It moved like a rabid wolf, and like an animal, it drooled, snapped long fangs and tried to bite and tear, indiscriminately.

Unlike an animal however, it seemed to have no regard for its own safety, more concerned with drawing blood, scoring a bite and hanging on, than with avoiding the cuts to its arms and torso as it pursued Dagoth with an unnerving speed to keep up with his movements.

As Dagoth put what distance he could between them, he's find the enemy doing all it could to once again bring them in close, moving and weaving instinctively to lash out, scratch, tear, grab. And when it became frustrated, it attempted to take him off his feet, initially by trying to sweep his legs out from under him,a nd if that failed... a full on body tackle, regardless of any weapons brought up to stop it, or injuries it would receive.

Dagoth used the time they were dancing around at each other time build up some his magika reserves in his chest, he knew that the longer this dance went on the higher the chance was he was going to get flanked by the goons down stairs. When the beast got frustrated enough to charge for a tackle Dagoth went with it, he would look to us the tips of his axes to drive into the cainite’s shoulders. This would give him a perch during the tackle Dagoth was relying on whatever rage was driving it to be too distracting for thought. Looking down at the snaring, snapping and feral cainite Dagoth would belch flame onto his attacker, the idea being to cook everything down the middle. With a quickly time exhale a light blue flame would rush out from his lungs and mouth, the damage being healed up by the last of Roan’s blood in his system. The Pirate prayed the come down from that would be far less than whatever beating it would take to finish clearing this place out.

The wounds didn't seem to stop the feral cainite, indeed, he barely bled....

...but flame was another matter. It ended what it had started, leaving Dagoth with a pained, snarling visage like that of a rabid canine, yowling with furious pain as it turned to ash and rained down on him, eyes vanishing last.

The warehouse was quiet, save for the sounds of setting debris. Anyone who had felt brave enough to even think about coming up the stairs after the pirate had thought twice after hearing the inhuman yowl.
No one who worked here would call the police, but no doubt someone meaning well would do soon, especially as some items had caught fire during the melee, including the walls of the offices. Smoke set off alarms, and an old, unmaintained sprinkler system which flickered tiny specks of old, stale water at the walls with about as much effectiveness as a chocolate teapot before sputtering out completely, and leaving Dagoth alone in the mess he had single handedly caused.

The Pirate struggled to breath for a moment, that had been too close and had taken a lot out of him. He had expected even if he didn't show it to battle more normal goons and maybe some thralls of a cainite. This had been another cainite, the dusty death had proved that to him but it raised one very important question.

"Why sell drugs?"

Dagoth asked the question to what remained of the room whilst he got covered in a thin layer of old foul smelling water. He staggered towards what remained of a chair, flipped it over and slumped his aching body into it. He didn't move or say anything for the longest time, the Pirate was still awaiting a counter attack or some other gang showing up. Yet no one or no thing did, he finally got his breathing down to normal as the area around him started to be covered in flakes of his dark grey hide. Dagoth returned his axes back into their holders and reached inside of his armour. He pulled the small cell phone he bought when he first moved into Roan's home, flicking the device open he held down the one button and placed it against his ear. The Pirate would await the Mansion to pick up.

"Hello, please inform Roan mission completed."

Indeed, no retaliation came, though just as he picked up the phone, distant fire sirens could be heard coming slowly closer against the traffic of the evening.

Of course, it was Jan who picked up.

"Very good sir, will you require a pick up, or shall we see you presently?"

Total calm suffused his voice, even though he could hear how tired Dagoth sounded. At least the offer for a quick way home was there.

He thought about returning to the docks, seeing if he could speak with Peter again and perhaps get more information from him. The wave of exhaustion was massive and crushed him completely, Dagoth let a long sigh out.

"A pick up would be good, I will be behind the target two buildings down. Thanks Jan"

With that Dagoth closed the cellphone returning into the safety of his battered armour, the last of the grey hide had fallen from his body leaving behind a slight pool. The pirate turned and torched the whole office, if the fire trucks where looking for a fire to fight he would give them a good one. Moving as quickly as his tired limbs would take him Dagoth would move to the pick up spot.

"Tracking your phone now sir, I will be there in about 15 minutes. Move if you need to, I can trace you."

Hanging up, Jan went downstairs to the garage and selected the Lady DeSeer's Landrover. Normally used for driving over the grounds by the gardeners when necessary, it was also a good vehicle for blending in with every day traffic on the roads, especially as it was rarely kept as prestigiously clean as the other cars in the garage.

Fifteen minutes later, as the firefighters combated the blaze now clear to see over the roof of the next warehouse, Jan pulled up to the kerb, as if he was just another sightseer stopping to see the commotion before driving on. The passenger side door however, was unlocked.

Dagoth slide into the car with little difficulty, he made sure no one was looking when he did. The pirate was covered in gore, blood and soot he would have easily stood out unless he was careful. He looked at Jan giving the butler a respectful nod, he stifled a yawn before sliding further down in the passenger seat.

"Thanks for the pick up. I'm going to rest if you don't mind Jan. Exhausted does even scratch the surface."

With the he would close his eyes for the remainder of their journey, he would have his eyes closed and be napping gently but his body would still remain aware of what was happening around him.

"Rest well sir, we will be home shortly. I am glad you are relatively unscathed."

Jan drove carefully, but quickly through Durem, taking the back roads to avoid traffic and get home quicker.
In no time, gravel ground under the tires as they hit the drive, before dipping down into the darkness of the garage.

