"How long till they sprout do you think?" She asked, taking a suck of her cig and lazily blowing a smoke ring or two before taking another drink back. For some reason, Gardener Billy was an amusing sight in her mind.

"Kaveri," she muttered disdainfully, though the offer to smoke seemed to cheer her up, and she gave him a lopsided grin, "You offering?" It was clear that she wasn't going to say no if that's what it had been.

He leaned back to grab the bag and the bowl he had brought with, "Shame I don' got a grinder, but what can y'do?" He was a lot more mellow than he had been since she knew him. He had been smoking a lot more lately, eating a lot less, (save for after smoking), and generally had calmed down. "No wrapping paper either?" Truth be told she'd rather smoke a blunt than a bowl, but at the moment she was too lazy to go back to her duplex in order to get the appropriate materials if he didn't have them. Instead, she waited for his answer after scooting herself fully on the bed, deformed feet and all.

The back of her neck prickled with anger when he called her spoiled, all the possible retorts forming at the tip of her tongue. However, in the end, she simply sighed harshly and made an irritated chittering noise, tails thrashing lightly behind. "Just hand it here hippy," she said, snuffing out her cigarette in the nearest ashtray and setting her beer down on the nightstand.

"Coke's disgusting," she stated, waiting for him to pass it to her before she took her hit. "Honestly I think you're much more pleasant without it."

"What the ********? I just complimented you," she rolled her eyes and shrugged, passing the bowl to him when she had finished with it, "But whatever."

"Jes' because ye don' like it don' give y'th'right t'knock it. It makes me feel alive. It makes..." He stopped, getting himself hungry again and instead, took another hit, this time a long, hard one. The herbs flaired red with an audible crackling burn, and he lowered it, holding his breath. When he exhailed, the cloud was thick, oily and seemingly endless from his lungs.

"I've seen people OD..." She trailed off, shaking her head as the subject was seemingly dropped. Those were memories she didn't really want to remember, and it was obvious he wouldn't even try to see it from her side of the fence.

"Funny," he weased, coughing heavily as he passed the pipe back to her, the glass sticking to his suckers untill she pulled it free, "I've nearly OD'ed meself. Almost had a heart attack, me."

"********," she sighed, taking a drink of her beer before accepting the pipe from him, shimming her way up the bed so she could lean back against the headboard lazily. The squirrel woman took another hit, holding it in before letting it blow out through her nose. "Why'd you start?"
