The feelings though were being projected not absorbed, she had no clue about his rage any more than what was on his face. No, she was giving off her anger, her rage, which clash in his head with her own ...even as she threw him hard enough to crack the bark of the tree.
The fight would end then as she stomp her hooves in her own aggressive matter. She had battled hard, and she had proven without a doubt that she was the master of this area ....as her breath came out in labor gasps ....as she stood on her three legs. Head held high, she had so far been able to hold her own as she awaited the encounter of a new pokemon. She stood there defensively ...protective of her hind leg and ready to run if possible to protect herself as she looked to see what enemy would appear next.

Raven gave a sharp cluck of his tongue as Fable hit the ground, defeated. No, he had not been the right opponent for a creature such as this; but with Crowe and Requiem as they were he'd been the only option aside from Genn.
Recalling the Charmander in one smooth motion, the boy would quickly grab the second ball from his belt and release the contents.
The Girafarig wouldn't be facing a new Pokemon, but rather an old friend of sorts as the earth began to shake, a massive and mighty Steelix appear upon the field!
Genn roared, his voice carrying far as he tilted his head skyward. The the next instant he lunged, throwing his entire mass forward at the Girafarig!
Instants before the impending collision the Psychic-Type would be able to see the eyes of the Steelix, clear and focused once more; his time, however brief, inside his PokeBall had cleared his mind of the Confusion.

Name & Level: Genn, Lv 6
[Temperament] Hasty
Bio: Raven met with this Onix while making his way through Clockwork Cavern. An Area Guardian, his charge was evidently a Magnemite the boy had recently passed. Believing Raven a threat, the Onix attacked immediately. Raven seeing qualities he liked in the Pokemon, and after suffering some minor damage while battling against Fable, the Onix was quickly captured. An act he made no move to fight against. Quick to make his decisions, Genn rarely listens to Raven in battle, having chosen his next action before the child even has a moment to speak.

She smiled at the counter-attack, for it could be nothing else ....with his speed being less then hers. She would try to meet it with her own Confusion ...the move twisting and turning even as the Steelix came at her with everything he had. She knew this would hurt, and badly ...but still she would fight back ...as she was pushed backwards a bit.
It was always interesting to see a trainer throw it's all into the battle, but she had no plans of yielding. She wasn't going to bow ....as she let her frustration and anger seep through her.
If this had been a wild battle, it would have been over. She would have subdue whatever pokemon and life would continue onwards, but ....humans ...humans were completely different. They would throw everything at one pokemon and force them to battle against all odds.
No honor, no right.
She let her anger sizzle.
They destroy everything they touch and claim greatness even when they ....do nothing more than taint everything. Including this forest, including this world, and she hated them ...she hated them horribly as she tries to add more power behind her confusion.

Girafarig HP: 8The idea that the Steelix's metal body against her's would hurt would come as a massive understatement as that hard ridged body crashed into her own. Genn himself would feel nothing, but it didn't seem likely the Psychic-Type would be rising easily from that one.
A counter-attack it had been indeed, and a powerful one. Had her attack been as weak as the defense she'd shown before, this battle would have simply ended.
That wasn't the case however, and so things would continue.
Without word for Raven, without giving the child a time to register the extent of the damage Genn had caused, the Steelix would lunge forward with his maw held wide. Icy mist trailed along his square teeth, sharpening them into spear like icicles. He'd follow up that Tackle with an Ice Fang!

Pain coupled by more pain as she hit the ground. The broken leg would turn in an agonizing angle and she screamed despite her own will power to contain such things. She would stagger back to her three hooves slowly even as the pokemon took advantage of that ...to try and attack her. Head down, and beads of sweat running down her body ...she would try to block as much of the attack as possible with her body shuffling as close to the earth as possible ...even as she threw up at a hasty placed barrier.

The ring of steel would echo along the forest trail as Genn slammed into the barrier, his body grinding against it as his mass was shifted to one side.
The Steelix's tail would slam into the ground as he was forced to the Girafarig's right, his beady eyes narrowing upon her as he twisted around. A deep rumbling chuckle would soon follow. Now this was getting interesting!
Tail spinning like a drill, the Steelix would plunge into into the ground in order to anchor himself there, the rest of his body coiling around defensively as he waited to see what the Psychic-Type would do next.

Interesting had no place in her vocabulary as she heard the chuckle and her eyes narrowed dangerously. She knew she was being laughed at ...probably because even if she managed to defeat him ...there would be another one. Her anger would make her stomp her hooves even as she would send out ...her own confusion aimed just for the head. IF she couldn't throw him ...then she would raise him and twist him ...like a pretzel even with his tail still draw into the ground.
She smiled at her own sinisterness and slyness in her attack ...as she sent the power pulsing forward.

Despite her attack confusion would not appear upon the Steelix's face, rather elation. His body would rise briefly, the faintest turn coming in his neck, and then he would strike the ear abruptly once more. An interesting opponent made all the more so by her own attack.
Most Pokemon would try with futility to slam into him, to cut into his flesh with claws or pincers. To drench him with water or scorch his body with flame; but not her. No, she was actually trying to beat his brawn with her mind!
This would make a great metaphor if he'd cared enough to put more thought into it.
Too bad he didn't!
Ripping his tail from the ground, Genn would chuckle more heavily, his mouth spreading into what passed for a grin for his species. Rising up, the Steelix would lunge forward at the Girafarig with another Tackle. It had worked before, so why not now? Even if it failed, he'd just find a new way to do it that was even more exciting!!

