Ares chuckled under his breath "I don't need any thanks. It's your birthday!" He stated contently as he walked past the other and into the kitchen. Rather than telling Damien to sit, he picked up the platter with the cake concealed beneath it's lid and walked up to Damien. "Alright~ Open it" He chimed happily, wanting Damien to be the one to remove the lid and reveal the cake for him to see. Ares was quite happy with the cake he had made, hoping that Damien would like it as well~

 When he held the platter to his face, Damien was a bit hesitant to open it but he trusted that Ares wasn't tricking him in some way. Slowly he reached out and grabbed the lid and lifted it up. Once it was uncovered he stared at the cake, amazed that Ares did such wonderful craftsmanship. Damien couldn't help but smile and so he chuckled and looked at the other male. "You're a good baker too, if music doesn't work out for your I'm sure you can have your own cake shop." He chuckled again and thanked the man for doing this for him.

Ares beamed at the other and turned to place the cake on the table, grabbing a match and lighting the candles before he sat himself down and waited for Damien to do the same "hurry now~ You have to blow out the candles and make a wish" He chimed, completely aware of how childish he may have sounded, but this was how he celebrated birthdays. "Oh~ And, Happy Birthday Damien" He cooed with a warm smile, happy to see that Damien was smiling...it was always a good sign.

Damien was taken back a bit by the cake and how it was a piano and how nice it looked. He looked at Ares and smiled a bit, his face showing how he truly appreciated it. He blew the candles and pulled the keychain piano off the cake and licked the frosting off before putting it in his pocket and smiling at Ares again. "Thanks for the cake...it's a beautiful cake to be honest, but now lets cut it up and eat it." He chuckled lightly and took the cake from the other male and went toward the kitchen.

Ares smiled quite happily at the males statement "I tried" He chimed as he stood up as well and followed Damien to the kitchen, finally realizing he still had his rather dirty apron on and chuckled to himself under his breath, taking off the apron and hanging it on a hook next to the fridge. With that he walked over to the knife drawer and opened it, pulling out a cake knife and holding it out for Damien to take. "it's your cake~ You get to cut it" He chimed sweetly, a big smile playing on his lips. He hadn't celebrated a birthday with someone for such a long time, it was a nice change. "Ah! Please don't mind the mess, i can be a bit clumsy when i bake, i tend to spill things" he added.

He took the knife and cute pieces from the cake and gave Ares a piece and cut himself one and took a bit. "Mmm you're clumsy but this is freaking good." He chuckled and continued to devour his cake and got at least two more pieces. When he was satisfied he smiled and sat there looking at the other male. "So do you have any plans for today or just cake?"

Ares ate his own piece of cake contently, beaming slightly at the praise he received. "Ah....you know, i didn't actually think that far ahead... Was there anywhere you wanted to go? Or did you just want to stay here... I'm have...movies and such" He stated with a chuckle obviously not knowing what they could do. Once he finished his piece of cake he took Damien' plate and his own and took them to the kitchen, before repeating the trip so he could put the rest of the cake in the fridge. "You can take the cake home with you if you wanted by the way" He chimed as he walked back into the room.

"Thanks again," Damien said as he was glad he could take his cake home. He thought for a moment and said, "Hm, I'm good watching a movies...and perhaps you can make me food?" He chuckled lightly and headed to the living room and sat down on his couch.

Ares couldnt help but laugh, wondering how he could still be hungry....though Ares ate a rather small amount for being male. "Alright, movies are in the television stand. What would you like to eat? It's your choice" He stated, knowing he'd have to clear a bit of room in the kitchen, but he didn't mind it. It was Damiens birthday after all, and he wanted the male to enjoy it.

"Anything is fine honestly," Damien said as he got up and looked at all the movies he had and just pulled out a random one and stuck it in and sat back down letting the previews play though he didn't play the movie yet since he wanted to wait for Ares. He walked into the kitchen to see what it was he was doing and smiled a bit more. "What are you making?"

Ares pursed his lips and nodded slowly, figuring that he could make Swiss steak and rice. He then turned and walked into the kitchen, cleaning the dirty dishes first, before he got to work on making dinner for Damien and himself. Lilac irises turned to Damien when he entered the kitchen "Swiss steak and rice. I can leave it on the stove to cook and watch some of the movie while we wait. It'll take a little while....i'd say forty minutes or so" He stated as he mixed in ingredients.

Damien nodded, "Alright I'll be heading back then." He walked back into the living room and sat back down and put play and began to watch it. He laughed at a could scenes and was relaxed and having a good time, for the first time in such a long time. He did wish his mother was around of course but there was nothing to be done about that unless he was some wizard.

Once Ares was done putting all the ingredients into the pan he put a lid on top of and simply left it to cook, walking into the living room to join Damien. "What're we watching?" He questioned as he got settled, mainly because half of his movies weren't even opened yet...he didn't have much time to watch films generally.

"I have no clue but it's funny so far," Damien said with a smile as he glanced over at Ares. For a moment he was tempted to lean over to him and do something...he wasn't sure what exactly but nonetheless the temptation was there. Of course, he ignored it and simply focused on the movie though soon he could smell the food.

Ares looked over at Damien and smiled, nodding as he turned his gaze back to the screen "Alright then" He murmured, finding the movie actually quite amusing.Eventually he heard the timer he had set and slipped off of the couch, returning to the kitchen to dish out the food for Damien, not really hungry yet himself. After turning off the stove he returned to the living room and held out the plate to Damien "There you go. Enjoy" He chimed, sitting down once again when the male took the plate from him.
