Hearing his name, Asch's eyes tilted in the direction of the man who had offered him his mask earlier. The agent's frown deepened, wondering how he knew his name. Also, wondering at what this guy wanted to talk about.
After a moment of thought, he finally stepped over towards Izaya and looked down at him without taking a seat. "What do you want?"
He had no desire to waste his time with idle chit chat. Nevermind that he didn't really have anything better to do.

(Trainers, Mairu, Kurumi, Izaya)
"Thank you. And some how I doubt that Rosie." Shizuo said then fingered his pocket wishing he could smoke but knew better in the building. He wasn't fazed at the talking of Jerome's eyes, already had looked up the process in an idle moment. In fact he wasn't much paying attention to many of the group, having instead been looking around the room. He sent Dith a wave when he spotted the giant of a man then went back to scanning the crowd. It wasn't a good idea to not at the least know the general placement of people, though he wasn't expecting any trouble. Much anyway.
It came as a surprise to him however when he spotted two familiar Purrloins running towards him. Cue instant tension and a more heated gaze scanning the crowd for the owners of said troublemakers. He didn't stop looking even as he felt Mairu and Kururi rub against his legs. "What are you two doing here?" He asked them though he knew they wouldn't answer and with them being here it meant the flea was as well. When Rosie started to try to get them to dance he was only half listening, mind going in circles around the Flea problem. "...I'll be right back, I'm going to get some punch." he said then started to walk off, figuring with Jerome, Guy and Dith there Izumi and Rosie would be safe. Though he figured he would have two little followers if they didn't decide to just jump on his shoulders.

(Frost)
He couldn't help it, Xander had to laugh at the look on Frost face, or at least what ever was showing as his mind supplied the rest. "Yes, I was joking. I think they might have bottle water at one of the tables." The teen blushed slightly at the thought of more kisses from Frost though. "Ah well then I shall be sure not to touch the punch then so when there isn't as many eyes..." He trailed off and chuckled a bit. "True but I don't think it's a good idea to try telling them that."

(Anyone)
Natalia continued to wonder around the party with no real destination in mind other then to temporarily avoid anyone she knew. Not a very hard thing since she only knew Luke and Guy.

(Trainers, Jerome)
Well, the scary wolf-guy Jerome didn't seem to be... too bad. He was still creepy, and getting ink injected into his eyes was revolting and horrifying at the same time, but whatever. She could just ignore him and pretend he wasn't there. Dith, too, although he... no, both were hard to ignore for different reasons - Jerome because he was so dark and creepy, and Dith because he was just... Dith. Which was synonymous with enormous. And he thought she was a bird. "Close," she sniffed, folding her arms and sticking a hip out. "I'm supposed to be an Archen. A white one." Or whatever, she didn't know. Either way it worked, she had a dinosaur tail anyway. Oh well, whatever - that didn't matter anymore because Rosie said one of the magic words --
Dancing!
The feathered dino girl followed Rosie - she would've even if the pink pirate hadn't taken hold of her wrist - taking careful steps in her white heels with practiced grace. If there was one thing she was good at - besides shopping and being a spoiled brat - it was grace and poise that had been both taught by her mother and self-taught. Because really - how do you expect to find handsome boys if you stumble around like a headless chicken?
When Rosie paused to talk to Luke - ugh, that annoying idiot - Sera sashayed right past them to the dance floor. There was no way she was waiting. Plus, it wasn't like they were far from it at this point, anyway.

The hero, knowing full well that Asch would not have come to talk to him if he'd had anything better to do, allowed himself a tiny, self-satisfied smile. His suspicions were confirmed. There was someone in that group that interested him, if not several. Perhaps one or more such individuals had been the cause of his obvious distress earlier. Not that the agent would directly tell him.
"Several things. From you, not much. For one, I would have liked to know what got your skirts in a bunch earlier, but I doubt you'll let me know, judging by how personal the matter appeared. On the other hand..." He held up the mask that Aila had given him. "How close are you to our...mutual acquaintance? Besides strictly being her partner, of course."

Asch stared at the man for several moments and his prying questions.
"Considering I don't even know your name, I feel no obligation to tell you anything."
He wasn't about to engage in conversation with a stranger regarding personal information. Had he not mentioned him being her partner, he wouldn't have known that he was a member of Team Rocket or not. Clearly this man had been speaking to Aila quite a bit.
"We are partners and nothing more, and since you seem so willing to talk about it. Perhaps you could tell me what your relation is to her."
Asch didn't have anything to hide regarding Aila, and he spoke the truth. Thus he had no problem sharing this information, even if this man was obviously looking for something more. He wouldn't get it, because there was nothing more.