She felt it then ...like a tingle in the back of her mind. His elation at her pain, his love of this fight and she would turn her barrier from something like a shield to more like a ball around herself.
He was the type that loved a battle as long as it was in his favor, and she had plans of flipping that love around the moment she was able to get her feet underneath her. As the tackle if it wasn't strong enough to burst the bubble would send her bouncing away ...painfully considering her leg, but, it would come back with the force of any ball ...which would open him to her next attack.
She closed her eyes.
There had to be sacrifices if one wished to win.

Even as his body bounced off the Girafarig's shield, the Steelix would continue to chuckle, grinning from ear to ear...if he had ears. At best they were probably small holes in the side of his skull.
Either way, if the Girafarig thought Genn cared about who was winning, she didn't know Genn!
Battered, bloodied, and beaten the Steelix would still smile so long as things were exciting! Nearest to death only increased the rush!
This time the Steelix would coil around the Girafarig, or rather the bubble she'd formed. Grinning broadly, Genn would rest his full weight upon the Psychic-Type. Now if she released it, even for a moment, his entire mass would fall onto her. It wasn't an attack, it wasn't even a threat, he just wanted to see how she'd react to it!

She hadn't expected him to catch her bubble ...as she was suspended within ...she had thought she would be propelled backwards not the other way around. Her eyes were wide open as she saw those coils curl around and around her enclosure and her smile grew wider ....as she realized that he wasn't anchor like that.
All that weight, she would lift them upwards in one fluid motion the bubble him and her ...as she would twist them both around. So that he was facing the ground as the bubble would start to glow purplish as the power spread through out the Steelix's body.
She was using confusion again, but this time she was going to combine physical pain with mental ....as she rushed them towards the ground. She would use the Steelix's own body to blunt her own pain this time ....as she sent her sparks of anger, rage, and especially her pain through his coils and straight to his brain.
Didn't his parents teach him ...never to touch a psychic type in pain.

Genn HP: 7Genn would loose a deep rumbling cry of pain, closing hyis eyes shut tight. Yet the pain wasn't anything of the physical sort, the fall had done nothing to the Steelix's hide save for make it a bit dustier. Indeed the Girafarig would find that he steel skin didn't bare even the faintest nick.
Instead the Steel-Type was thrashing his head wildly back and forth, soon pressing the tip of his tail against his brow like a human might their hand. The attack had done it's damage to be certain; but it wasn't the pain of her rage he was feeling instead if was a sharp ache which rapidly dulled and spread out. Had he been eating, this would usually be called a brain freeze...and everyone knew how horrid those were!
Of course as was often the case, Raven was entirely out of the loop. All the boy could see was his Steelix in pain, and then the Girafarig was the source.
They'd far from lost this fight; however it was evident that Genn was beginning to take a beating. Only a fool wouldn't be able to see that...but that was precisely why he'd visited the PokeMart in the first place. He was no fool; for a situation such as this, he'd come prepared.
Reaching behind him the boy would grab one of the Potions he'd purchased before his departure, darting across the battlefield to the nearest section of his Steelix and spraying it liberally.
In mere moments the irritating sensation at the core of his skull would vanish, a bright gleam appearing in Genn's eyes. Yes, in the matter of mere seconds the boy had completely undone all that the Girafarig had worked toward. Genn was healed, free of all the damage she had done to his mind and body.
Anchoring his tail, the Steelix would take up a defensive position, blocking the way between Raven and the Psychic-Type. This battle wasn't over by a long shot!Genn HP: 26

Though there was a smile on her face ...as she watches the boy use the potion and would start forward all on her own. She was in pain, and he could heal it ...as she watches him heal his own. Her hooves light in pain, and rapid in movement as she would aim her own body for him ....if this worked ...while he healed his pokemon she would force him to heal her as well.
Her psychic power whirled around her once more..as she started to use Recycle as the bottle would glow with her power. If she was successful her charge would force him to drop a full bottle of the stuff on herself, and if she failed ...the pain in her leg burned horribly.
She would be no worse off than before ....as the Steelix was guarding, but not from the right enemy.
She had timed it to the moment ...her power would only take effect if there was nothing to stop her from hitting him or if she was able to connect. Her eyes couldn't lose sight of the bottle for a moment or the connection would be broken.

The move would fail as a massive steely tail swept out to meet the Girafarig, barring her path path as a massive shovel shaped head lurked above. No she wouldn't gain use of the item any time soon...not that it was within Recycle's abilities to do such a thing in this case.
Scowling slightly, Raven would put the bottle away. He could dispose of it properly later. "Genn, Tackle!" The child would command from behind his Pokemon, already beginning to walk toward the edge of the battlefield even before the Steelix had begun to move.
Smacking his tail tip against the ground briefly, the Steelix would once again begin to smile and chuckle. How would she handle him now he wondered.
Rearing back briefly, Genn would fling all his weight forward, attempting to slam his entire steely mass into the Girafarig in a sharp powerful Tackle!
