Marth looked again at her leg before saying "the pain should pass about now, sooner if you weren't trying to pick a fight."

Kalika just shook her head. The pain never went away. It bothered her every day but she said nothing.

Marth said "the nerves in your leg are slow at healing, although that could be because you never stayed still for long enough for them to mend some. This farm life has help your leg some but not much." He was sure her leg was getting better, though how he had knew that he wasn't sure about.

Kalika frowned but nodded. She didn't think she could walk just yet though. It was still hurting her just to stand. The bandits had almost cut clean through her leg that day, they had even cut through the bone. If her dad hadn't come when he had she wouldn't have a right leg.

Marth replied "Why wouldn't I care?" He was unsure was it was about her, but he knew he could let her throw her life away.

Kalika frowned even more. She wasn't sure really what to think of him. "Most people wouldn't care about a poor farm girl," she said slowly, turning to face him.

Marth gave a small laugh before saying "I thought you was more than a farm girl." He got her back inside and then sat her down on the couch.

Kalika shook her head. What she really wanted was to figure him out but she couldn't seem to do that. She also wanted something else but didn't understand why she wanted it. She wanted him to kiss her again but she didn't know why.

"Alright" Marth said before grabbing a chair to sit in. "We will wait about an hour or so" He added quietly.

Kalika sighed. She was still trying to figure him out but failing. She didn't really know what to say now. Her mind was drifting back to that kiss.
