Alba shrugged his right shoulder, neither confirming nor denying Inigo's question on if Alba was okay or not. He was fine enough for now, he could freak out tonight after they all got back to base safely. "Sure enou-WOAH!" Alba hunched when he spotted the purple blur of the spinning Starmie coming in the general direction of his FACE, yanking Inigo down by the arm to the same height as well. It was a close miss, where did it go-
Oh shoot! Sager! "Hazel! Need a Double Kick over here!" The Deerling craned her neck in the direction of her trainer's voice, and hopped back around the corner to see what was going on. Seeing the Starmie and the damage it was trying to cause, Hazel ran forward after it with a cry.

Star's eyes twitched across the room as Faleen shouted at him. Pokémon. Right. What was he thinking he couldn't just stand here he had to fight. His eyes left the battle as he reached for the first ball on his belt. Before he could release Scream the room spun. Something had grabbed the back of his coat and lifted him completely off his feet. Panicked, two sets of metal claws raked against the Starmie's arm.
Whether the gashes the claws raked through the Starmie's tough exterior were the reason for what happened next or not was up for debate, but the Pokemon flinging him across the battlefield like a cat off a ceiling fan was not. Neither was the flaming moth directly in his path.
Being tossed over a Rocket/Galactic battlefield and headfirst into a volcarona was not high on Star's list of things to do today. Nevertheless, it happened. On impact he imagined this was what being thrown onto a stovetop would feel like.
Singed and dizzy, he landed in a heap on the floor beneath the moth and back on the wrong side of the fight, alarmingly close to Tethys. He lifted his head and, eyes wide, struggled to scramble back to his feet. "Commander w-wait just-" In his panic he managed to run all of two steps before his metal boots slipped on the steam-slick floor and deposited him on the ground again. "I know this looks bad but you have to let me explain! I'm not even on their side this is just a big misunderstanding!!"
Tethys didn't look like she was in the mood for explanations. She took aim at one spindly leg and fired just before Neph's string shot zipped her gun toward the ceiling. Star probably wasn't in a position to appreciate the look of surprise that briefly crossed the commander's face as she jerked her head up. Tethys shrugged and drew its twin.
Star shrieked as the bullet punched a hole in calf of his right boot. In the moment bought by Tethys' distraction one of the pokéballs at the roboticist's hip popped open of its own accord. A tiny starly appeared, flapping in front of the man on the floor and settled eyes on Tethys. "Star?"
The woman's eyes were hard and dark as she raised her gun. "Move, Sky."
Sky's eyes widened. He looked at the bleeding man on the floor, then back at Tethys. The little bird's expression tightened. "STARLY STAR!!!" With no need for orders, Sky performed his first attack on Star's behalf by way of a surprisingly powerful Wing Attack to Tethys' face, then looked back at the man on the floor "Star!!"
Eyes wide, Star nodded and struggled to his feet before shoving back into the crowd, dodging attacks as he limped past friend and foe. Sky followed, aiming quick and wing attacks at passing Galactics.
A furious "IAN!" followed after him.

"I'm fine.. I'm fine.." Holding her side, TRP pushed away from Axel, who resumed roasting a nearby Jolteon.
Meanwhile, Mise's Constrict caught the Starmie and dragged it down - a bad move, as it fired an Ice Beam directly at the Spinarak and Arcadie.
The Breloom's Substitute shattered on Acier's second attack, leaving it exposed to Char's Flame Burst and Charmant's Flamethrower. "Briiii!" it shrieked, badly burnt, and coughed out a puff of Spores at the enemy Pokemon before disappearing to the safety of its Pokeball.
Somewhere in the middle of the fight a Galactic Houndoom and Pignite had turned on their own team thanks to some of the confusion attacks coming form Spook and Trick. Unfortunately this drew further attention to the ghosts, who were soon the focus of a solar beam from an enemy Meganium.
All around the room Galactic pokémon were being successfully seeded by Hazel and Inigo's whimsicotts. It seemed to be slowing them down, but there were so many it was hard to see a big impact just yet.
The Jolteon at the mean end of Hirss's Ice Fang attack gave an echoing shriek and shot static electricity in all directions.
Another Jolteon went down at the hands of Pinkie's fire spin, but a Vaporeon was right behind it to retaliate with hydro pump.
Caught in Hypnosis, the Volcarona's consciousness began to fade as another Power Gem shattered against its body.

