Kichea nuzzled him, and mewled like a kitten. She opened her mouth to tell him the news when the two bundles of fluff bounded out from behind the rocks and nuzzled their mother's legs. She purred at them. "I have given birth again... to daughters."

He dropped to his belly to peer at them. "Daughters..." He smiled when the darkest one tried to hide behind her mothers leg. Adorable, both of them.
Nasseken hid behind her mother's leg as a large face peered at her. The little cub was both scared and shy. He smelt like momma did, but he was so big...

Kichea smiled and lifted her paw to show the dark one. "This one is Nasseken..."
The other cub, lighter in color, a grey-silver, pounced Akin's front paw, growling at him.
"And that one is Casai."

"She is a shy little thing..." Akin watched his dark daughter pushed back against her mothers back legs. "And this one..." With a mock growl he nuzzled her.
Bewildered eyes watched her sister pounce the males leg. "Momma?" The little voice was shaky and scared.

Kichea smiled happily. "I think they will make us proud." She leaned down and nuzzled Nasseken. "It's alright, little one. This is your father. He wont hurt you."
Casai grinned as she looked up at her mother. "I like him. He's fun." She said quite openly as she continued to pounce the massive paw.

"I have something much more fun for you to play with, Casai." With a wide, silly grin the young King dangled his tail in front of the gray cub.
"He...he's daddy?" Nasseken curled under her mothers neck, peering out at the Silver King. So big though...

The little cub's eyes went wide as she watched his tail feathers. Her mouth fell open in awe as she realized that they wanted to play with her. She leapt straight up, swinging her paws madly at them before gravity caught her tiny body and brought her back down to earth with a thump. She winced as she got back up and pounced again, failing once more.
Kichea grinned at the antics of her obviously much more assertive daughter before smiling softly at the shy one. "Yes. He's your father. He wont hurt you, I promise."

Laughing softly at Casai, Akin's gray feathers swung back and forth. Like a lazy pendulum they swung within the little ones reach. "Where is Shairi, love?"
The Ebony Princess inched out from under her mother to stare at Akin. He was treating Casai nicely and that meant that he was nice...Loathe to break into the play she turned back to her mother.

"Shairi? I have not seen her since you talked to her..." Kichea wondered briefly. "It is not unlike her to vanish, you know that. She has an independant spirit." She was proud of her first princess.
Shairi bounded around the border thinking. Could she take over for her father? She knew her mother was pregnant again. That meant a hope for a boy. But what if the cubs were girls? Would she still be the heir? Or would one of them? She wanted so much to wander from these lands and find a mate of her own. Her brother had done so, and created his own pride. If she were to visit him, would she make friends of her own?
Casai watched the feathers, studying their movement. She would get them the next time she pounced. She had every intention of pinning the colorful teases to the ground and chewing on them, just enough to let them know that she wasn't one to be teased. Then she'd let them do it again. She smiled to herself. It was a fool proof plan.

The gray and black feathers swung so tantalizingly within reach. Though he was talking to his mate, the King was aware of his daughter. She had a sharp mind and a strong willpower for one so young. A future Queen...maybe. "She needs to know she has siblings..."
"Shy...Shy-ree?" Nasseken fumbled with the name and glanced up at the black form of her momma. "What is a shy-ree?"

Kichea smiled. Of course the new ones wouldn't know of their sister. "Shairi is your sister. Elder sister."
Casai readied herself for a pounce as the feathers seemed to moove lazily within her grasp. She crouched, and pounced at them, pinning them to the eathen floor. "That'll teach joo not to mess wif me!" She growled at the feathers, as if they could understand her and were not a part of her father.

The tail feathers wiggled under her paw, working themselves free. "We should call her to us."
"Sister?" Nassi looked at Casai. "Casai is my sister!"

Kichea nodded to Akin. "I will." She didn't want to frighten the little kits, but she had to call to Shairi. She nudged Nassi to Akin. "Here. Stay here for a moment." She nuzzled the sweet little one. "And yes, Casai is your sister, but so is Shairi." She smiled softly before padding off down the rocks, a little ways away. When she could no longer see her mate, she let out a roar that rocked the savannah, calling out for her eldest daughter.
Shairi's ears perked at the sound of her mother's call. She was needed. In the blink of an eye, she was off, dashing toward the call.
Casai kept all her weight on the feathers, but still felt them wriggling free. She growled at them, then looked at her father. "I got 'em, right?"

"Momma!" Nassi looked up at the Silver King with a gulp. "Mo-momma..." She would have bolted for the cave but for the large paw that pulled her to a large chest. A soft, warm tongue bathed her fur and she relaxed.
Akin pulled his third daughter to his chest and started to clean her. "Yes you did, Casai, but you have to let them go."

Kichea waited for her daughter to arrive, which wasn't too long as she seen saw the black spot that was Shairi heading for her. "Shairi, my songbird. Come... Your father and I would like to introduce you to some very special cubs."
Shairi nuzzled her mother. "Then you have given birth?"
Kichea looked surprised. She thought no one knew.
Shairi smiled. "I'm more aware than you like to acknowledge." She said smartly. "Boy?" She questioned. Perhaps this would free her from her duty.
Kichea shook her head. "Girls. Casai and Nasseken." She said as she lead Shairi up to the rest of their family.
Casai frowned. "Awww, but do I have to?"
