"Horsemen aren't the only ones who feed pictures meant to give a certain impression, though. I mean....." she frowned, "Lo an behold, the second the Four Clans showed interest in Amityville our social stigma vanished into the wind."
Their reputation seemed to rely on the 'H' words.
However, when Chuppi mentioned the origin of the hunter's weapons, Shehk actually made a point to go 'SHHH!' as if it wasn't something she should have been sharing. After Red's death and all of that fiasco? She wasn't really trustful of those outside of the school.
"The humans with the glowing weapons don't have any power. Just weapons. That's all they need to have" Clearly, the wall of what Shehk felt should have been shared with people from outside of the school was starting to be hit. After all, those who were in different schools had different perspectives looking in on their school than they did looking on it from experience inside.
She wasn't about to open up judgment on the academy - or their information, even - to strangers. It wasn't that she wanted to throw them to the dogs. It was simply that they wouldn't understand their cause like anybody who had been at the school for at least a year would have.

Chuppi's face paled, her green skin turning a shade of olive rather than its usually mossy shade, and she buried her face into Shehk's side as she quickly voiced her apologies. "Lo siento, lo siento! Forgive, I am so sorry please do not be hating of me!" Her quills trembled against her back and her last words were a whisper. "I forget myself, do not hate please. I will say no more, maybe it is all in my head? I only speak of what I saw from the trials and even then I am wrong."
She turned and looked at the female reaper, her face still ashen. "I am mistaken, only repeating rumors. Do not believe what I am saying."

Shehk brushed Chuppi's hair from her face, cradling the girl in her arms.
She spoke quietly to the Chupacabra so that only she could hear: "Be careful with what you share with those from outside of our school. Remember what happened after Red's death? We do not want to rile up that again." she explained, but she didn't sound like she was chiding Chuppi for speaking as she had.

That was interesting. Shenny knew this type of awkward situation of accidentally sharing something that wasn't mean to be shared. She didn't need anything else, since she got it: Hunters were a special type of humans, perhaps, soldiers, or literally hunters who possess no special power, but a power to use fear-based creatures as their weapons. That's why their weapons were glowing! The ghoul thought there was something familiar in that glow; perhaps, it were fear particles? " I don't expect you to trust me", she nodded to pricolici and chupacabra. " So, don't feel embarrassed. Being you, I wouldn't trust myself, or anyone not from your school". Shenny hoped she sound reasonable enough. " Though, some information you have might be vital for the surviving, for all of us, especially those not from Amityville. Especially, when we are here: guests at the Four clans, guests that could easily become hostages. So, if you think there anything, just a slightest detail, that can be important, I'd appreciate, if you express it. Please, try to understand me: I'm not from Amityville, and I don't want anything from Amityville, though I want to survive", Shenny put her best smile addressing Shehk. Jack, how else could she get information?.. Information, that can save the life.

The fae was thankful to the reaper girl to bring up this sort of discussion; and thought that it was good they followed her there,at the temple; now that was the easiest way to squeeze out the necessary information, especially for those who were not originally from Amityville. 'Did anyone spend the first week at the War camps? Did anyone know if the horseman are strong in battle, and do their powers differ?- they ventured to speak. 'Were there ever any confrontations between the Halloweeners and the Clans?'

Shehk was not one to suddenly become angry, but as the information was pried for, the Pricolici went from being calm to suddenly growing belligerent, baring the tiniest hint of her fangs. What she had said to Chuppi had been for her ears and now these strangers were prying!
"No. You guys from outside of Amityville ostracized us for knowing what we know. We were publicly shamed in the papers, in the news, and all of us at Amityville were labeled and liars[/]. I have no reasons to trust people from outside who only suddenly opened back up to our school when the Horsemen announced they were showing an interest in us."
She was frowning by this point in time, but every point she made was something that had been feeding into her nerves.
She was putting her foot down to the prying.
"The isle of War was as peaceable as a place named 'War' can be. They did not purposely lead us into any danger we did not ask for ourselves." she added with a huff, shoving her phone into her pocket and then moving to leave.
She normally wasn't so angry, but she could only hold so much in after it piling on for so long.[[Exit]]

The fae was bewildered. 'Is there anything I missed?' they addressed Shenny, dropping their polite forms for the sake of urgency, and then turned to Chuppi: 'Do you hate us for not being part of Amityville?' - they said imploringly, trying to sound as humourous as possible.

Chuppi's face paled as her only shield against these questions stormed out and if it were possible then the normally green-skinned monster would have been an albino. She shook her head at the questioning Fae and she frowned at the female Reaper, her face not angry but rather sad and weary. She was not to take sides, she wouldn't take sides, and she bowed her head at both of them before opening her mouth to speak.
"I was of the asking to not say anything more. I tell secrets too easily, it is not my place. Please forgive me, but I am to depart before I spread the rumors further." She bowed again and turned to look at the others, finally deciding to answer one last question before she left. "I do not hate you, we are all of Halloween. Please, be excusing of me."
And with that the little monster exited, following Shehk as best she could.

