But there are so no Americas. Seriously, the way things are, America should be brunette or Mexican or Cuban or Indian! X3
I can't really use country names in a Little Mermaid crossover, though... ^.^;

'Course you can, it'd be trippy and weird. xD Either way, if they're no longer countries, they're no longer their canon self right? Hetalia's about countries being personified- without being countries, the characters aren't really fulfilling their original purpose. Of course, you are correct about normal names being a lot less awkward in a non-Hetaliaverse-centric setting. rofl
South America or Central America, you mean.
If there was a proper North America, it should be like native americans. And USA should be the current "America". Though it'd be just like the US to call itself America instead anyways, so I guess it's not out of character for the author to let him call himself that... xD

Naw, I meant like the USA for Americas. I think PLENTY could pass off as south or Central America. I always wondered about continents in Hetalia. There's a canon Australia, but that's country and a continent, so I wonder if there's secretly to Australias. One that looks like the White settlers, and the other of the native people.
And meh. I try to keep my characters in character. Switzerland as the little mermaid or Switzerland as Eros makes things odd for country names... And I love Vash.

Yeah... the natives are pretty much ignored for colonized countries/continents in Hetalia, methinks. xD;; Unless I've missed a character like that. o-o