(Izaya, Claire, Isadora, Purrloin twins/Shizou) "Ah." Faleen replied, when Izaya mentioned that he had lost the mask. "I'm afraid I don't know where they keep the super hero masks." She did glance around the dressing room though, knowing he could probably just grab one from the aria he had gotten his first one. He seemed to have the same idea though, because just as quickly as he had arrived, Izaya was off again. The Agent watched him go, wondering what he was so busy with, when she looked back into the main room. Stepping out into this hall, was not comfortable, no part of Faleen was particularly looking forward to anything about this event, but at the same time, no part of her showed this discomfort. Not to say she didn't know what to do at events like this, or how to behave, so her head remained high, and her posture tall, helped along with the heeled boots she had put on. But even as they walked, Faleen's eyes could help but be captured by the wings on Claire's back, she had helped do some minor adjustments to them, and even now was considering just what more she could do with them had the she time and equipment with her... It might be a fun little project to poke at. This occupied her mind quite nicely, and she didn't feel so uneasy about the situation. That all ended abruptly though, when Umbreon made a sudden bark to grab her attention to what he needed her to see. Glancing down at the dark type, seeing him staring off in one direction of the room. Following his gaze, she saw what he was looking at. Those were Izaya's Purrloin... she wasn't aware he was so willing to let them out, but why were they not with him, and with a man she had never seen before. He wasn't Rocket, thats all she knew, this caused her to frown softly, noticing the group he was with, and with a jerk of further anger, the girl, in Pink among the group... thankfully she was running off. Still, ever cautious, Faleen drew back, boots stopping their progress forward as she quietly observed from her distance. "Go get them." she told Umbreon. reaching down to take the hat from his head, and the Umbreon vanished within the crowd. Faleen, was never off duty, especially not in the city. Umbreon, having easily weaved his way through the legs of people in the party, avoiding being stepped on, or making much in the way of contact. got within hearing range of the two twins dark types. He said, getting their attention.

"Considering you don't even know my name, I'd say I overestimated your observation and perception skills," Izaya answered testily. He was irritable now, and he wasn't about to let some kid like Asch give him backtalk like that; agent or not. Right now they were in an environment where ranks meant little, if anything. "Nakura. First at the karaoke bar, when you told me to leave your partner alone. Second time in the van at Sandalwood. Ring any bells?"
"Honestly, for an agent, I thought you would have better memory than that. Though I suppose as an agent, you probably have as little regard for your underlings as the majority of others in your rank..." He glanced up as Shizuo left the group, his brow furrowing before he continued. "I've known Aila since before she was a part of our particular profession; quite possibly before you arrived in the Kodo reigon and certainly before you were her partner."
His frown twitched. "Why was she so willing to help you? Did she even know what caused you such panic in the first place?"
Meanwhile, just as Shizuo had predicted they would, the twin purrloins trotted along after the zombie, Mairu going so far as to latch onto his pant leg. Kururi quickly followed suit on the opposite leg, mewling loudly at one of their favorite humans to be fed.
When they heard the call of a fellow dark-type, however, both girls flicked their ears, swerving in the direction of Umbreon. They looked after him curiously, wondering if they were being commanded to get off their new-found ride.

(Purrloin Twins)
Umbreon's red eyes flicked up at the Zombie human that he was remaining mostly hidden from. his muzzle scrunching slightly in what could be disgust. Umbreon didn't recognize him either, he wasn't a Rocket. He asked, looking back to the twins.

Asch's eyes narrowed dangerously at Izaya's remarks. Oh yes, it was coming back to him now. He knew he'd seen this person before, but he hadn't made a point to actually get acquainted with him. So this was the supposed project that had been thrust upon his partner. It all made sense now. Unfortunately for Izaya, Asch didn't share his interest in people and didn't bother with getting to know others unless he needed to.
"I believe common sense dictates, that if you want information from someone, resulting to petty insults is not in your favor." After all, Izaya should know that better than anyone.
"I still feel no obligation to tell you anything." And with that, Asch turned and proceeded to walk away. He had no desire to cooperate with this nosey idiot. If Izaya continued to pry where he wasn't wanted, he would soon regret it.

"Petty insults?" the hero repeated. "I'm sorry, did I say something to offend you? Not my intention," he answered, wearing a civil smile. "However, if I had behaved my very best and treated you with the respect of a king, do you really think you'd feel any more inclined to tell me what I wanted to know? I'm betting not."
Glaring at the red-head's back, Izaya made a mental note to find out more about his agent's partner, no matter the cost. If he had to ask Aila, if he had to blackmail Asch...he needed to know. Something was up. Something important. Just now, though, Shizuo had a higher priority on his list. The Human-lover leapt up and hurried into the crowd to find the ex-bartender.
Mairu informed the Umbreon, sounding surprised, as if it were common knowledge.
(he's nice)...> Kururi added, licking the zombie man's ankle.