Gently touching Dagoth;s shoulder, Jan would open his door for him, and nod to the elevator at the back.

"She is on the third floor sir, however should you need rest first."

Night time Durem was busy as ever on the high street, pubs and clubs pounding out heavy music, men and women decorating street corners and late night off-licenses in various states of taste and obscenity.

But for Corbin, he would be headed away from the night life hub into the more cultural back end of the central area, where the museum of natural history and cultural art lay.
At this time of night, the boulevard leading up to the museum was quiet and softly lit, the car park empty save for the vehicles of the night staff protecting the rare and valuable treasures within.

In short, save for the wind in the trees lining the drives, the three story building was silent and still as the dead.

He had given the bike up a half a kilometer from the mansion, leaving it parked to walk the rest of the way to the museum and take in the sights of the area, including the stores and once there, did a casual stroll around the perimeter. Far enough away to not be seen by the security cameras, as they'd be angled down rather than outward to the horizon no doubt. He'd however be able to see where they lay, and also see the vehicles in the parking lot to get a small grasp on the number of staff present.

He'd then after a full lap come to discretely hide in a tree near the back entrance, waiting, and surveying for a full hour. Perhaps he would get lucky, and get the chance to sneak up closer as one of the night staff entered. If it was a lock that required a code, he'd get the chance to memorize it. If it used a key or swipe card, he'd have to then perhaps try and cloak himself and enter along with the employee. He'd gauge that chance if and when it arose.

The back entrance did indeed require a swipe card, however by waiting and observing, Corbin would see the cleaning staff arrive to do their work before tomorrows crowds arrived.

There was plenty of time to sneak in between them bringing in the equipment they needed, leaving Corbin in the darkened narrow hallfs of the rear service areas of the exhibits. an arrow indicated that the Egyptian exhibits lay to the left, and dinosaurs off to the right.

Presumably human janitorial staff. No challenge there he barely had to use Chimerstry at all to slip by them and into the building between their trips to cart in cleaning gear. Since his last mission however, he'd learned something. security cameras were NOT, his best friend. Thus, he'd have to deal with them at some point.

For now though, it was enough that he could keep his face hidden. As for his left arm, the markings frequently moved, so they could never be identified conclusively by humans.

Once inside the hallway, he opted for the path to the Egyptian exhibit, as it was likely closer to the Greek displays than the bloody Dinosaurs.

Ten points to logic, the reasoning was sound and as Corbin came out of a back end door into the main exhibit hall, a map of the building would prove him right. The Greek display was on the second floor, at the far western end of the building.
Getting there would involve crossing the Egyptian exhibit to the staircase on the far side, then passing through the archaeology display on the next floor up.

Both of these rooms had extensive camera coverage, plus a drawn and locked metal grill on the next floor up, preventing access to the west end as the archaeology display included the items dug up in a celtic treasure trove, most of which were made of gold.

It was a good chance that silent alarms were in operation, not to mention the fact the security staff would be patrolling the halls somewhere around here.

Balls, he'd have to think to himself. He'd have to cross that much space to get to the greek exhibit? He already guessed there would be dividing security walls between rooms. And he had a world of other security tricks and traps in the back of his mind on constant cycle. A fair few he thought too extravagant for a mere museum. Then again, if the items he saw detailed in each exhibit on the map were as valued as he suspected they might just be in practical use. Then there was the fact that Ice had given him this mission, and while less than pleased t'boot. He'd already concluded it a fair chance there were staff present that weren't human, or at the very least, there was SOMEthing exceptional about the building.

Chances were he'd find out soon enough.

As he pondered these things however he then started to wonder just what Ice wanted with this urn. What was it's worth? What secrets did it hold?

None.

He concluded that it was equally likely that this was a standard museum staffed by mere humans and secured with conventional systems. Further more, the urn was worth nothing more than a pretty ash tray to the trotting b*****d. Everything was a test, Roan had taught him that and it remained true in all things whether she was involved or not. Besides, she had to have learned to work that way from someone, or something. Who's to say it wasn't from interaction with Ice?

Regardless, he'd operate with the belief that this building was likely staffed by at least ONE creature not human.

Thus, keeping out of sight of the cameras he could see while looking at the map and pondering this whole time, he'd take note of the guards, and cross the Egyptian hall with Celerity. Cameras could see through his illusions and so it was more important to focus on moving faster than they could track in real time, rather than being invisible. That said however, he couldn't just race across the floor, ignorant of the types of alarm systems that existed. Not to mention, a blur passing over a series of cameras viewing a consecutive area experiencing a blur in order would cause interest from a guard paying enough attention. Thus, he'd wait for his chance, and instead of crossing the hall on foot, he'd use Potence to launch himself at an angle at the wall, then use Celerity to keep the locomotion going, bouncing off the walls like a pin ball till he reached the far side, and he avoided the stairs all together.

Bouncing off the wall onto the second floor, illusory cover ready to be drawn should a guard appear, he examined the grill seperating access to the Archaeology display, staying out of the angle of cameras.

If he were to man handle it, there would be evidence of it after, even IF it didn't set off an alarm.

Security did rounds, thus, they'd likely need to access all areas of the building. This meant they either had another means of going from exhibit to exhibit, or they would at some point open the grill. So he'd wait, keeping out of the angle of cameras in a corner, utilizing his Chimerstry to hide only when staff came near. He'd watch, and observe. Even if he couldn't see how they went from hall to hall, he'd try and notice a pattern, and perhaps, where they went on break, and more importantly to the grill perhaps, discern where the security control room was.
