"A mission." he stated. "Some ******** horseman attacked us on a theme park mission. Got Clerise. Then it got me. Allan saved our asses." he hated admitting he'd had to be saved again.
"And I don't even know if it can be fixed. It was like...acid s**t. Right down to the ******** bone. Mostly scar tissue now. If it wasn't for Tracey I could have lost my arm. "

"Yeah...yeah, let's go get ready--Reine!"
Eva was startled by the sudden hug, but she hesitated for only a second before giving her friend a tight squeeze back. When she pulled back, she flashed the girl a warm--if not rather anxious--smile. "Be safe, Reine." God forbid that something happen to her during this mission. A part of her wanted to follow after her friend, to keep an eye on her and ensure that nothing like the last mission would happen again, but...
When Otto came around, Eva was quick to give him a hug too, squishing their puppy especially tightly. She was nervous, and that was obvious.
For good measure, Jude got a big hug too. Suddenly, she was in a very huggy mood, and the urge to go over to the others and throw her arms around them in an affectionate squeeze was almost overwhelming.

A horseman had attacked them? Is... is that what had happened, where Sasha's burns had come from? Jerry's stomach did a back flip and for a moment, that distant look flickered in his eyes again, but he swallowed it. "I... I sh-should... I should just..." Go say goodbye, "T-touch base with... with a few people..." He mumbled to his Sunny Friends, but already he was scanning for any sight of her. There. Speaking to Robert. His lips pursed. he shouldn't interrupt, he didn't need to start the mission with a black eye. Even so, time was of the essence. Allan was going to escort them out soon enough... he needed... he needed to just talk to her for a moment.

Good to go. If he'd had a dagger like Dakota, maybe. Or pistols. Or something that was not an enormous axe.
Caelius had said they needed to look disorganized. Allan had been encouraging, but hadn't briefed them. Harrison was getting the sinking feeling that the trainee job assignment here was more bodies.
He gripped B0nez main handle.
"It's good you healed up quick," was all he could bring himself to say.

"Glad you're okay," Jordan said, suppressing the impulse to ask further. Later. He followed Jerry's line of sight to Sasha, and the corners of his eyes tightened a little; he said, "Go on, we're going to be going soon."

Ofelia had been listening in, taking mental notes as best she cold. She was tired, weary, and there wasn't anything she really needed to say or want to say. Part of her was super excited about this being a mission, no more sitting around, but most of her was still recovering from being placed in a coma and getting put down for rest by a certain fellow Sun hunter. Speaking of that fellow hunter she spotted him and another, prompting her to limp over with a lopsided smile on her face.
"Rep, Jordan. Howdy." Her voice was breathy, a whisper. "Are ya ready fer this?" Ofelia sure as hell didn't look ready for it - she still had bandages from her time in the infirmary across her chest.

He awkwardly hugged back like had done for Reine before her. He let her go and stared over at Otto quietly, "You'll be fine." He said simply with a little bit of confidence in his tone to try and soothe the other young man within his proximity.
There was a small pause before Jude started to wander so he could go about getting ready so they could go when the time came. Headset? Check. At least one runic equipment? Check. Trapgun might be useful. Might not.
For the most part Jude was in quiet mode as he prepped himself up.

"Yep. I'd ******** hate to be stuck in bed while this s**t goes down. I want to be out there fighting alongside everyone else." The idea of just having to just sit there while word came in of casualties..fatalities. No way could he have done it.
He did notice Jerry's distraction, at least the direction of it and couldn't disagree with him. He'd likely be making good with his friends too, if most of them weren't already here.
And then there was Ofie. And the guilt was almost impossible to stand all over again.
"H..Hey." Oh god don't ask her what happened to her, he thought.

As the others stepped away to their own groups, Aleister stayed near Wilson. When the leaders showed up and spoke Aleister suddenly had a very bad sinking feeling. A realization of something he should've done but got too caught up in trying to read up on what he could of signs and things to do.
"Wilson......." He said slowly with a hint of worry in his voice. ".... I never got clearance for a runic weapon." He was biting his lower lip as he looked around at the rest of the groups. He'd taken a headset when it was offered to him but other than that he stood there looking a little... pale. "What should I do?"

Sasha's response had Robert's grin reaching epic proportions of gaiety. (stfu) He laughed and wrapped his arm around her middle, giving her a squeeze before letting her go. "That's my girl! And you just watch, as soon as we're all back home, safe and sound, everybody's going to be all, ohhh, look at my new scar, I'm so big and tough, touch me on my scar Sasha touch me~" His voice had turned ridiculous as he made fun of.. who even knew who he was trying to imitate, at this point. He turned somber - but it was clear that this time, his sobriety was fake. "And that's when you said NO, Sasha. No means no."

Eva's hug wasn't returned, but it wasn't struggled against. All these well wishes and tight hugs. He knew that this mission may just be their last. Maybe he was over thinking it, but the heavy atmosphere that hung in the air could not be ignored. Even Jude's assurance that he'd be okay did not sink in for the boy. Everything felt wrong. Not only that, they were going to that place where he took his first mission. The place he remembered as Murder Lake. Just a sea of bodies... Otto sighed heavily and made his way to get his headset and gear.

He smiled wryly. "Not me. Heh. Got out of sub duty, anyway." If he'd been in the infirmary, he would have milked it for all it was worth to stay there. He'd stayed accident-free the past few months, and it had been a while since he'd come limping out of anywhere covered in blood.
He was probably due.
Another Sun. She hadn't even had time to scar.
He wasn't sure why it bothered him so much.

There had been someone else with them, two people to be exact, and apparently Ofelia had enough of a tunnel vision that she hadn't noticed. Giving a bob of her head to Jerry and Harrison, she grinned weakly at the pair before trying to shift her weight again. "Oh, howdy ta ya as well. Sorry, guess Ah'm tunnel-vision ta people Ah'm knowin'."
Man she ached - being stuck in a bed for about a week or so really wore out the body.

"Well, yeah. It helps if you keep others alive too but in the event that you're alone you shou--" Candace as struck speechless by Molly's kind words. So selfless. What a good, good girl. She was glad she'd been able to help Molly. At least she helped one person. She fully intended on seeing each and every trainee when they returned.
Molly reached for her shaking hand and Candace tensed, though she didn't draw away. She swallowed hard and inhaled deeply, blinking and staring down at Molly as she began to sing.
Sh..she was singing at a time like this. That was ridiculous. She was singing when everyone was sullen and gloomy and trying to accept the inevitable. It was something Candace expected from Jerry, something she'd heard him do earlier as well! She laughed, freeing her hands from her pockets and throwing her arms around Molly in a tight hug. She was shaking, laughing quietly into the girl's shoulder and hiding her face against her. They'd be okay. They'd be okay. They'd be okay.

Sasha gave Robert a rather adoring look as he goofed off, the smile faltering for just a moment as she recalled her own quickly-fading burns. They were mottled, now, along her neck and just long her hairline. She was glad they were disappearing. It was easier to forget their origin when they weren't dark against the stark paleness of her skin.
"Oh, Robert," her fingers fluttered idly at her neck before she gently patted his arm. "Thanks. For .. for making me smile. I'm glad you're coming."
She fidgeted for a moment with her phone. Maybe she should text Jerry? Her gaze scanned the crowd for a brief moment, Sasha's expression brightening in wattage when she spotted him.
"Oh, there's Jerry!"
