The Shade crossed his arms. Picking up a stick he drew a Pokeball in the dirt. Then made a big X over it. This meant he was not a trainer's Pokemon an had no desire to be. Then he drew the number 9 next to it. He was not a baby, he was 9 years old. Then he pretended to steal a branch nearby before putting it and the stick down. His Thick Bone was stolen.

"Doooooo youuuuu understaaaaaand?" The Shade asked, sarcasm in his words as he spoke very slowly for the humans.

Frowning slightly, Nolan was starting to think this whole situation was just silly as well as aggravating. Judging solely on the Cubone's tone of voice, Nolan could guess that the Lonely pokemon wanted to be just that ... alone. But only once the Cubone set a few things straight. Then after that? If Kiera wanted to play Mr. Mime with a pokemon, that was fine by him, but Nolan was feeling more vulnerable than he liked with all three of his pokemon on the verge of exhaustion. 'The pokecenter is like literally a five minute walk from here. I'll just risk it, what's the worst that can happen?'

Famous last words.
"I'll ... catch up with you later, Kiera. I need to get my pokemon healed, and I don't know how long this will take. I'll be ... right back."
Nolan wasn't too sure he did want to come back to attempt to help the surly Cubone. But Kiera would probably get worried about him.
"Actually, I think I might go try the gym if there's no one else waiting in line. And if my pokemon are up to it."

"Teleport?"
Nolan didn't like the sound of that. The last time he had thrown up, and he didn't know why a Teleport did that to him. Maybe there were just some people more sensitive to the space-bending, mind-melting, physics-breaking jump back into the city on the coat-tails of a Psychic pokemon. Nolan felt queasy just thinking about it and his stomach lurched.
"No, no, it's really not that far. I can walk it myself just fine. I really appreciate it, Zeus, really, but you don't have to."

Trying to be friendly to the Abra floating over to him, Nolan patted Zeus gingerly, and he could have sworn he saw the Abra smirk when the both of them suddenly Teleported. The next thing Nolan knew, he was in the heart of Blyse, and got ran into by someone just barely walking out of the pokecenter.
"S-sorry ..."
He stumbled aside, and the poor guy that bumped into Nolan seemed equally befuddled at trainers coming out of no where. Nolan paused, gulping down big lungfuls of air. Happily, for now, it seemed Nolan was going to keep his stomach's contents down, and he looked at the Abra askance. But Zeus seemed to be asleep again, although, he was still uncannily following the human. Kind of dizzy, but no worse for wear, Nolan just sighed and walked into the pokecenter, handing over his pokeballs to the nurse behind the counter.

He was seriously considering making his gym challenge now. Nolan knew he had to, and it could cost him to delay much longer. When he got Valor's, Twill's, and Hippopotas's pokeballs back, he went to the PC again. This time to withdraw Snivy, Nincada, and Honor from the 'box' he was assigned in the Lab. Dosu would just have to wait. Nolan hoped his Magikarp didn't take that personally, and with a full six again, he steeled himself for the walk to the Blyse City Gym.

"I better not level you too much." She told the blue dragonfly. "You might stop listening to me because you're strong. Just one more level for you bucko!" Kiera laughed and kept walking with her pokemon minus Zeus. She hoped Nolan was doing a good job at the gym. Kiera looked behind some bushes and found...another Eevee! Jupiter sniffed the wild Eevee and they played around. "Maybe I should catch you. Eevee are so rare and such good pokemon. I don't know." Kiera sighed. "I could have all Eevee if I kept catching them! Except, what I really want is an ancient pokemon."

Kiera decided not to catch the wild Eevee. She looked over at the Shade and shrugged. "I really don't think there are any bones out here. There are plenty over in the Ruins but they're very old. They're rock actually!" She looked around again. "Do you know where your bone went?"

She spotted another Oddish walking by and she looked at Cubone to see if the Oddish bothered him. She knew that Ground types were weak to Grass. maybe Oddish stole his bone.

None of Kiera's other pokemon were so talkative. She could tell there really was something bothering this wild Cubone and she wished she knew how to find out. She watched the Shade for awhile and noticed that he was looking at the wild Eevee more. So maybe Oddish really weren't a problem at all. They were nice pokemon anyway unless they were Vileplume spreading their spores. "Hmm we could do questions! You can nod for yes and shake your head for no. Is that okay?" Kiera waited for an answer and also asked, "Do you know where your bone is right now?"

"That's so sad." Kiera frowned and sat down on the grass. Jupiter and Brutus were out of their PokeBalls and sat on either side of her. Kiera was thinking. There had to be something she could do for the Cubone and maybe she already thought of it! "Maybe we could really go look in the Ruins to find you a new bone after all. Oh but I'm not allowed there because I'm an official trainer now. I hope Nolan gets his badge and then you could go with him sooner. I should try soon too! I bet I'll win with my pokemon! Is that a good plan, Cubone?"

"I didn't mean right now!" Kiera got up quick to follow the Cubone. Brutus barked at Jupiter, sarcastically saying, "Look who thinks he's part of the team." Jupiter scolded him with a wag of her fluffy tail and said to Shade, "Ignore him. He's threatened by anyone stronger than him." Brutus growled again and didn't say anything. Kiera wondered what her pokemon were saying to each other and felt left out. If there was a machine that could translate that would be priceless. "Do you want me to challenge the gym right now Cubone? I bet I can do it!"
