 Ray carefully joined his Alpha on the bed, he had been unsure of how he was to get on the said item. He ended up jumping on top of it, keeping his broken limb as close to his body as possible. He curled up next to her and whimpered again.

 Katriel licked his face and ears, and then settled her large red head and one paw on his back, gently reminding him that she was still top dog. Her stomach was still full of food and she was tired out from all the excitement of the day. Soon she was drifting into sleep.

Ray smiled to himself as Katriel licked his face and ears She really cares about me he thought when she settled her head and paw onto his back gently. He knew he was probably wrong about that but wasn't going to complain anyways. So long as she was gentle he was willing to allow her to be on top of him for now. He closed his eyes wanting to sleep but couldn't. In the back of his mind he kept feeling as though someone was going to come and hurt them. Even with a full stomach he wasn't very sleepy. He couldn't help but think of the younger male, Katriel seemed to think that he wouldn't come back but what if he did and with friends? One was enough, he didn't think he could handle two of them at once. He checked to see if his Alpha was sleeping or not. She was even more beautiful when she was. How can she look so good no matter what she does? he questioned in his head, he kept sniffing the air ready for anyone coming to hurt his Alpha.

Katriel dozed but Ray's tension eventually roused her. He probably felt like he had a lot to be nervous about but he really didn't. If the earlier intruder was in walking shape--which he probably wasn't after the beating Ray had given him--he wouldn't come by to pester two werewolves. If he had a pack, they would have accompanied him to the first contact. That was how wolves did these things. Still she sat up an sniffed the air filtering in from the vent at the top of the camper. Nothing unusual was nearby. She perked her ears to listen for challenging howls or sneaky paws, but heard nothing to cause alarm. She licked Ray's head again and snuggled closer to wait out the full moon.

Ray loved the fact that Katriel had licked his head again, maybe he didn't have anything to worry about? He resed his head on the bed and closed his eyes again. He truly did try to go to sleep, if only to waste time so he could speak again! He count sheep until eventually he allowed himself to slip into a dreamless sleep. With Katriel nearby he felt safe and no nightmares attacked him.

The next morning, Katriel woke slowly and stretched. She was human again, and still completely naked. She rested her head on the small of Ray's back, using him for a pillow. His broken arm was outstretched so nothing would bump it accidentally. He looked so sweet while he was asleep. She gently brushed his shaggy red hair out of his face so she could admire it a bit more. He had the makings of a good Alpha in him--the instinct to defend his territory and protect his pack, vigilance, loyalty--and he was pretty sexy too. Anticipating his embarrassment when he finally woke up, she pulled a sheet over the both of them. She got a good look at his bum at the same time, and had to smile. Now that the bruises and welts were mostly gone, she could see that it was cute and firm with well-shaped muscles, and she would have reached out and squeezed it if she wasn't certain it would scare the living daylights out of him. She settled for curling up next to him. Her finger absently traced random patterns on his shoulder while she watched him breathe. She considered breaking him out of the slave market one of her best decisions ever. Even if he didn't become the Alpha male and her mate, he was a wonderful companion.

Ray didn't want to wake up, he just didn't feel ready to face the day. His dreams were filled of what could have been if he had been allowed to enjoy his puppy stages of growth into adult dog hood. He dreamed that he was a puppy playing with butterflies and chasing bunnies while under the watchful eye of mother wolf. He always outstretched the arm that was broken, it was the way he normally slept. He could feel the small of his back being used as a pillow. He didn't know what Katriel really thought of him, for all he knew she could just liked having him around so he could protect her from other males. He did doupt this but still he wouldn't put it past her. He wiggled a bit when she moved his hair from his face, why would she do that? What would she see in him anyways? He knew nothing of being a proper wolf, he worried too much over nothing and besides he wasn't good enough for her! He thought he may as well try to be to become the Aplha Male until a stronger and better male came along and beat him for her. Besides he wasn't very good looking in his own opinion. He didn't even realise that he was naked, he was still half asleep. When his alpha covered his body with a sheet, he smiled slightly to himself. Regardless of his worries it was clear to him that she cared for him on some level. He sighed as she traced patterns on his shoulder before opening his eyes to look at her "Good morning beautiful" He whispered admiring her from where he lay.

"Good mooring, hansom," Katriel replied. Ray could be such a sweet talker, but she didn't mind. She couldn't keep her eyes from wandering over his naked torso. She liked what she saw. "How was your night?"

Hansom? he thought blinking rabidly, where did that come from? he thought that she needed her eyes testing as he wasn't exactly 'hansom'. He never noticed her wondering eyes. He kept own his to her face "My night was good because you were nearby" he smiled brightly, Katriel kept his nightmares away.

She stroked his face for a moment, taking the time to appreciate both his looks and the devotion she saw in his eyes. Her hand trailed down his neck, over his shoulder, and finally hooked around his waist. She snuggled closer, pushing her chest against his. "And my morning is wonderful because I woke up with such a stud in my bed," she half teased. It was wonderful to wake up to someone again. Even though American culture romanticized the "lone wolf," cold mornings alone were not her idea of paradise. Warm cuddly mornings like this were more her style.

Ray had shivered when her hand slid down his neck towards his waist, he didn't know what he was supposed to do now that she had her chest against his own. He made sure that his eyes didn't wonder to them (he didn't know if she'd be ok with him looking at her there) "I'm not much of a stud," he started to in response to what she herself had said "whatever a stud is" He liked waking up somewhere soft and in safe hands instead of either a cage or chained up and underneath a man of pure evil. Nature called to him at that point "Just of to the loo, ok?" he asked as he started to rise from the bed.

"You are a stud; a fine and sexy piece of masculine wolf flesh that any she wolf would kill to have in her bed," she insisted. Then she gave him a kiss on the cheek and let him her up to answer the call of nature.

Ray laughed quietly to himself as he went to the loo, he didn't believe her when she said he was a 'fine and sexy' nor did he believe that any 'she wolf would kill to have in her bed'. He was worth next to nowt (nothing)! Besides the she wolf would have to be trolleyed (extremely drunk) or bonkers (crazy) to think he was sexy in any way. As he was washing his hands he wondered to himself about the words he uses in his head, did Katriel know of them? "Hey Katriel is there a telly here?" he asked her highly cuirous.

"I used to," Katriel called from the bed. "But then it started emitting this high pitched squeal and I put my fist through the screen." She could tell by the look in his eyes that he didn't put to much faith in her compliments. He had probably been brainwashed into thinking he was less than dirt. She would have to do something about that. "How's your arm, by the way?"she asked as she got out of bed for her turn in the bathroom. She didn't bother covering up.

Blushing brightly Ray fought the urge to turn away, seeing as how he wasn't exactly covered, he knew there was very little point in being embarrassed now. "Oh I see" he said holding out his arm for her to look at, he made sure to keep his eyes from wondering "its getting better" he said as he moved out of her way. He started looking for his clothes at least to cover his 'bits'. He never liked being naked for too long.
