"Haha, someone thinks too highly of himself," Bellatrix teases. She is definitely NOT going to admit that he is right.
So, yeah, she thinks about him more than she should, and, yeah, seeing him sometimes makes it hard for her to focus on the task at hand. And, yeah, knowing that he is looking at her sometimes distracts the hell out of her.
And, s**t, he makes her happy. She is not supposed to be happy! She is supposed to be mean, she is supposed to be feared! Not all moon-eyed and stupid!
Dammit, dammit, dammit! What the hell does that mean?!
Well, she knows one thing for sure. . . . She isn't going to ask him about it. Nope. Her ego is the only one she is going to inflate, or expects to be inflated.
She pokes him, playfully, as she thinks through things in her head. She has a lot to examine. . . .

Signis chuckled, the chuckle of course, was to hide the hurt from her statement. Well damn, he's sorry for making her stupid and unhappy...
But then it hits him and he smiles.
She's scared, that's the only way to think about it, she's scared to admit that she's happy with him and feels for him...
Why?
No matter, something to investigate later.
"Well, you make me stupid and happy... So I guess I'll just have to be happy enough for the both of us hm?"

Bellatrix sighs, quietly, and lifts her head enough to give Signis a soft kiss. When she pulls away, some of what she is thinking is evident in her eyes.
Mostly because she is too distracted by her thoughts, and jumble of feelings, to keep them from her eyes as she normally does.
She then pulls away, and sits up. She blinks when she sees Lenore standing at the mouth of the cave, holding Bedtime.
Groaning, she stands, and plasters a wicked smile on her lips. "Lenore," she says, inclining her head a little to her.
"You forgot, didn't you," Lenore says, pushing through the curtains and eying Signis. Gods, she's Nyoka, but in reverse, she thinks, noting that he is older than Trixie. Of course, in Nyoka's case, her boyfriend was younger than her.
Lenore closes her serpentine eyes, and starts for the bedroom. "I'll wait in there. I brought you a new dress for tonight, Trixie. And, I expect you to watch over Bedtime. . . ." then, she disappears into the room.
Sighing, Bellatrix ignores the shortening of her name, for now, and turns to look at Signis. "She's rude sometimes, sorry. But, I do have to get ready for that stupid get together. Maybe I will see you later tonight? If I can't get out of it. . . ."

"Wait... Is it down on the mainland?" Signis asked, sitting up and shaking his head slowly, having watched Lenore leave. He smiled inwardly a bit at what he'd seen in Bellatrix's eyes.

"I believe so," Bellatrix says. "Lenore has yet to give me details, except to say that I am going, and that I am taking Bedtime," she rolls her eyes. "Why do you ask?"

Signis chuckled. "I'd heard about it, and I was tossing the idea of going around in my head, a few of my friends are going later this afternoon, so I figured I'd go with them..." He chuckled and shook his head.

"Well, good. You can spend some time with your friends," Bellatrix smiles. "If I see you there, I see you there. If I don't, no skin off of my nose," she blinks. Alright, that might have been a little harsh.
Gah, who cares?
Yeah, just stick your foot in your mouth. . . .
Shaking her head, she ammends. "I hope to see you there, is what I meant. But, you need some time with your friends as well. I mean, they were around before I was. And, if something goes wrong between you and I, you'll feel bad if you just ignored them."
Keep digging yourself deeper! 'You and I,' are you flipping mad?!
"Shutting up now. . . ." she mumbles, looking away.

Signis sighed and he pulled her to him, kissing her, then held her close. "Bellatrix..." He murmured with a smile. "My friends are my friends, and yes it is rare that I see them, but they are all busy, they all have their own lives just as I have mine..." He murmured. "I hope to see you there too..." He murmured and kissed her again.
"And don't worry about you and I, luv... I'm sure we'll work out fine..."

Bellatrix physically squirms in his arms when he says "love" again.
Such a horrible thing to call her! It's even more horrible because she is getting used to it already. . . .
But, his words comfort her, which makes her a little grumpy, and pouty. Being pouty makes her even grumpier.
She bites back a scathing remark, again wondering why she even cares, and says, "Yeah, yeah," and pulls away. "You had best go and get ready. Don't you want to look your best?" she asks, forcing a smile, and tilting her head. Then, in a teasing voice, she says, "Because, I won't be seen associating with someone that doesn't know how to brush his hair. . . ." She then laughs a little, though it might sound a bit forced.
Yeah, she is grumpy. . . . But, doing her best to hide that little fact.

Signis laughed and pulled her close giving her a strong kiss before pulling away. "Yeah..." He murmured and nuzzled her. "See you there luv, see you there!" He bowed and started to head out and then thought for a moment. "Oh, an do tell Lenore that I would love to have a chat with her, and to pass that same message to Nyoka..." And before she could object, he was gone.

Bellatrix watches Signis walk out, grumping. Like hell she is going to let them talk to him! Lenore would probably yell at him, and lecture him about the evils of doing . . . whatever with her. And, Nyoka would just tease the hell out of her.
Nope. Never going to happen. . . . With that thought in her head, she goes to see Lenore.
