And poor Blossom freaked out so much for being found guilty that she choked on her own tears or something.
Anyway.
Then suddenly as Oujay was backing up against the wall, he was impaled by an invisible spike. He fell to the ground, but nobody saw or noticed him, because of the Blossom thing. It was only when the butler turned to leave that he facepalmed at seeing another person dead. He looked at the blood on the invisible spike that seemed to be floating. "What in.. how does that even.... ....you know what, there's only two of you left. Clearly, the killer has won here... unless you both are...!"
Suddenly, the tiny little Bozo began to emit a maniacal, high-pitched evil laugh. She jumped at the butler's face and knocked him into a wall, causing him to fall down unconscious. Ephraim gasped and pulled a lance from the grip of one of the decorative armor suits. Bozo and the lancer stared each other down and then engaged in an epic battle to the death. Ephraim's thrusts were swift and precise, but the little puffball was too small and too fast. She glided above the lancer's head and shook, shedding some strands of fur. The hair floated for a second, but then suddenly shot downward like needles into Ephraim. The lancer shouted and jumped back, but Bozo was ready. She shot right into Ephraim's face, knocking him over and causing him drop the lance.
The little puffball laughed once more as she slowly hopped towards the lancer to finish him off. However, Bozo stopped when she heard the words "Arcfire!" and turned around. Flames shot forward and spun around, completely covering the little creature. From the fires, Bozo shot out, having managed to avoid a fatal hit. She looked down the hall with the half of her face that wasn't burned and met eyes with the lord of the manor, Lord Zeon. As the lord intensified his glare and lifted his tome, Bozo realized she had to flee, so she quickly glided to the closest window and escaped the manor, having come out the victor.
Lord Zeon walked over to Ephraim, looked down at him, and then over to the butler who was waking up. The lord looked around at the dead bodies, debris from the fight, and patches of fire leftover from his spell. He glared down at the butler. "Clean up this mess." He then left to return to his room. The butler, rubbing his head, looked at Ephraim wide-eyed and blinked, unsure of what had happened.
Later that day, the city watch from Eyris finally arrived, having received the messenger pigeon that Sunil made sure got away. Captain Leon conversed with the butler for a while, getting all the info he had on what had transpired, and then walked over to Ephraim, the only surviving guest. He smiled to the lancer and put a hand on his shoulder. "Looks like you're the lucky one..." He then went inside the manor.
Ephraim looked down at the ground and sighed. "Yeah... maybe." A couple of watchmen then came over and escorted him to a carriage that would bring him back to Eyris.
Leon's investigation would reveal evidence that both Aruna and Dietrich were involved in the killings. Though it can never be proven if there were any ulterior motives, autopsy of their bodies suggested that they were being controlled, or rather, 'influenced' somehow by Bozo. As for that small creature, though Leon issued a search party, she was never found. But she is still out there. And she remembers... the one guest that got away.