That once again proved to Shenny why didn't she like the company of fellow boils and ghouls of her age. Most of them were hyperemotional. First, that tiger ghoul, now the pricolici who seemed to look so calm and reasonable! Jackdammit! They might be a single moment away from a grave danger, and they are thinking only about their school, as if being enrolled made them jacking Elite. All right, but as Medea said, all paths lead to the same end, so when you're fighting and falling it doesn't really matter which school have you been attending to. Shenny, however, had to admit Shehk was correct about outsiders' sudden interest in Amityville after horsemen appearance. But well... what's bad about being pragmatical?
"I hope we won't get a chance to test it and find an answer to your question", she nodded to the Fae and turned away to exit. Well, she was hyperemotional herself, unfortunately.

Calder was sitting in a chair, head back and hair sprayed about as he listened to the debate of what could be, what might be, what it seemed to be, and trying to find a kernel of solid truth they could all agree upon. There was a lot of talk, a lot of opinion, a good dash of distrust, and hesitation to voice other opinions due to suspicion. He noticed a few people leaving, scared off or desiring other choices of conversation.
Calder let out a long whistle.
"Talkin about hunters. You know you're not in Amityville when there isn't a Boogeyman around to glare at you." He yawned. "Don't see why we can't talk about it here. Considering that we all fought a set of hunter images during that second door. Can't say 'Forget that' after you had to go through with it."
He brushed his bangs back.
"There is no right or wrong opinions where when you look at it. Even if we are shown images, that doesn't mean you have to take them. It's like the old saying goes, 'You can lead a horse to water, but only a fool drinks without checking the source.'" (Calder's version was a bit more wordy than the traditional.) "See it. Digest it. I hope everyone doesn't take everything they see and here as fact. I also don't think we're going to be captured here. With all the media on the Horsemen trials. Not showing up would cause a few raised eyebrows. I know my pa would be up in hooves over it. Rip a few good throats."
He sat up, rubbing his shoulders where the stiff floor had knotted them up.
"Don't think we're on their side either. We had to go through a mess of trouble just to impress them. That does not mean friends or buddies to me. We're tolerated and taught. If they wanted an army to fight other clans, I think the would pick a group a bit more experienced. We'd all be licked under just a handful of clansmen of any tribe, I reckon. If Death wants us to fight, which I didn't even see but why not address it, then I don't see why they haven't tried sooner? I don't get a internal war vibe between the islands, but who knows what their politics are like. They could be at each other's throats for all we knew, but I don't see us being a key factor in having anyone win if they want us for that."
He leaned back in the chair again, closing his eyes. "Nahh. I think they want to show that we've come here to fight and kill humans as much as they want to kill us, but we shouldn't get overzealous because we need to keep a balance. Funny that a member of the Horsemen clans, bringers of the Apocalypse, would be warning not to end the human race." He puzzled over it. There could be lies, but he was still digesting.
"Ugh. My shoulders hurt from that floor."

Shun had remained quiet for a bulk of the discussion. They were starting to go in circles here and he felt no need to give out more information than he already did. It was true, prior to when they had favor of the horsemen, the school had a strong stigma about it. People were taking their kids out of the school because of all the lies and whatnot. It just showed that the general public could not handle this sort of information.
And quite frankly, he was perfectly fine with handling it in the shadows. Less attention that way.
But in any case, things were starting to get a little heated. Shaking his head, he ran his hand through his hair before glancing at Calder. It was more along the lines of his personal views on the matter. He didn't particularly sense any sort of facade being placed up when dealing with them. They were simply laying things out for them to interpret however. All in all, he wasn't ready or willing to go 'this is what is going on behind the scenes'.
"I'm not sure how many of us would want to eliminate them as a whole. I wouldn't mind slaying all of the hunter, but not the entire race," he said casually.

"If we kill all of the Hunters, though, wouldn't that leave the rest of the humans with absolutely no protection whatsoever? You saw how easily they...and we could kill the regular humans." Kemnebi piped up. she had been watching the debate, unsure of her own opinion. She was starting to really distrust all of the horsemen.
But what Medea had said. That all paths lead to the same result...that made her feel overly helpless. As if no matter what she or anyone else did nothing would ever change.

"Unfortunately, the hunters seek to eliminate us. Halloween has Deth to protect the rights of the humans," Shun said lowly. Though, seeing how most of the public didn't even believe in Hunters in the first place, he had his doubts of how well others would understand just how much of a threat that particular sect of humans were.
It was because of the Hunters, after all, that drove him to want to kill any of them in the first place.

Olivia was feeling awkward just sitting there as the other were yelling at one another. So much information was being passed about, accusations, assumptions. So many heated words and outbursts.
Several of them left from the discussion. She was not aware of so much they had said to one another and she was curious if these were just some other words she was not meant to hear. The ghoul was just as confused as the fae at first and only put at ease as Calder voiced his opinions.
But Olivia remained silent, her eyes catching Willow enter back into the dorms with her phone in her hands. The pale ghoul sighed, pushing herself further back upon her bed and pulled her knees up to her chest. So confusing.
