my part." She didn't both acknowledging Amelie as her mother, either. And she actually believed that Amelie would do something like that, no matter how scared of Kiera she was. A 'Loving' family, wasn't the right word.
Amelie shrugged. "Alrighty. I got a big pot, so there's plenty spare anyways." She finished cooking, and took the soup off the heat. Then, she took off her apron and looked to Yuji with an accusing eye. "Smell good enough for you, critique?"

*Yuji smerked* "Eh it smells alright so far... but how it taists is what matters." He looked ot the soup, "hey can you make up somthing spechal for Eve though. I don't think she's into soup since thats all she's been eating for almost a month now." He was seroius, "nothing fancy, just... i don't know like a grilled sandwhich or somthing."
Meanwhile the boy stood up and looked to Keria as she spoke aobut the offer. He turned and walked into the kitchen. "I would like a bowl for me and Ms Keria please." After given two bowls, he walked out to keira and sat down. "They said this one is yours." He held up the right one. THen he handed her the left one which was suppost to be his, "but thsi one would be safe." He smiled at her trying to cheer her up. he didn't know about this family all that much. He saw the king as a caring guy so far, who always has his hands full. Ms AMeile on the other hand... he didn't yet have a opion about. As he slurped some of what was suposst to be Kerias bowl.*

Kiera sat up, and took the soup in her hands. She looked at it, but wasn't so sure. "She could have known you were going to swap it, she's a mind reader." She proclaimed stubbornly. "And plus she probably made it horrible so anyone who eats it feels sick or something. I dunno." She looked back to the soup. She was hungry. Very much so. So she dipped her finger in, and sucked on it. Just to test it. It tasted alright, and to be honest all she really needed to do was to sniff it to make sure she hadn't done anything to it. But Kiera's mind wasn't working all that well at the moment. Being trapped by yourself for centuries in a place of nothingness can do that to a person.
Amelie raised her eyebrows further, and held up her spoon in threat. "I don't think that's what you say to someone who just made you dinner.~" She chimed. But then, loosing her enthusiasm, she spun around on her heel and began to make Eve a grilled sandwhich. "Fine. But commercialized food really isn't that good for her in the recovery stage. Just sayin'."

*Yuji shied as he sat down with a bowl of the soup of his own.* "Yea i know. But i feel bad for her in a way, to have to reverse every wound and each orgen that stoped when you died. That has to be ruff. Least i can do is give her a sandwhich." He got up and walked over to ameile and kissed her cheek, "thanks hun." He smield and poured her a bowl of the soup and sat it in her seat for her.*
Meanwhile Shortstraw shied, "well then maybe i knew that she would know and switched it. Can't always live in fear, thats what you tought me." He took a spoon full and shoved it into his mouth. Life was always about chances. What ifs. If she would always fear just being able to eat, then why not take the chance other then suffer from starving? Thats how he saw things. When on the street he would eat out of trash cans, with rotten food and such to survive before he came here, so he didn't care if it was poisened or not. But suddnely Veira appeared over the couch with a giggle, "Actully when no one was paying attention i put some poisen in the shortystraws bowl, just now." She giggled as he looked to the bowl. Now he knew she would do that, and veria spun around and pointed to Keria, "BUT thankys to me his is amune to any poisen his body takes in. It took alittle expermenting but i did it when he was sleeping one night~" she sang as she skipped into the kitchen, the boy was puzzled now.*

Kiera didn't so much as look at her sister, when she was in the room, nor when she was leaving. "A little pest and she always will be." She finally said as she had a spoonful of soup. It was the first food she'd had for a while, so the bowl soon became empty of it's contents. Kiera noticed something then. Something she would have ordinarily noticed straight away but her senses were still getting adjusted. She wasn't sure if she was the only one who knew, and she hoped she wasn't. But it was something that disturbed her greatly, and equally dreaded.
Amelie smiled weakly as she finished making Eve's dinner and putting it on the table. She then sat in her seat and began to eat her own. "I made it, but i'm not going to give it to her. I'm hungry as it is."

