Z'el had heard across the din of the dining hall the other rider mention the nest of flit eggs. He'd never had a flit before, since Challiath was something of an overgrown firelizard himself. Lately, however, he'd entertained the notion of getting one of the little pests. It'd be so much easier to pull the supreme pranks if he had a little helper!

He waited for a bit while the others surged out, still pondering if he should try his hand at finding the nest. After they'd been gone a while, no doubt continuing to search, he finally pushed himself from the table and went out to look for himself. The blackrider couldn't say no to an opportunity like this.

Going outside and seeing a collection of people looking, Z'el began to dig around for his own chance at finding the eggs.

Yawing again Fick kept digging, wondering if he might have been happier if he'd just stayed and drunk klah after all. Stupid firelizards, and stupid sand. Well at least he could have a bath after this, and oh yes he needed to shave too. Erg. Maybe he'd just start growing a beard in order to avoid that chore.

The sun seemed to be glinting off the water, making her want to go for a swim. Phro seemed to sense what she was think, even though it shouldn't be possible, but she was up in the water, shaking her nose. Straightening up, Rikki started towards another pile of sand

Mercy smiled slightly "I don't think she talks to them more because she's white then just because she likes them...Aerith just likes to be friendly, I know there's other dragons who like them too and some who find them rather annoying - personal preference I think more then color" But who could tell really, perhaps color did pay some sort of role into it.

"I'm not sure really if they come to her..to be honest there are so many flits around the weyr that it's hard to tell why they end up where they do and we haven't had much chance to leave the Weyr to often yet" Maybe that would change soon..but mostly everyone seemed to want her and Aerith to take things more carefully then they did the other Riders. Since she took so much longer to mature then the others Mercy supposed that was reasonable. No one really knew how to handle a white and there weren't that many details in the records about them ..and no one even knew what was legend and what was truth anymore.

"Nothin' doin'," Fick replied, "I still think maybe they've all been found already." And yet he kept digging. Maybe he was just too dumb to quit.

"Maybe they have, but look at us. We still search." She moved up towards some of the greens, right along the beach. Maybe the flit put them here?

Deciding that Challiath probably didn't want to help with a beach so full of people, Z'el moved on to a new part of the shore. Where were these eggs? He hoped if he ever got a flit, it would be as tricksy as the one that had hidden this clutch.