(Tambrey, Aulus, general buffet area)
'Indie' made an amused sound and gave Aulus a look of good-natured disbelief. "Thought you said the jacket wouldn't show off your arms," he grinned, countering one complete falsehood with another. The friendly look passed over to Tambrey, along with a little nod of greeting. "Thanks. Yours too - though I guess you don't need that broom with him around." 'Him' was Lasi, who the blond sidestepped as the bat came down like a cartoony Dracula on the unfortunate cupcakes. Yes, the floor was sticky, but on the other hand, these weren't his boots.
Following Aulus' example, he ladled out some punch for himself, and raised a brow at the faint whiff of alcohol already in it. And it was only what.. ten o'clock?

If Asch had any desire to reply, he would have indeed confirmed that it wouldn't have made any difference. He wouldn't have told Izaya anything regardless. But Asch was not inclined and thus said nothing as he walked away. He didn't believe a single word that came out of his mouth. It was plain to him that Nakura was not a person to be trusted, and didn't deserve the time of day. Thus Asch would not gratify him with a response.
However, it was plain to see that this Nakura had a keen interest in Aila for whatever reason and Asch's relation to her. Keeping watch on the trainer group out of the corner of his eye, he scanned the crowd and finally spotted his partner once again. He moved to join her in her secluded spot. If this pissed off Nakura, then so be it. All the better really.

(Purrloin Twins, Izaya)
Umbreon's ears flicked forward, red eyes narrowing suspiciously, why were they playing with the man? Wasn't that close to the name Master's human partner had mentioned, what was going on?
Faleen still remained as a comfortable distance, cane held in her hands behind her back as she stood with her heels together. a soft frown on her face, as she watched Umbreon the best she could through the people. A familiar costume moved part her not to far from the aria she was standing in, it took a couple of seconds for her to recognize it as the owner of the two purrloin, though this time in... a wig and another mask. more of a disguise then before. "Nakura." She spoke, to get his attention, looking back over to the Purrloin. "Your ladies seemed to have gotten away from you."

(People around the punch bowl)
Bro had spent most of his time so far, completely out of sight from the party goes. but Jerome would also note, that there was a lack of his presence around the him. This didn't bother the Gangster, Bro' usually wandered off when he got board, but he always came back, or was around when Jerome needed to call upon him.
Bro always had Jerome's back.
Right now though, Jerome didn't need Bro' to have his back, so the gangar resulted to drifting around, checking around the building for all kinda of nifty things~ he found the power box outside, along with the fuse box, filled with all kinds of switches that were just itching to be flipped... but not yet.
The Gangar, markings over the side of his body glowing brightly drifted through the party, his arms folded behind his head in a casual lounge, eyes half lidded with a board expression on his face. Until the faint smell of alcohol reached his nose, and the Gangar froze, looking around with his eyes widening.
"Gar gar! Gangaaar" He chimed, as he floated around, sniffing as he went. and then he found it! sitting in a large, bowl filled with reddish pink liquid, and ice "Gangar!" the triumphant cheer if his discovery followed the large ghost type's urgency to part the crowd around the bowl. either unaware, or totally not caring that some of them were Rockets... higher ranked rockets at that.
The wide toothy smile was spread back over his face, eyes glowing brightly in his excitement as his hands rung together. Taking a deep whiff of the liquid, noting that it was diluted... but it was better then nothing! The punchbowl was promptly lifted up off the table, knocking the ladle out of it, and into the pile of cups sitting on the table with a clumsy clatter. Bro' tipped the bowl, pouring half of the spiked punch into his wide opened mouth.

(Aulus/Bro/Claire/Hayes... Anyone else close to the Punch bowl)
Tambrey blinked at the banter, perhaps vaguely wondering at it and a few things now. Well, okay then. "I think you were probably lucky to actually find stuff to make them work in there, though they seem to have a fortune's worth in costume bits in there... Anyway, they're good choices. Creative!" She enthused, before looking down at her hungry bat.
"Lasi!" Tambrey exclaimed gleefully, then realised what he was doing. Erm. Okay. Well, now he was full of sugar. /Great/. She frowned slightly but knowing how much trouble it would be to stop the pink bat let him finish devouring the treat. He did indeed lick the floor after he was done, but it certainly didn't give it much of a polish.
"If he could do that, I'd have a cleaning business." She commented in response to Aulus, then smiled at Hayes' compliment, but looked a tad embarrassed. "Er. Thank you. And. Well. Maybe soon." She admitted "He doesn't know 'fly' yet and I've not tried to get him to learn so far..." As the bat finished and looked up, she made sure he got a 'look' to tell him off, but a pat between his ears also to show she wasn't /too/ bothered by it.
And then there was commotion from the punch bowl itself. Tambrey's eyes widened a little and she took a step back. Well, a ghost type was seasonally appropriate, she supposed, but haunting the punch bowl was a little more bothersome than the spiking.
"Guhl?" Lasi enquired to his trainer. Should he do something? But he got another pat and Tambrey shook her head. Not yet. Not their punch and this was -someone's- ghost type. Let whoever that was deal with it first. Besides, she suspected Lasi would have trouble with such a pokemon.