Meanwhile, the injured group heading upstairs would find the next level thankfully deserted. With all the focus on the Rocket presence on Deck L, nearby decks were quiet.
Lore was doing his best to assist anyone who needed it while staying upright himself as he and his teammates hurried across the ship, "Y'know.. what this place really needs.." He panted, "Are moving walkways..." Wheeze, "Cause that'd be cool.."
As the mangled group turned a corner they very literally ran right into a lone Galactic who'd been rounding the same corner, running in the opposite direction. Said Galactic bounced off of Frost, stumbled and landed on the floor. A small green ball of fuzz sailed off his shoulder and landed several yards way.
They'd just run into Deimos. And he was alone.

Frost had just been turning to tell Lore he was ridiculous when he bounced off somebody. There weren't any Rockets in front of him and so as he turned to see who it was he was already raising his gun.
For just a moment the usually impassive man looked shocked. His brain kicked back in quickly however and with his finger hovering over the trigger of his pistol he addressed the other rockets. "Surround him quickly! The shaymin can't use Seed Flare without striking him too if we're all around him. As for you, Deimos, if you move one muscle or scream I will blow your kneecaps off. Is that perfectly clear?"

Ugh, stairs. Why did there have to be stairs? With some effort, the Ponyta managed to stumble up them without dropping her charge, but came to an abrupt halt as the small Galactic suddenly appeared. Who was...? Nevermind, it wasn't important who he was, just that he was an enemy with a pokemon. With that in mind, she moved forward and aimed a Flame Wheel at Andre.
-----
Acier was caught up in the chaos of battle until the Breloom disappeared, at which point he noticed Revenant and Charmant join him -- and the look on his face could only be described as pure joy. He looked like he was about to hug one of them until a spare jolt of electricity from one of the Jolteons hit him and he grunted his displeasure. Roaring was too loud, and it was loud enough in here already. Still, it was enough to remind him of his previous orders, so he once again launched himself at Tethys, horns glowing white from his Iron Head attack.
When the Mismagius and Arcanine joined Acier, Inigo had to do a double take before he realized the reasoning besides just helping each other out. That was Revenant and Charmant with Acier...
The look on his face was suddenly distant and vaguely sad, and for a brief moment he was somewhere else entirely. The gentle chime of a bell quickly brought him back though as Oriana nestled on his shoulder again, awaiting further instructions now that the fire-bug was quickly losing consciousness. "Uh.. Hypnosis, on as many Galactics as you can." That way they couldn't call out anymore pokemon to battle.
The Chimecho chimed her acknowledgment before hovering over the battle and aimed a Hypnosis again, this time at any nearby Galactics she could see.
Inigo moved forward to touch the backs of both his Whimsicotts. "Take down that Starmie, huh?" He asked, and received salutes from the pair before they both aimed a combined Megadrain at the Starmie.

Aulus - whose brain was no longer working especially well - stared like an idiot for a few moments when the purple haired leader of Team Galactic appeared. "Wha?"
"Oh. Great. Always wanted to be a human shield," he puffed, out of breath from the quick sprint up the stairs. A month of inactivity hadn't done his body any favors. Neither had the food.
Shaking himself Aulus moved unsteadily to take a position in the circle, deciding that maybe he wouldn't make a joke about how human shielding wasn't so bad when you got used to it. "Think I should have Paul tie him up?" he asked with a glance over at his partner.
Hayes was moving forward, not quite as quickly as Frost would have liked but it was all he had on offer. "Like five minutes ago." Hearing such plans, Switch paused in the act of getting ready to leap from his shoulder.
Aulus nodded, and was about to give Paul instruction when he noticed the Spinarak was already in the process of binding the Galactic leader from shoulder to ankle. Apparently he was reeeeally slow today, either that or Paul was a lot brither than he generally gave him credit for.

