Nick ate rather quickly since he was so hungry but kept himself at a normal pace while eating. He thought for a bit before tapping on Matthew's shoulder to get his attention once the soldiers walked off. "Hey Matt? Where's Tanner and Kirin?..."

Once done with viewing the edges of the base, Kirin sighed and headed to the training area. Even without her armor and such on, she was used to fighting with simple hand to hand with a few other soldiers. Somehow, she always managed to be victorious, even when it was her versus about ten.

Nick nodded slightly in understanding. Once he finished his food, he paused for a moment and turned to Matthew again. "Do you think they'll ever get together?" he asked out of the blue.

Nick was quiet for a few moments before looking towards the door of the cafeteria. "Well, we'll just see then... Maybe it'll happen soon..."

Kirin didn't notice Tanner right away and continued her own training. It was her and five others. The first to charge was a male, aiming a punch right for her. Kirin was quick to duck, then aimed a low kick at the male's legs, knocking him onto his back. She reached to her side as if to grab her pistol, only to make a gun with her fingers and point it at him. "Bang." she said, her voice almost cold. The male remained on the ground, pretending to be dead, but he continued to watch the rest of it. By now, Kirin was technically surrounded by the four others. In all directions, they came after her, one by one. Kirin easily jumped over one and landed on the female's back, putting the "gun" to her neck and repeating the cold "Bang." The female fell forward as Kirin jumped off her back, flipping and landing on two males, "killing" them both. When they fell, Kirin looked around as she nearly lost sight of the last female. This fight actually lasted the longest with continuous punches and kicks, then the other female managed to grab Kirin by the throat. The female lifted her free hand as if it was another gun, but Kirin managed to kick the "gun" and even caught the female in the side of her head. Thrown off balance, the female let go of Kirin, only to be grabbed by the shirt and pulled closer until Kirin's "gun" was at her head. "Bang.."

Nickolas couldn't help grinning and nodding to Clay's bet. "I say no more than two days. I think it's gonna happen very soon~"

Kirin's head shot up to see Tanner standing there. "So you watched the whole thing," she said simply, more of an assumption rather than a question. One of the female's she was fighting with tossed her a water bottle. Rin easily caught it and took a quick swig while the others in the training area left, leaving Tanner and Kirin alone together.

Nick nodded in agreement and glanced over at Clay. "Well? What's your bet? It was your idea in the first place anyways."

"Because being a medic is what I love more. I've always cared for others in the past, and I don't see why I should stop now. I only learned to fight so I could go onto the field and help protect others from getting hurt in the first place." Kirin replied simply, even with a small shrug. "Hand to hand combat and long-shot sniping are my only good attributes. Anything in between, and I'm usually screwed..." She paused for a bit before setting the water bottle down, trotting over to a practice dummy. Without hesitating, she unleashed a series of punches and kicks, her eyes rather distant.

Nickolas grinned and nodded again. "Then we're all in agreement. Though... what happens if it's more than two days?..."

Kirin didn't answer until she finally took a small pause in her training. She wiped some sweat from her forehead and shook her head at Tanner. "None... that need to be mentioned..." she replied quietly, going back to her training.

With a simple shrug, Nick got to his feet. He paused for a moment to rest a hand over his chest before looking at the others again.

Kirin continued for a bit though she did catch the red in his face. "Are you getting sick? You look a little red... Do you feel feverish?" she asked while punching the dummy, her eyes still on Tanner. Heck, as a nurse, she would probably check on him in a second anyways.