*Yuji nodded* "I'll take it up to her." He quickly took the plate withe the grilled sandwhip and headed to Eves room. He came back out quickly and headed back into the kitche to finally eat with his wife. As he sat down he shied, "Yea she's looking horrable still. Her skins all brused up and blacke and blue right now. She said thankyou for the sandwhich though." He begain to sip up some of the soup, "eh not bad i guess." he said witha smerk.
As soon as the boy finished he stood up and took the enty bowl from Keria, "sould i get you some more?" He asked unsure what was troubling her now.

Amelie shook her head and mock laughed. "I thought the role of a husband was to compliment his wife's cooking, y'know." She nudged his arm and finished her soup. Once she did she yawned a lot and sat back in her chair comfortably. "Pfff. 'Not bad' indeed."
Kiera shook her head sternly. "I'm fine." She said, quite ironically. She looked to the floor, thought about something, then looked back to him. "And it's not like you're my slave. You don't have to answer my beck and call. You don't even have to be around me as much as you are. And yet you do." She stood up from the chair, brushing herself off and walking to the window. It was raining outside, oh joy. She put her hands on the window and put her face closer to it so she could see out of the glass clearer. But still, she couldn't feel the icy touch of the glass against her fingertips.

*Yuji laughed as he finished his bowl.* "Yea. So quesiton is... now what?"
Meanwhile, the boy looked to the floor and finally said it out loud, "your all i have." It was a sad tone, but not fully. Did she want him to go away? Was that a sign that he was around her too much, maybe it was annoying to her. He didn't mean to be.

Amelie could answer that question quickly. "Sleep." She said confidently. That was the only thing she wanted right now and she thought she deserved it. Of course she did.
Kiera didn't turn around, she just kept herself to the window. She smiled to herself a little, feeling the irony more than anything. "Well. You picked a bad person to latch yourself onto, i'll say that now. But you probably already know that." She took her hands off the window, and slowly backed up from it. Then, sitting cross legged in the middle of the room, she looked to him with a curious gaze. "And do you wanna hear the irony of the situation?" She paused, not taking her eyes off him. "You're all I have, too." Now she knew that he would object to that, but it was the blunt truth. She had positively detached herself from her family and she no longer had any friends.

*Yuji shied* "Everything is sleep with you. Sleep is so boring..."
Meanwhile Shortstraw looked to her in alittle shock. He of course didn't belive that. He sat down infront of her the same way she was. "You belive all you have is me? Mr Yuji and Ameile may not be the greatest ever... i can tell they are weird and always to buisy or looking for somthing to toment eachother, but thats what familiy does. They pick on, or trick eachother. Ms Veria is weird and scary, but i think she looks up to you, else why would she be around so much. Not being close to them, is closer then never having any of that. Yep yep, you cant gt rid of me, yourstuck with me. And i think your stuck with all those demons that chose you over everyone else too. Your never alone untill you have nothing to loose." He smiled at her. He knew what she was getting at, but he found this more of a argument. He truly had nothing. She had all sorts of things, and could do whatever she wanted, meanwhile he was a kid with nothing but a hope that he could be useful one day. thats all he ran on. Mr Yuji, he cares alittle, but he thought the older man was infact trying not to be too atteched to keria becuse of her age, he needed to let go of her already. Ameile had died already. And has Keira forgot about Eve? Shortstraw knew alot about keira from her, and he knew her vary well. Eve cared alot for Keria, but he would never explaint he reasions.*

Kiera winced a little, looking away. She then put her head on her hand, leaning on her elbow. "You don't understand.." Her fist clenched a little tighter, around her leg. And she bit her tongue so hard that it bled. No pain. "I didn't expect you to believe me. No, of course you wouldn't." She didn't look to him, not at all. She just continued to stare at the floor, looking as if she was in her own little dreamworld. "It's just who i am. The way i was brought up proved to me that i should never care for anyone. So i haven't. Being that people care about me doesn't make me.. 'not' alone. Because i don't care about them. To not be alone is to have mutual feeling. And in the end i've found that being alone makes me strong. Gives me no weaknesses, more time to do whatever i want. And nothing more to care about. People choose to care about me or follow me because of my power, and in the smallest case for love. Cyril and Amnesia, they didn't care at all about my power. Which is why i stuck with them. But then they became a liability. And it became a perfect oppertunity to teach myself and you a lesson." As soon as she stopped talking, her eyes flashed. The fire that burned them. "I have to remain alone."
Amelie frowned. "Well, my dear. Sleep is a wonderful thing. It gives you energy, it stimulates your brain. Gives you less fatigue. Strengthens your mind. Gives you a chance to relax. I have to admit, i didn't sleep as much as i do now when i was an assassin. Being that killing could be just around the corner. But then i was also unwell. So it just goes to show." She stood up from her chair, then draped herself over Yuji. "Sleep is good." She smiled.

