Alex followed Yin into the dorms at his slow and steady amble, eyes drifting over the many hammocks in the room. He was feeling a bit drained from all of the activity of the day, and was only too eager to sit down next to the weremantis in the hammock, his body pressed snugly up against Yin's. Shrugging his shoulders a few times, he managed to have his backpack slide down enough to pull his arms free, and then, picking it up, he set it down on the floor behind them, leaning back and causing the hammock to rock.
He was about ready to dig his eyephone out of his pocket when Yin started talking, and he frowned, clearly puzzled. What was Yin going on about? Homework? Wait...Nurse Cricket homework..
Oh sweet jack no. Noooooooo. Yin what are you doing just..no.
It was hard to hide the horror on his face when Yin pulled two shiny square's of foil from out of his waistband. Was he absolutely being serious right now? Alex actually knew better then that, though. Of course Yin was being serious. When was he
not being serious.
"Do we...have to do that here? Right this second?" His voice may have sounded oddly strained. He knew that Yin had no idea what those charms were conventionally used for. But they were in the middle of an open dorm, with students milling all around, talking, chatting, texting, napping....they were surrounded by eyes who would watch what they were doing and probably think the absolute worst.
But Alex knew it wasn't like that, and that was what really mattered, wasn't it?
But Yin should know. Somebody needed to tell him, to explain to him what was so wrong about doing this right here and now. He might be completely innocent, and totally oblivious, but that didn't mean Alex should continue to play along with it. In the end, if Yin ever figured it out, he would likely be upset that Alex had never told him the truth.
"Okay, look, Yin. I know your heart is in the right place here." He whispered, trying not to draw any attention to themselves,
"And yes, I understand why you want to do this but it's just...it's not..." Oh dear jack how did he explain this! No matter what he said he was sure it was going to upset Yin in some way.
"Sex ed is not a class about genders Yin." He finally just blurted out, quickly, like tearing off a bandaid, his voice a hiss.
"It's about..mating, and reproduction, and everything else involved. Do you understand that?" Alexander looked pained, as though this was clearly not a subject he was comfortable with explaining, especially not right here, and now.
Why Yin.
Why.
But he had to continue on now, didn't he? He was put into an awkward and uncomfortable position, and that meant talking. Always talking, rambling on and on, never not
talking.
"So yes, they are for protection, but most commonly, for protection against fear infections, like those one might receive during....during..." The back of his neck was long past just feeling simply warm. His cheeks were starting to turn a pale shade of pink as well. This had to stop, somebody had to stop this train wreck of a conversation.
"You know what? My mom loves talking about this stuff. We should call her up when we get back to Amityville. How does that sound? Yes, I think that's what we should do." He was nodding, like that was the best idea ever, and pulling his phone out of his pocket as though forgetting that they were not at Amityville right this second, and as though he were going to call her right then and there.
ramenli
I can not believe you right now. Do you see what you've done?
