"Shut up, Roberta, as if you have any room to talk."
Petra entered the room with the blank, level expression that meant she was in 'Zeta-Eight' mode, and was not in any mood to be ******** with. If she heard Jordan's comment, she didn't offer any sort of affirmation, merely looking over at him and Madison before giving an acknowledging nod.

Jerry blinked at the bickering phoenixes, his face flushing a bit. There was... definitely some tension going on, and more than likely none of his business.
Instead, he flopped into the seat beside Candace, propping his feet up on the seat ahead of him as he undid his scarf with a weary sigh, "WELP! That mission went well, I think? I mean... it wasn't horribly traumatic, so that must have been a good thing! Shame all that trapping seemed to be for naught, though."

"Jeremy," she repeated, thoughtfully. "There's Eva, and Otto- and Jordan, over there."
He'd asked about friends, hadn't he? Reine fidgeted a little, so the position was more comfortable; she shifted to accommodate Jeremy's chin resting on her shoulder, poking at the arm around her; this was an armchair, wasn't it, not a baby seat?
Alynthe, though, might have felt some thrill when a figure entered; like a blast of cold wind hitting Reine in the face.
Oh... snap.
The Petra in her mind had stayed an eight-year-old girl; one who shoved her behind, protecting her, when they were herding the horses- or telling her funny stories to cheer her up. This Petra she would never dream of snuggling up to in the dark, whimpering about the shadows; this Petra... was not someone she wanted to recognise as her Petra.
Pressing her face against Jeremy's cheek, she clung to the arm around her waist, fingernails digging into his skin. Robert she could deal with. Not Stranger-Petra.
"pleasedon'tletgo," she whimpered pathetically in Jeremy's ear.

((Entering))
Familiar white walls, familiar human faces...the facility would never be so welcomed by the woman as it was in that moment, as she crossed over the threshold and returned to the safety of Earth...
Blythe rumbled threateningly in the back of her mind as the thought swelled, the sense that becoming too comfortable and too trusting of her 'home' a mistake to be dealt with in due time, by those who had also become far too comfortable in what lives they lived...Minerva ignored her.
Her home was safe.
Yet despite how absolutely happy she was to be back, the trainee went silently to the closest seat and slipped into it quickly; dropping her head into her hands.
It was time to recap. She had gone blindly into this mission without very much to work off of...Mostly because she had missed the initial text and the briefing prior to Halloweentown.
But it wouldn't happen again, so the tardiness and ill-preparedness were disregarded. For now. What more or less encircled her thoughts were the individuals they had come in contact with, and the traps they had all set, and the why. Why had they done it? Minerva groaned in thought, shaking her head before closing her eyes.

Oh look, Drama!
Cass coughed and looked to Aleister, purposely ignoring the fiasco going down. "Well, get some rest tonight and I'll hit you up in the morning for a battle to get your gears turning. Kinda takes being tossed into it to really figure things out, mmmmkay?" she offered, punching his shoulder lightly.
She paused, looking between the two boys she was sat between, sitting up straight. "Oh! Where are my manners!
Aleister, this is Davey. He's awesome." Cass motioned from Aleister to the moon hunter sitting on the other side of her, "Davey, Aleister. He was my newbie, and he is also awesome."
She was the master of introductions.

((Arriving))
Dakota stiffly moved his shoulders. Waking up in the pod again hadn't been the most pleasent thing but....neither had the trip.
All in all though, He enjoyed the work they did, A little sad that he didn't get to take home his first prey.
Yeah but she was such a looker.
He made an instant face of disgust before tapping his chin. Bet I could get use to it.
He grinned before flopping down. He didn't know the other hunters well enough to go up to them plus after the event, a lot of them didn't look so happy. He searched for Ryan, Kat or Wilson though, wondering where the three had gone.

It stung, but no one would see a flicker of anything change in Petra's expression as she noticed 'Reine' lean away from her, burrowing instead into the arm of one of the other trainees she almost-but-didn't-quite recognize. She didn't know what she had been expecting -- possibly a snappy comeback, maybe even physical violence -- but she had been ready for it, steeling herself before she'd even walked in the door. Instead, there was ... this. Avoidance. Like she wasn't worth a response. Like she was interrupting her cuddle time with whoever-that-was. She'd only just woken up, and she would prefer to snuggle up with her new boytoy instead.
Perhaps she should have expected it, considering what Robert had told her. She just... hadn't really accepted that Reine actually didn't want to talk to her.
For a second, it looked like the moon hunter might actually consider pressing the matter further, watching the newly-awoken life hunter with an intense, albeit emotionless expression. Instead, after a moment or two she let things settle, the tension draining from the air as she decided to be just as dismissive, turning her attention elsewhere. Robert would be disappointed in her, but there was nothing to be done about that. Coming up to stand by her fiance's side, she gave him a brief look before speaking, her voice flat but lighter than it had been, far better-natured than the sour snap to her tone before.
"I thought you said she was a lesbian."

