Laci sat down in the warm sand. It stuck to her skin, she would defiantly have to bath when she go home, she could already hear her mother's complaints about her ocean smell and her looks. Laci glanced down at their hands and found they were still holding. She blushed and looked out over the sea. "It is a beautiful sight."

Avarossa smiled "Oh yes, daddy is full of diseases. All boys are. Thats why you can't let them touch you for very long, or you'll get one and die a horrible painful death." She gave her husband a taunting smile.

"It most certainly is." Nihl replied, but he wasn't looking at the sea this time. He lifted the woman's hand to his lips and kissed it gently.

Grigori rolled his eyes, "When you get married though, then you can't catch any of the diseases from your husband. That's why mommy likes to touch daddy so much."
"Like kissy face?" Afsana wrinkled her nose at the thought.
"Yep." Her father replied, poking her nose gently, "You'll like someone one day, but wait until you're older. For now, boys are gross and smelly and have cooties."

Laci looked over to see him staring at her. She smiled softly when he kissed her hand. "I appreciate you letting me visit again. If it wasn't for your kindness, I would still be at home, with nothing but small memories of this place."

Paha laughed "Oh that's rich." Walking over he smiled at the child, "Just keep away from the boys. And you'll be safe."
Avarossa rolled her eyes at both of the men. "All men have cooties, even your dad. Better protect yourself, and just stay away from them all."

Nihl nodded and smiled in return, "I'm glad I was able to make you happy. I love seeing you smile."

"Even Daddy?" The small girl, despite the news, asked in a rather emotionless and more curious manner. "Daddy's too nice for cooties. Other boys are poo poo."

At a loss of what to say Laci just smiled. Until of course a large gray creature lept from the water, and lands with a loud splash, not too far from the shore. She watched in amazement as two more of them popped from the water and splashed back. "What in the world are those?" She asked watching as they moved across the plain. Laci had never seen dolphins before.

Avarossa laughed. "Daddy has them, but since your his daughter you can't get them. And since I am his wife, I can't get them." She smiled down at the little girl "I am going to remind her she said this when ever she starts to be interested in boys." She said turning to Grigori.

Nihl laughed, "Dolphins." He of course, then remembered that she was still new to the ocean and continued, "Of course this would be your first time seeing them. You're lucky they're not always so close to the shore."

Grigori raised both eyebrows and replied, "Riiight. Because she'll definitely believe you then, won't she? Won't you Afsana?"
"Nope." Afsana had no idea what she was replying to, but she was getting a little irked still waiting to leave.

"What are they doing hopping out of the water like that?" Laci asked turning her head to look at Nihl. She was amazed that he knew so much. His knowledge of the sea seemed great and she was eager to hear what he had to say.

Avarossa laughed. "I know. But it will be worth a try." She leaned in and gave him a small quick kiss, she had never been one for display of affection infront of her daughter. "Well are we all ready to go then?"

Nihl shrugged, "I can't say I know why they jump. They breathe air though, not like fish in the water." He stretched out his legs in the sand and nodded, "But they are rather friendly creatures. They're likely just jumping up like that for the fun of it.

"Yes." Afsana replied, sounding exasperated, as though she had been waiting for hours or days as opposed to a few minutes.
Grigori smiled with a small chuckle at his daughter and grabbed his wife's hand with the free hand he had to walk with her toward the town.

Laci laughed. "They sound more like little kids then fish." She wiggled her toes in the warm sand. "There must be thousands of creatures out there in the waters, I mean, think about how big it is. Let alone how deep it might be. I mean, does anyone even know how deep it is?"

Avarossa enjoyed the fresh morning air. "So where do you two want to go today?" She smiled down at the little girl "Want to go to a dress shop?" She knew the girl was going to say no, but she found it mildly amusing.

Nihl shook his head, "Can't think of anyone that's been to the bottom." He shrugged, "Well, the bottom in the deep."

Afsana hissed "No!" and clung to her father. "I want a sword!"
Grigori laughed, "Slow down, sweetie, you can't have a weapon before puberty." He kissed her forehead, "Something else, what about we just browse, hm? We can just find something as we go. Sometimes you don't have to know what you're looking for to find what you need."

"Hum." Laci sat pondering. If no one knew then it was possible that there were many monster still lurking beneath the waters. "I wonder what all is down there."

color=hotpink] Laci suddenly fell back to lay in the sand. Sighing contently she smiled up at the king. "Maybe one day you'll meet a mermaid and you can ask her all the questions you want about the oceans. And maybe she'll tell you everything." She said looking up at the sky watching the birds as the flew by on the early morning winds.

"I have a healthy husband, and a healthy daughter." Avarossa said giving his hand a small squeeze. "What more could a women want then a happy healthy family?"

Nihl smiled and laid back in the sand beside the woman, "Maybe some day. Until then though, I'm content just loving the sea from a distance in this case." He turned to face her, "What do you love?"

Laci smiled. "My family I guess. And I am beginning to fall in love with the oceans." She said looking over at the king with a grin. "And who wouldn't it's quit charming."

"How about then, getting the little on some sugar free candy." She said with a laugh. "It'll be good and she won't end up hyper." Avarossa looked to her daughter. "Isn't that a good idea?"