Zack backed away from the Volcarona so as not to get burnt then sent a Flame Wheel at the nearest enemy pokemon.
Conrad could see other pokemon attacking the Starmie but Xander had said to go after it so he joined in with another Trump Card, this one slightly more powerful then the last.
~
Xander looked at the person that had ran into Frost then moved to help surround him like the agent had ordered. He then glanced at the exploding hedgehog then gestured to the newly released Angel and Eclipse to move between them and it. The girls did so and readied attacks just in case.

Victory! Char opened his mouth to bellow victory, yawned, and promptly fell asleep from the effect of the Spores.
Snarling viciously Tortie continued her Bite assault on the Volcarona beginning to really feel the effects of her burn but still on her paws for now. Nearby, Red continued their pattern and treated it to yet another Aerial Ace. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Pinkie did her best to withstand the Vaporeon's Hydro Pump. Her Rory was on her back and she would not risk bucking him off because of the enemy pokemon. She still wished he'd give the command to pull back and catch up to the other injured Rockets. Then again they were probably too far way for her to find now. He just had to take his fake Roman title seriously.
She didn't want to get too close to the opposing pokemon with him on her back, but what choice would she have?
Rory felt some of the water from the back splash of the Hydro Pump hit the burns and he bit his lip to keep from screaming. As if trying to sit up right on Pinkie didn't hurt enough with his legs against her sides. "Use Stomp against it," he commanded and braced himself.
Pinkie bristled under his newest command but used the attack on the Vaporeon anyway.

At the sight of the solar beam, Trick casually phased into the wall, while Spook ran squealing out of the way.
Hazel looked around confused when her target had spiraled away, and now ran back over to her trainer at his call. Alba himself was moving around the corner, slipping by the others to grab Star by the arm and shoulder and pull him back to relative safety. "You sure know how to make a lasting impression, don't you?" Hazel worked to distract and keep her human covered by firing one Leech Seeds after another, with Spook joining int to help.

Bro' blinked once, his lips parting a little wider over his teeth when the group was paused as someone bumped into Frost. It didn't very long for Bro' to recognize this man as the one standing on the big machine when Jerome and the others were taken.
The blond that had been leading them was quick to assess the situation, and give an abrupt order, that sounded pretty darn good to keep the Shaymin from attack them with its explosions.
Bro' floated quickly toward the group, though he was turned to face the Shaymin, in case it wanted to try anything else, Boss clopped next to Bro' letting out a snort of flames and clenched his hooved hands.

Star didn't have time at all to get his Pokemon out before he was subject to attack from the Starmie again. This came as little surprise, seeing as Star betrayed them.
It all happened very fast, by the time Tethys was disarmed and attacked by a tiny bird pokemon that seemed to be defending Star, the man was back on his feet, hobbling back toward them. She saw the blood and knew what that meant. Damn it!
Alba had moved forward to help get Star back over more quickly. Faleen looked at her squirming Sharpedo, really not wanting him to be there when Star came back, and in a swift movement pulled herself up onto his head, crouching herself over his star making on him. "Alright go go!"
"SHAAR!" water sprayed about them fiercely, as the shark shot forward with vicious intent.
With Alba and Star still between them and the Galactics, Faleen had to make a point to keep Sharpedo on target, and not let him make a beeline for the two men on their side. Something she could feel he was intending to do before she gave the Sharpedo's nose a quick yank to the side, indicating she wanted him to go around. The shark's fins barely missed the two men when he was pulled off course, swirling behind them to in turn help provide a little more cover. Faleen finally let the shark go plummet himself hungrily into the battle, sliding off of his wet skin once his path was clear, and hurrying to rejoin her team.
Absol streaked up next to Faleen as she stepped back, the Absol firing off another Ice beam at the Galactics. Faleen could see Banette was down, he wasn't moving back up once he hit the floor. She had to return him, though from what she could see, Charizard was keeping it up.

Seeing Alba trying to help Star, Inigo quickly jogged over to help the spindly man up to his feet... Wait, his leg was bleeding. Carajo.. Could he walk? "You alright there?" He asked the ex-Galactic, aiding his roommate with the taller man. While Alba might normally have been able to help him alone, he was still recovering from his last run-in with Galactic and Inigo wasn't taking any chances with his older friend slipping or hurting something.

