It didn't even dawn on the man stuck in the body that she had no clue who he was until the awkward introduction came out, and making him fluster at his own stupidity and slapping a manicured hand against the golem's forehead. "Sorry, I'm Leon." he said apologetically and gave Jude a prod to his arm in boredom. "From the batch before you all, one of Jude's former teammates from the last mission."

Speaking of which, it was a shocker that Jude was talking to a lady, even in his current outfit. "Is he putting the moves on you or something?" he asked bluntly. The last thing he wanted to do was interrupt the questionable guy if he was trying to chase some golem tail.

Tedan nodded to Dakota's introduction, offering another flash-of-teeth grin. He shrugged at the wondering about the cloaks, shifting his own about on his shoulders a little. "Maybe we're sneaking into some kinda secret monster meeting, I dunno."

"Oh it's from these ... books. Lord of the Rings," Tedan replied to Wilson, feeling just a bit dumb now. But hey, it sounded like a cool monster-name to him!

Tedan was surprised enough by the uncharacteristic exhasperation in his partner's 'voice' to blink a couple of times.



A pause.

Tedan couldn't help but laugh softly at that. Yea, the way he looked right now, he couldn't really see being "charming". But maybe there was one of these Halloween-creatures that would think so. Which would be. Really awkward. Okay, hopefully NO ONE HERE found him charming. Or whatever the hell demons were supposed to be. Didn't wanna deal with that, thanks.

"PFFFFFFFFFFFFF!"

Eva had to turn away, hands clasped over her mouth as she tried to hold back her laughter. It was official: Robert was definitely cool in her book. She grinned at the wink, reaching out to give him a pat on the back. Nice one.

Of course, it wasn't long before that unhappy look settled back on his face. Sigh. She didn't know what was wrong, and she wasn't one to pry, but Eva wasn't really sure what else to do right now. She didn't know him well enough to know how to cheer him up, unfortunately.

...Otto's outburst was a pretty good distraction though. Eva's grin returned to her face, full force, though she said nothing.

That was some advice. Advice that was not heeded. Otto curled his lip at Candace, grunting and turning his head away.

"When we get outta this, I got a few words for mister Frisky Biscuit over here."

Robert did not physically react to being called a Frisky Biscuit, but somewhere, deep down in the depths where the true Robert waited to be released from this emo nightmare, he thought it was a fine name for a fine man like himself.

The question finally made Robert look at Candace's golem, his eyes fluttering slightly with annoyance.

"Sorry." He grumbled. "I'll watch my back."

It wasn't really much better than ignoring her, but it was all he could muster.

Candace was starting to piss him off. She had no right to give him any advice, or act anything but the b***h she was. That tone of concern in her voice made her angrier than any insult or joke she could have thrown at him. He stopped, turned, and looked at her with an expression that held nothing within those glowing, white eyes. There was nothing there for her.

"I said I'll watch my back." He repeated, his voice monotone and deadpan as he stared at her - straight through her - right past her.

"And I will."

He turned back, and continued walking.

"I know," Jordan said quietly, watching Robert stalk away. "I'm going to track him down when we get back and see if I can get him to talk to me." He tried to fold his arms, encountered the chest problem again, and adjusted the gesture with a wordless growl of frustration.