*Yuji chukkled and kissed her* "Well then i guess you win there. However, what makes you think that i will let you sleep so easily." He chukkled.
Shortstraw nodded as finally she spoke the truth. "First, i don't mean to be disrespectful with anythig i say here to you ms Keria. Second, sometimes takeing the chance and having those worries and cares... wether it's how you were rased or not, that is somthing worth living for. Living in fear stinks, but even when some is, they find there good things about it too. Third, If you always see things as a weakness when you care about it, or becuse it's somthing you like. Never fear someone will hold it aginst you, becuse even if they do, it would be somthing worth fighting for then rather not have any reasions to live int he first place. And finally..." He smiled and stood up alittle blush, as he held out his hand, "I don't follow you becuse of your power, and not everyone does think of it that way. Sometimes it just becuse you are you. Your personality, you thoughts on diffrent matters, maybe even your pretty looks. I follow you becuse i sorta like you..." He blushed alittle more. Yep the little kid was saying this to a older women as it was, but that was the truth since the beging. Not just becuse she killed his parents killer. But also becuse she took him in. She didn't tak ehim in becuse of power, he didnt' ahve any. She always seemed care for him one way or another... it was never about if he was lost to her or not.*

Kiera slowly looked over to him, the boy she called shortstraw. And saw his hand held out to her. She hesitated for a second, and looked back to the floor. "Well that's a first." She simply commented. She wasn't being harsh, she just still saw him as a little kid. "I guess that makes me someone who has nothing to live for, huh." Her eyes thinned a little. "I don't live in fear. In fact the only thing that i go by is to not live in fear. Fear is weakness. Taking on every challenge that's thrown at me shows this." She stifled a little sarcastic laugh, not taking her eyes off the floor. "Sometimes people like me for just being me, eh? That's kinda funny, given the kind of person i am." Her face fell back to stone, from her sudden amusement.
Amelie scrunched up her face at Yuji. "Awhh comon. It's bad enough that you made me get up the way that you did. And now you're forbidding me from sleep? No-one can deny human rights." She challenged.

Go ahead and get your little picket sign hun, becuse your the one that taught me that it can be denide" He jumped up and held out his soup spoon as if a knife, "and i will win as i keep you away." He was indeed accepting the challange, fact was she was the only one he could annoy right now.*
Meanwhile shortstraw looked to her with a little frown. "I didn't say the fear part aimed at you it was a example. Of how things happen and what others also have to deal with. Your not the first like the way you are, and never would you be the last." He noticed she didn't take his hand but he still held it out and looked tot he floor, "Am i a reasion for you to live?" He asked softly... unsure he was going too far into this question and all this they were atalking about.*

Kiera licked her teeth, not taking her eyes off the ground for one second. "I suppose so. Maybe i wouldn't have taken you in and kept you, otherwise. I might have dumped you on the street somewhere." That was the hardest she could try at being sentimental, blame the lack of experience. "And maybe if i had nothing to live for anyway, i might not be here right now. But you are, and therefore so am i." She knew the risks she was taking with herself to admit something like that, her moral may have never been the same after. However she was still reluctant to take his hand, this moment was just too demotivating.
Amelie sat in his chair with her arms folded over her chest, looking over to him as the challenge flared up in her crimson eyes. "I think the disadvantage is with me. Getting to sleep with you trying to get me stay awake is going to be hard. So, you know. I could just.." She paused, taking a moment to smirk up at him. She then flicked her wrist. "..Poof." And with that, she exploded into a mass of nothingness. She teleported.