Charmant snorted away the discharge of the Spore attack, but its effects had already taken hold. The large fire dog swayed as she attempted to back away from the fray; it would be no less than perfectly unwise to leave herself so susceptible in the middle of battle. She would not get far before her fading strength failed her, but it would not be much longer than that before she was recalled into the safety of her pokeball.
Arcadie, focused as she was on the state of her Arcanine and the act of getting said Arcanine to safety, did not notice the Ice Beam her Spinarak had attracted. Even if she had noticed, it was essentially guaranteed that she would have been able to do exactly bumpkiss about it. Mise was unceremoniously knocked from his perch, knocked out on impact by the force of the blow in addition to gaining a thick shawl of frost.
Arcadie's shoulder and upper arm suffered a similar fate, and she didn't notice until she turned to recall the spider into her own pokeball. The word hypothermia was first in her mind, but no, hypothermia wasn't so localized. This was more like frostbite. Yeah, that was probably right. Interesting - she'd never seen a frostbite case before. She wondered how - ow, ow, ow, Arceus, no more wondering. All wondering stopped as the skin constricted painfully and the layers of tissue burned from the cold. Ow, Arceus, s**t. Eff all, eff ice. Damned ice. Hot coffee for the rest of forever. Damn it.
Revenant, unaware of her trainer's situation, focused instead on Acier's movements, having noted that Charmant had been removed from play. Physically attacking the woman like the Aggron was seemed awfully brutish, though. The ghost went for the more graceful option, attempting to disarm Tethys once more with her Telekinesis.

The spider skittered along, dragging the gun in her webbing as she looked for a suitable space to battle without distractions from the other raging pokemon. Neph addressed the gun with excited chittering. For so long she'd wanted this battle. The gun said nothing. The spider berated, her webbing having released, before she sent a Poison Sting toward her inanimate opponent. *TINK* Nothing happened. Gun remained silent. Neph's spidery eyes narrowed and her patterns contorted into a frown. An angry frown. She tried a Night Shade attack and still nothing happened. The spider scuttle-paced, eyed this 'Gun' pokemon and spat out a chirp of utter disgust. And with that, the spider scuttled away to find a more responsive, or interesting, thing to torment.. Palu had flown to the battle... and found herself dodging chaos... She unleashed a wing attack at any Galactic that she found herself too close to, but was mostly seeking wounded Rockets/pokemon or, of course, the spider... ---- Tambrey did not enjoy the stairs. "This ride needs work..." She muttered as they climbed... She did try to pet Sonata again though anyway, to show she appreciated what the pony was doing really. And then there was a fuzzy-image of Deimos and his terrifying little green pet. Tam's initial instinct, when Sonata used her attack toward the hedgehog, was to cover her own head, expecting an immediate explosion... When her teams mates set about surrounding and binding the purple-haired airship pirate... inventor...., however, she warily looked back up. "... There's no way we're getting /this/ lucky..." She muttered and looked around the room for blurry storm troopers suspiciously.

"There is no such thing as luck, Tambery, there are only things that happen," Frost replied calmly, eyes not leaving Deimos' face for even a second. "I will admit that the odds are against such a boon... but if it pleases you, think of it as karma."

Galactic Commander Tethys
|
Posted: Sun Mar 25, 2012 4:17 pm
Tethys had no time to search for her missing gun; an Aggron was bearing down on her. Stone-faced, the commander reached for her belt and released two more red lights - a Gardevoir, which raised a shimmering Protect wall in front of itself and its trainer. A half-second later its partner Gallade rushed the steel-type with a sidelining Close Combat.
Tethys took advantage of the distraction to sight on Star being helped by Alba and fire two parting shots.
Having successfully flung Star, the Starmie rose up and spun back across the battlefield to the commander, dodging Conrad's Trump Card. Halfway it was caught by Bonnie and Clyde's Mega Drains, and the change was noticeable - its spinning slowed and, like a rather sad frisbee, it skidded to a stop just shy of the Volcarona on the ground. A limb twitched as it began to Recover.
The sleeping moth continued to take the hits, feelers twitching in its sleep.
