The match finally ended as the Zorua hit ...and slide a few feet on his side. He got up slowly and looked to see if the squirtle would do the same. He knew his claws had hit, there was blood there as he looked with heavy pants and his entire body shaking.
He had fought very hard for this win ....as the computer would chime in the victory.
In a flash of reddish light was gone ...even as he had started to topple over to one side.

The Counter was perfect ....as the Croagunk felt nothing but joy at his perfect stance.
Though there would be no attack at least not at first.
Any attacks thrown at him now, would cause nothing but damage to his opponent as he held his stances and then hoped that the Nidoran (f) would actually be able to break through his defense. Mouth stretching far beyond it's natural capability again, the Castform began a ghostly wail just as it had previously; yet in a moment it became clear this was far from what had happened before. The air shimmered briefly, and for a moment it seemed a trick of the light...then it shimmered again, seeming to waver from a distance.
At that moment they would notice the chill was gone from the room...in fact it seemed to be getting rather warm. Once more making use of it's ability to manipulate the weather defensively if it could not offensively, the Castform was attempting to suck all the moisture from the air, disrupting the Air Slash in the process!

The attack both of them were expecting never came. Vanni was still wary, though, eyes bright. "Get up," she ordered, not unkindly. "Scratch his eyes out."
Still shaken, Phoebe got to her feet. It seemed it was her turn to make the move. It was time to take some chances. With a shaky leap, she darted forward, little claws outstretched to Scratch.

Rita ran towards her fallen partner, grimacing lightly as she gingerly lifted him up. He wasn't dead yet... A good thing on her part, and she sighed a little. Standing slowly, she looked up. "I'll be back... I'm not giving up that easy..." She said with a frown, before turning and leaving to the pokemon center, utterly humiliated for her first match.

((Oh, right. Forgot to look up Swift's mechanics in the database before posting. However, I believe you used the wrong stats for your calcs, Lunar, since Swift is a special move. Should have been 7 - 6, not 6 - 7. Not much damage, but every point counts.))
The attack hadn't been very effective, but at least it had worked, Nen supposed. Anguish coiled and sprung again, trying to get back behind the Bellsprout to strike from the rear once more. This time it was less prepared, however. The Bellsprout had a reasonable chance of landing its blow this time.

Without the height, without out the force of wind behind it ...the Air Slash was easily defeated by the Castform's own currents. Aella lands back on the ground with all four paws still spread as the girl glares dangerously at her opponent.
This was getting to the point of being a bit annoying, but, there was theories for every problem ....and in one of those theories was the solution. She had maybe already stumble upon it ...as she call out the Emolga.
"Come here ...we are going to aim for another lift."
She declares sharply as the pokemon rushes forward towards her. This time she would have to risk getting hit as the black and yellow pokemon rushed towards her trainer. The Castform for the moment forgotten as she tries to rush over to complete their new objective.

The Croagunk would be hit by the attack, but he only smiled at the pain. It had all been in his plans as he drop his stance and before the Nidoran (f) could gain back her distances both of his hands would shoot off quickly. One hit towards her head, one hit towards her body ...both moving so rapidly that there was little to no chance of avoidance.
Though if they did hit ...if the Nidoran f couldn't manage to dart away from it ...she would be shattered from the outside inwards ...as both hits came with enough force to literally shatter brick.

This time the attack would hit ....as the vine whip slashes through the defenses of the Seviper. Once more the battle seemed to be quite rapidly spinning out of their control as the Bellsprout smiled.
This was what he had wanted when he had first struck, and if only things went his way ....this battle would end easily as his victory. The pokemon's leaves would curl back to protect him as he waited for the next attack.

Vanni nearly gave a most unlady-like whoop of joy, decorum be damned. The hit had landed well. But it wasn't over yet. "Keep going, Phoebe!" she said, settling for a iron strength in her voice.
Phoebe was shaking still, body surging with poison and adrenaline. She didn't want to lose, for both herself and her Giavanna. So once again, she flung herself into the air, leaping with the force to fly over the Croagunk's head... if she managed to clear those powerful hands.

She did, be it luck or otherwise, but the Croagunk would miss his mark. They would survive for another round as the pokemon snorts lightly ...he had taken that hit for nothing as he felt his chest, and drop into a much more realistic defensive stance.
He wasn't going to take another hit like that. His eyes narrowed ....as he waited to see what the Nidoran female would do next. Both had lost half of their life in a single exchange, and like her ...he didn't want to lose as he looks for her next attack.
Her next strike, and he would seek to quite easily turn it back on her.

Rita walked into the battle room, ready to go, if a little bit peeved at her earlier humiliation. "Let's go voice!" She called, flipping her black and green hair from her face and frowning as she looked up, pokeball ready in her hand.

Vanni breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the female Nidoran land behind the Croagunk with unusual grace Hand gripping her parasol like it was a sword, she ordered "Scratch! Make it count!"
The poison rabbit made a soft "thump" as she hit the ground. She was still shaking as though she might break apart any second- the rush of her first battle was intoxicating, and the pain was like a strong drug. With a snarl, she charged, ready to dig her claws into the frog with a sharp Scratch.

Impromptu flicked an ear as he saw the Mienfoo, looking back at his partner. Yes, partner, they were partners. Never to be called trainer or master, and she was never to say pokemon...they were partners, boss and assistant, and it was going to stay that way.
She gestured towards the bottle, "go ahead" at that the puppy Pokemon dashed over, opening his mouth up wide and letting his sharp fangs show. He clamped down on the bottle as he skidded to a stop, puncturing the outside of the bottle and making four holes where the liquid escaped down his throat. He kept his head tilted until the bottle was empty, tossing it to the side when he was done and calmly walking over to where he had started.
He wiped his mouth with a paw, " > Lets get this show started! <" the Growlithe exclaimed, lifting his paw up. he tapped the ground quickly five times, putting his paw down a sixth time and keeping it down for a whole second. He lifted his paw up once more and put it down for another second before flicking his ear, a smirk coming up on his face as he looked at his Mienfoo opponent.
the Magician behind him reached into her hat, taking out...a smaller hat. Just like hers, only instead of Pokeballs there was a single, blank faced card on the side. She held it by the brim, and with a quick snap of the wrist it flew through the air like a high-speed frisbee. The hat landed perfectly atop Impromptu's head, and his smirk only grew from there.
He tipped the hat downwards, casting a shadow over his face and making it so you could only see his white, toothy grin and gleaming golden eyes. "> And for my first trick, a classic! <" it seemed as if his whole front was starting to become overcome by a shadow at that, "> Now you see me... <" a few moments later and he seemed to have just vanished, golden eyes going away as if he had blinked but never opened. a second of pause before a loud growl was heard, the Growlithe becoming seen now as he pounced with his jaws wide open in what would be a powerful Bite attack if the Mienfoo didn't get out of the way!

The rustle of a cloak and the heavy steps of Raven once again filled the room, or at least a portion of it. Gaze set toward an empty spot, the boy promptly marched toward it without breaking stride. The only sound he made upon stopping was the subtle click of a PokeBall as he once more released Fable onto the field. He...they would not lose a second time.
