I want to go completely Vegan, but my mom won't allow it. She makes me eat fish and dairy. It sucks. 8 more months and I can become a Vegan because I'll be on my own.

Mazuuna While my guitar waits for a tune... Pescetarian <33 I'm trying to go lacto-ovo, but I just love sushi too much! ...where have the songs played gone to? You are an omnivore. Pescetarian is a bullshit term made up by people who are trying to justify eating fish, yet still associate themselves with vegetarians. You are not a "pescetarian", you are a hypocrite.

emo godfather You could also say that vegeterian is a bullshit term made up by people who are trying to justify eating honey, eggs, dairy, yet still associate themselves with vegans. heart I don't disagree with that, but the term vegetarian did come around long before the term vegan did. Pescetarian is a stupid, ridiculous concept. By using it, you're practically saying that fish are not animals. Even worse are the morons who call themselves "pollotarians"

I think I don't even want to know what pollotarian mean xD You might be looking it from the different point of view. It all depends on what for do you use that term and why are you pesceterian. If you're pesceterian for "moral" reasons, then yea, it's totally idiotic. However, some might use the phrase only to refer to their diet, not their lifestyle. For example, someone doesn't like any meat except fish, or doctor told them to cut out all the meat except the fish etcetc...

Some people have used the term pollotarian for people who eat chicken, but not red meat. Regardless of whether it's used as an ethical or dietary it's still a stupid and pointless term. Any way you look at it, they eat meat. There's no need to make up a separate term for people who only eat certain types of meat. They're still omnivores. I ******** hate broccoli, and I'd never touch the stuff, but I don't feel the need to make up a new term because I don't eat it just to make myself feel special. That's really the ONLY reasoning behind it. They don't have the balls to give up meat entirely but they still feel the need to set themselves apart from the standard omnivore.

[Matsuko] Somehow I had failed to mention that I'm a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian. I hate it when people say I'm eating baby chickens. They weren't fertalized!!! That's true but when they need them to reproduce, half of the chicks (males and the gender can't be determined until they hatch) are discarded, throw in huge dumpsters will still alive and usually suffocate from the others piling on top.

I would say that at the moment, I'm more of a transitional vegetarian. I'll definitely eat a vegetarian diet when I can. Living with my parents makes that difficult. When I move out this fall, I'll be going lacto-ovo vegetarian, and start making my way towards freeganism, which fits my views more.

[: i mean, i guess it depends what you like to eat, but the biggest percentage of food i eat is fresh, organic produce and i've been able to buy that really cheap at the farmers market. n___n something that's helpful, is places like sam's club and such lots of time offer veg stuff in bulk.
