She turned on her heel to aim at yet another creature-abomination-thing, a grin on her face. Candace was getting ambitious now, aiming for whatever part most resembled a head..
...Oh, wait. That wasn't its head. It was a rock. The bullet ricocheted off the rock with a loud noise and Candace winced, putting a hand to her ear. Owwwww. Loooooud! So much gunfire was making her head hurt.

There was no time to waste though. These things were getting closer and closer and there was no way that Tika was going to allow that as much as was in her power.
So she lifted the gun again and aimed. This time the teen had more favorable results. She hit one of the targets!

Oh right! Maybe she was getting the hang of this hand gun. Tika smiled and aimed again feeling just a smidge more confident then she had been feeling.
"s**t!"
That feeling of awesome soon dropped as she missed. Maybe her hits were just dumb luck ? Tika frowned but was not about to give up this fight.

Candace would have to deal with the miss and just make the fourth shot count. She was pretty sure she was almost out of bullets anyway. Just one shot more...!
She just barely grazed one of them, but it was a hit nonetheless! Sigh.

Tika was going to continue fighting despite her lack there of aim. There was no way she was going to let her team mates down even if she hardly knew any of them. She couldn't let them down.
This time around she didn't let them down having a good shot. Her ego inflated just a little and a smirk sprouted on her face.

All around him, the others continued to shoot, continued to fight, continued to fire. Hit or Miss. Shots in the (figurative) dark, some lucky, some not-so. He gingerly held his gun, glancing this way and that, watching as Bix and Tika and Gale and everyone else take a shot, hitting or missing, it was hard for him to keep track. Before knew he couldn't just stand there like some useless lump. This was their first mission and if Before screwed up and failed and be "never heard from again", well, he didn't want it to happen because he didn't even try to do s**t. As the recoil shoved his shoulder back into his socket, and his aim going awry, Before got a sinking feeling he was going to suffer from that fate soon.

The teal-eyed young man found his eyes drying as he kept a close watch on the advancing swarm of things. He thinks he shouldn't risk taking his eyes off their enemies because they were everywhere. But because they were everywhere, he hadn't had a chance to blink and felt his eyes begin to water from the strain. Before lost a staring contest just recently hadn't he? He didn't want to lose this one because hello, LOOK AT WHAT THEY WERE UP AGAINST!!!! @A@
He narrowed his eyes without actually blinking, easier said than done and failed. And when he realized he let out an annoyed snarl at himself, which wasn't particularly intimidating as it sounded more like a chihuahua rather than a doberman. With eyes blurry from dryness-induced tears, Before took another shot and... and...
Dude. He hit them! 8DDDD Wait, which one? @n@ He didn't even see it, just knew something that wasn't one of the people he rode the helicopter with suddenly flinched when he fired.

Was it their victory?
She narrowed her eyes, still hanging over Jeremy's shoulders even as the thing approached them - it was dangerously close now, and she stiffened, slowly pushing away from her friend as she readied her handgun. She shuddered as the thing's head broke backwards and then revealed its insides - she wasn't prepared for what she saw inside, but she tried not to show her horror on her face. Instead, she continued to stare, eyes narrowed, not quite sure what to expect next.
After all, she is now part of a horror movie with no playback button.
The gunshot that rang out sent the thing falling to the ground, but she couldn't tear her eyes off it in order to see the shooter. She assumed it was their superior, judging from how expertly the thing was shot, but she didn't care to confirm her theory. Instead, she watched as the thing disintegrated into some sort of black mist.
... Oh look. typical horror movie scenario! Being surrounded after taking one down!
Inhaling deeply, she gritted her teeth and took a few steps back, gun raised. Her hands were gripping the weapon so tightly that her knuckles had turned white, but she had a small grin on her face as she released the safety lock on the gun, aimed, and shot at the nearest creature.
Too bad the shot didn't really do much damage.

Scott's brow furrowed, trying to quell the panic rising in his chest. Every time he got one of the creatures lined up in his sights, he was distracted by another lurching forward, moving a few inches closer, making itself the priority. He couldn't just target haphazardly, every shot had to be the most strategically advantageous. Yet such thinking had him wavering between one monster and the next, trying to discern which would reach them the fastest. When he finally did pull the trigger, his bullet end up sailing between two of the abominations who were at pace with each other.
He dully noted that missing was in no way a strategic advantage.
Oh, hubris. He was paying dearly for it now. Perhaps it would help to imagine them all as helpless women? He was apparently very skilled at shooting those. His face screwed up in displeasure, barrel lowering a few inches as he told himself to get a grip. He stared forward determinedly, unwilling to meet either Hanna or Scarlett's gazes... though he'd hope they were more preoccupied at the moment than to watch his failures.

It is bad to feel cocky; once you feel that way, it is almost impossible to improve... There is a line between confidence and cockiness, and she likes to think that she is on the side of 'confidence'. However, she couldn't help grinning, feeling a sense of mild achievement as her next shot hit one of the creatures advancing towards them. The recoil was getting easier and easier to deal with, and she no longer felt the sting from it as much as before.
That or the adrenaline was making her ignore it.

... Being cocky really is bad for a person. Frowning slightly, she wasted no time in preparing for her next shot. Hearing the two 'clicks' from her gun, she then held it up again, determined not to fail a second time.

She swore softly under her breath as she frowned, taking another step back as the things came closer; tch, any closer and she might have to... Box them or something. She would rather not touch any of them unless ordered to, really.

He hadn't stopped yelling like Rambo. He also hadn't taken a breath. How long could he do this for?
He squeezed off another round into the monster horde. It went even better than the previous shot! He blew away another monster but it was starting to become difficult to know which shot was yours and which was someone elses. Everyone was firing and the monsters just kept coming, riddled with wounds.

Apparently the screaming took it's toll. This shot was accompanied by the white haired hunter gasping for air while he squeezed off another shot.
He panted like a dog as he fired. Perhaps Gale's advice had worked as he now seemed to be nailing the monster left and right. It was easy to forget how scared you were when you were emptying rounds into your monstrous foes!