((ENTERING))
Upon his glorious return Jude just stretched and out his limbs after being in the pod. It always felt so odd and cramped in there. It never really bothered him though he supposed it probably should have. Maybe deep down it did and he could expect a mental breakdown but for now he was good.
'Fun ride, ya?' Yom asked curiously.
He shrugged his shoulders rather than give a response back as he moved to the classroom where he paused watching others interact and then he moved to have himself a seat for now waiting to see what would happen next or at least to be properly dismissed.
He could only assume that they didn't '******** up' like Caelius warned them not to, whatever a ******** up could be construed as in this case.

For once, Petra was actually wrong. Despite all the attempts Robert had tried to convince her to talk to her sister, Robert really didn't want Petra anywhere near Roberta right now. They were in public, and Roberta was acting like.. well, kind of like a slut. It just wasn't the right time.
As soon as Petra was within arms length of him, Robert took no time in collecting the girl, and sliding her onto his knee. He brushed Petra's hair away from her neck, and bent in to leave a kiss there, before letting her settle comfortably.
"Yeah. I guess she goes both ways now. Just like Roberta to never stay consistent." He whispered in a surprisingly harsh hiss. He was extremely mad at the girl in Jeremy's arms right now, but despite it all, he didn't seem mad at Jeremy.
Seem was the key word.
"Jeremy already knows us." Robert's voice boomed out, quite obnoxiously. "Dont'cha? That lap warmer you've got there, that's Petra's sister."
His eyes fell cold on Reine, angry as all hell at the way she reacted to Petra. "What a peach."

"H-huh?" She jumped, looking back to Robert as she processed his words, "I, uh...sure, I guess. Just let me know when." Eva figured that he wanted to talk about Reine, though she was admittedly a little wary about that topic. She wasn't sure why her friend seemed to hold such animosity towards Robert, but the last thing she was going to do was betray Reine's trust in any way--she was probably going to be very careful while speaking to him.
Still, he didn't seem like an entirely bad guy from her point of view, which was the reason why she was agreeing to chat with him at all. There was so much tension in this room that it was almost stifling, or maybe it was just in their corner.
Whatever the case, she couldn't help but notice Reine's change in demeanor when another girl walked into the room, and--wait, Roberta? Brows furrowed, she looked to Robert, and then shot a look at Otto, scooting closer to the grumpy boy when the other girl stopped at Robert's side. "Otto, if anything upsets Reine, help me get her out of her--"
And then she heard Robert's words to Jeremy. Her head snapped up. "Sister?"

(( arriving back ))
"That was pretty badass, huh guys?" were the first words out of Tedan's mouth as he returned to the place they'd all been before. His first (well really second but who was counting that silly test??) ride in a golem had gone well. And from what he could tell, they'd won.
Captured all the students and he supposed Caelius had gotten what he'd been there for. The Horsemen ... there was a faint shudder at that. How had the Death Hunter subdued them?? Geez. But he'd definitely gotten the better of that punk rocker kid. Roch or whatever ... heh.

Otto's lidded eyes moved left.
Right.
Left.
Down.
He sat still on his spot on top of the table, watching the drama unfold with obvious irritation. His eyes fell down to Eva again as she was about to ask him something, only to have her look away at some other development.
This is obviously tension caused by too many people with nothing to do but fight in their spare time. This place needed a movie room or something.

"Yup, met Jordan." He said around the hoody string that was between his teeth. Well, he sort of met Jordan. Maybe not entirely face to face, but it was hard to avoid people on this island. But Eva and Otto were new, and both received a brief nod; he'd have to meet them later, in a better place than the meeting room class. The poking finger was swatted at, and he had no idea that Petra was addressing Reine, even as the girl latched onto him.
"What--" Honestly baffled, Jeremy turned his golden eyes to look at her, unable to turn his head due to their position. Wow, something really spooked her! He had to wonder what that was about, and yet... "Wouldn't dream of it, lovely~" He assured her quietly, still holding her on his lap. A moment later he felt free to lift his head from hers, looking at both Petra and Robert. Lesbian? Why were they looking at Reine? Who the hell is Roberta?
"Hey, are they talking about y---" Robert's little introduction took him by surprise. "Uhh yeah, for the most part." He conceeded; he knew their names, not really them. But s**t, what was he getting himself into? Part of him, but only a small part, was regretting this whole getting involved thing.
"Sister? Well, that's interesting." Jeremy flinched; so there were siblings here? Why did they get to have their sibling, when he couldn't? That wasn't fair. "To be honest? I quite frankly don't care, I mean, must be nice to have family around, but I'd still at least hope ya'll can be civil and work together." He said cheerfully, never skipping a beat after that initial flinch. They could die any day, and they needed to trust each other. His arms tightened in a brief squeeze around Reine; he'd have a talk with her later about this, but he honestly couldn't remember the last time he wanted to see a Division Leader so badly.

Jordan looked to Petra, to Reine, back again. No wonder Reine had seemed faintly familiar in an unplaceable way. The surname - that should have pinged. This would be why Robert had been so upset, then. History Jordan didn't know, that had been stirred up again after part of the equation had been balanced, until a new variable was thrown into it. Complicated, and moreso because people weren't equations and not solvable like that.
There would still have to be some form of understanding. Not reconciliation, maybe, but what he'd said to Candace held true here too: it was nearly impossible to avoid someone on a small island, and it'd be dangerous or outright deadly to allow personal differences to affect their behavior on missions.
