xxxxxNodding absent mindedly to the woman as she counted off the three rules he was already well aware of, he began to ignore everything she was saying as he thought about the different Medical Techniques she had been telling him about before. Being able to summon his Medical Tools on the field would be a great ability to have, especially since it would leave him free of any weighty material and sharp pointy objects for his new babysitter to prod him with if she got her hands on them. The more the boy thought about it, the more he wanted to test whether or not he could do it on his own. Sliding his gaze to Karu, he thought better than to show her he was practicing something she had spoken to him about. So, in the mean time, he continued to think about the Technique and what all he would need to do in order to make it happen when he really needed it to.

[₦] As they continued along the road Natsu watched as Jaice propped himself along the back of the caravan and Makato took to the trees. Natsu on the other hand just walked along side of the caravan keeping an eye out for anything that might seem suspect. After all a caravan doesn't hire a couple of ninja to escort them through the land everyday without some type of danger that could possibly be present. Makato had a Kekkei Genkai, and Jaice mentioned being able to use ice. An the knowledge from the academy on basic elemental ninjutsu said nothing about ice which meant that he must possess some sort of Kekkei Genkai. That was three ninja all with some type of advanced nature. Natsu just continued to rack his mind wondering if they were actually prepared for this mission, after all he did kind of rush them into it without proper notice; though that was to stir Jaice into action. If he faltered like he did in the Dojo, then he would be a high risk, and expendable. Natsu wanted to speak with Makato some more but she was off in the trees hoping from branch to branch he assumed. This caused his pace to slow before coming to walk at the back of the caravan staring at Jaice for a moment. "You sure you;ll be alright?" He asked him, Natsu's blood began to boil just a bit thinking about certain situations that things could either go wrong, or where someone would screw up.

As they road along Jaice would look along the roadways as they prepared to leave kirigakure. The expansion of water that barred the village from konoha proved to keep jaice calm as the boat ahead brought a warm smile to him. Large bodies of water was what calmed him down and brought out the warmer side of him as well as kept him from being distracted. As his teammate came up to him Jaice would wave him off with smile "i'm alright, i won't jeopardize this mission" he would say as an item poked from the back of the caravan and interested him What is this?
"But it`s not because it is my pride that I will not give up. It`s because I cannot give it up, that`s why it is my pride."
Makoto leaped from branch to branch, careful to conceal her position from enemy ninja. Her eyes were constantly searching, looking for anything out of the ordinary. With a bird's eye view of their escort, she felt responsible for being the first to detect trouble. Jaice never did answer her question pertaining to his well being; the girl tuning in when she heard the same question being asked by Natsu. He insisted he'd be fine but Makoto was skeptical. 'I guess we'll see...' The kunoichi wondered if Natsu was going to ask him to team up with them, the thought kind of bothering her. Sure she barely even knew Natsu but after their mission, despite that, she felt he was someone she could depend on. Perhaps her feelings toward Jaice would change after this mission too.
She also wondered about the team's overall capabilities and was contemplating possible combinations. Natsu had "liquid lightning" which she assumed was that weird light jutsu he used in the cave was. He was also a swordsman which she assumed was his specialty. As for herself, she had her medical jutsu to heal her comrades and she was pretty good in hand to hand combat. And as a last resort, there was her Boil Release. Then there was Jaice who claimed he could use ice jutsu. That reminded her, the Mizukage could use ice jutsu too. We're they related? 'Maybe I'll ask him later' she nodded to herself.
[₦] Listening to Jaice as he spoke about not risking the mission Natsu could only nod and trust in his fellow Kiri Shinobi. Turning his head forward Makato was still jumping from the branches surveying forward and along the roads edge. The mist did begin to pick up as they moved closer towards the port that held the boat they'd need to take. Thinking back a bit his mind raced with different views of the situation, one was acceptance that this mission would go off without a hitch, where as the other would see punishment from some higher power. Natsu just kept these thoughts to himself. It was then that he snapped out of his thoughts looking forward as something or someone stood in their way. It was a single person standing arms crossed in the middle of the road. An they were so close to the docks; they were visible just over the next pass. "Jaice..." Natsu spoke softly enough that only he could hear, considering Jaice was behind the caravan hopefully he wouldn't be noticed and as for Makato being hidden in the trees, well there was hope they'd get through this.

Reaching for the item Jaice's eyes would widen as it was a strange umbrella. Normally Jaice would roll his eyes at such a thing but the umbrella seemed to call to him as Jaice smirked softly to himself. Looking in the top he noticed senbons attached to it and quickly smiled as the caravan stopped. Looking towards the cause of the sudden stop there would be a man that didn't seem much older than they were standing in their way. Jaice's first instinct kicked in and caused him to see how this would play out.
"But it`s not because it is my pride that I will not give up. It`s because I cannot give it up, that`s why it is my pride."
As they inched closer and closer to the docks, Makoto was beginning to lose trees to travel through. At least she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The kunoichi thought it would be fine if she got down now, until she noticed a figure in the distance. Makoto remained hidden when the caravan came to a halt. Were they an enemy or not? That's what she was waiting to find out before attacking. Even then, she would wait for the others to make a move first, seeing as she had the element of surprise. If the worst came to pass, she could potentially land a surprise attack on them.
[₦] Standing beside the caravan Natsu stared watching as the person before them just stood there he wasn't sure if they were friend or foe, but either way they were still blocking the road. An tiwas their job to get the caravan to Konoha. But suddenly to Natsu the unthinkable happened, Jaice whom Natsu had technically just met revealed himself by looking around the caravan when they stopped. Surely he was still a little messed up from that sparing match from earlier to give away his position like that. Makato seemed to keep to the trees which was good. The person in front of them would hopefully assume that now there were only two people with the caravan.
(Bad flare it says crew for a reason XD HOSTILITY DICE ROLL!!)

As the two visible shinobi stood guarding the caravan the cloaked and masked figure would throw its hands into the air quietly for a moment. Those with sensitive hearing would barely be able to make out words he was speaking that sounded something akin to a prayer. Once he had finished the figure spun in place trailing several kunai from its sleeves each tagged with an explosive tag towards the shinobi and by extension the convoy.

Deja vu.. is what would go through the genins head as Jaice watched the man throw his hands into a prayer like stance. That confused Jaice as to why a shinobi would do something like that during a battle and why would they be attacked like this. In his previous mission Jaice had been attacked by several assailents which lead to the Raikages office window being covered in blood and what ever the unlucky shinobi have in or on him. The nearest building to fling the shinobi on is to far so that wouldn't be an option but the only trace of jaice's extreame lack of a sense of humor was gone as the masked figure began their assault. As he began to spin Jaice quickly formed a string of hand signs and stood in front of the caravan with his arms outstretched as a large blast of wind escaped from his hands and flung the kunai back towards the strange man. "Natsu, think you can back me up, we don't need to let this man know anything more" he said in a somewhat audible voice. He was hinting towards not letting the man know about Makoto and if he was lucky having the kunai explode on or near the shinobi.

The blast of wind goes out three feet and knocks a victim back at least five feet and can stop projectiles. It is a defensive move that is usually used when the user is caught off guard.
